  1. I think a lot of people throw parts in without testing or understanding what the bottlenecks are so you might find that a good turbo/head combo is worth more than displacement as the bottle neck is the head flow at this power. Not saying capacity won't help, but might not show its true potential til later in the power game. Tao was schooling me on the CA as I had some ideas and he basically told me flat, do nothing else until you put cams in it as that's what stops them breathing beyond what a T28 is capable of. Pays to listen to experts, sometimes. Fantastic result dude
  2. Just buy some -9s and call it a day or spend what you would have on the conversion and do a nice little EFR 7670.
  3. *cough* current M3 and M4 are twin turbo... But... a bigger motor and proper variable cams. Things a GTR should have had in the 34
  4. That's just rediculous lol I can't wait for you to drive it and report back Start a Kickstarter for a 1.45
  5. A solid 600+rwhp with solid response will be such a drag mate =\
  6. Just race from traffic light to traffic light and you'll be fine, maybe? A mate of mine still gives me shit about chopping my old GT-R in his Bluebird when I had a busted AFM lol
  7. I dont think you made a bad choice at all, i just came across a cheap turbo and couldn't say no.
  8. Not yet! Did buy a turbo though... and have been tinkering on another project for the moment.
  9. Just update that, as someone reacted to it. 380rwkw now, same lines, but removed pressure regulator in tank and upgraded to aeroflow fuel filter.
  10. lol wtf Are you one of those dudes with a man bun who needs likes to feel good about yourself or something.
  11. Best attitude to have for a project car. Avoids a lot of hurt feels.
  12. Read the same thing on pressures, like high 30s to 40 0_0
  13. How do they rate vs cost to the NT01s? I'm assuming NT01s are better than RSR, so will still be an upgrade for me
  14. Then remove it next track day coz it leaks and from all the cracks. Cast = win.
  15. I don't like big flares and 255 is plenty. The issue is less vband and more T3 manifold. I can run an adapter I guess but didn't want to change manifold just for this turbo when I wanna have it cut up for a ext gate flange anyway.
  16. Just a 60, it was half price and new so couldn't pass it up given I almost never see any gtx stuff second hand, let alone new fit second hand prices. I need to deal the rear housing as its T3 and v band. So if anyone has a T2 .64 standard 5 bolt dump let me know.
  17. As per the title, basically new T3 vband rear housing, .64 from GTX28 framed turbo including new dump and and manifold flange. Will swap for T2 .64 housing to suit Silvia, 5 bolt dump. Also after a 44/45mm gate and another CA turbo manifold.
  18. Get around china's finest. Ordered some of those 30mm flares. Long wait for them though, couldn't find anything locally. Tinkering away on the some other bits and pieces.
  19. Mine is HPI dumps and matching front pipe into custom 3.5" from my fabricator. Not loud or droney at all and flows well enough it seems. Send your car to him, I'll make sure he looks after it and even test drive it for you I just used an Apexi N1 Evolution Rear muffler and a nice big Magnaflow mid-muffler.
  20. When the jokes so good someone makes it again...
  21. Guard rolling was a fail, need to go too far out. Looking at something slimline like this, unless someone has a better 20-25mm or so option that doesn't require a full quarter replacement. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-5cm-1-JDM-Fender-Flares-GOLD-STYLE-UNIVERSAL-set/253130887412?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 or http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Universal-JDM-Fender-Flares-Wheel-Arch-1-2inch-30mm-4pcs-Wide-set-ABS-Plastic/282457560738?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 Turbo here this week, but no rush on fitting as i wanna get tyres on and go do laps.
