Poncam is the model name of these specific camshafts. They are designed to bolt straight in, you dont need to do any head modifications.

I have the Tomei poncams up for sale at the moment out of my motor. They are the 260 in/ex ones, have only done a few thousand km's in the motor with VERY minimal wear (not even 1%). They are awesome cams for someone with a GTR that has upgraded small twins (N1's, 2530's etc) and they changed my whole car when installed and created a lot more power through the whole rev range as well (and it stopping the motor from having an asthma attack over 8000rpm). Looking for $600, pickup from southside. Want these gone today or tomorrow.

Kangaroo Valley Cruise/picnic And Cricket Game
Amaru replied to DANSR33's topic in Australian Capital Territory
It is a nice bit of road but one word of caution... FOLLOW THE SPEED LIMIT AND DO NOT OVERTAKE CARS ON THE HILL I was unfortunate enough to see a fatal bike accident due to a moron getting impatient, speeding and doing some dodgy overtaking... I will never forget the image of a biker who had been thrown a clear 100 metres off his bike down a very steep embankment. Just enjoy the scenery and respect cars on the road even if they are going slow, it can be a very dangerous drive and its not worth putting your life and others at risk (and the closest ambulance can be up to 30 minutes away) -
Nor do I care... its your car not mine See above And if you looked at what rims his actually were you wouldnt open your mouth and realise they are genuine made in JAPAN with rubber worth probably the same amount... yet youre allowed to question his finances saying he needs to spend more on rims, yet im not allowed to make a similar comment back? Sounds like a classic case of you can dish it and cant take it in return. You make stupid comments, you should expect to get stupid replies. Something like "I dont like his choice of wheels" probably would have gotten a better response.
-
I have seen your car at many events and think it looks shit as well, if you can afford to put GTR panels on it im sure you could have afforded to just buy a GTR in the first place? Youre allowed to your own opinion, but in my opinion, you went about this one completely the wrong way. Either way, I personally know the owner and I know for a fact he is happy with his car which is all that matters. P.S: Those rims (unless changed) are genuine Veilside and cost more than you can possibly imagine and suit the car very well, but ill pass on your comments that he should make a trip to Tempe for you since the wheels on his race car dont appease the bling masses.

My newest ride to appease me until the GTR comes back... She is a 2005 model stock as a rock with the LS2 6 litre V8. Remove MAF and retune and exhaust will be coming soon which should up the power to 300+rwkw. Go the dunnydores!

Yep I was driving out as a white R33 was coming in, came back a bit later and a black R32 and an R33 rocked up as well, but I had to leave.

Hitting the speed hump and it sticking on front torque sounds like it hasnt been bled properly. I would double and triple check that ALL the air is out of the system. Aside from that, mine started working a bit funny and slowly when I used other brand ATF's, I refilled it with Nissan Matic D which is what Nissan reccomend and never had the problems again *shrug*.

Is anyone going out? Ill be out tonite and come past

The owner of the car is on the forums quite frequently and ill show him this thread as well It is a very tough car though and isnt just a show pony, its quite often out and about in Canberra P.S: It also makes a fair whack more than 500kw now in its every day street tune on pump fuel

The old dragway had full ACT government support, but was on leased land from the federal government. The federal government decided they wanted the land back and took it back... end of Canberra dragway. Theres nothing reuseable at the old dragway anyway, having been out there recently the track is destroyed with weeds etc growing through it.
-
Yep it has the full boot trim... the GTST and GTR boot trims are different though (if youre after GTR one)
-
Ive got a wrecked R32 GTST im going to part out soon, ill have a look this afternoon and see if the climate control was still in it

I know your situation was alot different than mine Richard, but Xx in the end did go out of his way to make sure everything went as painlessly as possible and did prove to me it was out of his hands, and I left there with no hard feelings towards him. I still believe he is a great mechanic, but for the calibre cars going there the business model couldnt really sustain it in my opinion. Given the opportunity to work at somewhere like CRD or RacePace, im sure Xx would become one of the better mechanics in the country in regards to these types of cars. That also applies for the apprentice working there, Jaxxx. Whilst I dont want to see any financial pain inflicted upon those two individuals, I do wish financial burning for the company as a whole after the down right low stunt they pulled with my friend last week.
-
Well... where do I start... I wasnt going to post anything but after the way XXXXXXX shafted my friend the other day, I decided I would post up a few comments. Having spread word to help build a business for a company I thought could do the right thing in the Canberra area, it was to my dismay when they attempted to shaft me a large sum of money recently. What was more pathetic was they sold some parts on behalf of me, gave me an invoice with the money for the parts missing off it, and when I questioned this I was told "oh the money was taken off we just didnt put it on the invoice". Sorry guys but how am I meant to believe that? Were talking about a large sum of money, being a business you should receipt every financial transaction so shit like this doesnt happen. So after some arguing it was finally settled. Was I happy with the outcome? No I was not, but I was willing to pay the money to get my parts out of there and have the issue settled once and for all so I could move on. To the one person at XXXXXXX that has done everything on my car, this is not a dig against you as you always tried to do the right thing by me. Unfortunately your receptionist and I assume boss have made the whole lot come crashing to the ground. As for what XXXXXXX did to my friend... after them rebuilding his car for 2 years, he got a phone call last week saying "we dont want to do the car anymore, come and pick it up, you owe us money". So now he has a car thats been in build by them for 2 years, theyve decided they dont want it anymore and shafted him AND tried to charge him more money for the pleasure. That is a new low for a workshop in my book and all I can hope is everyone agrees and speaks by not bringing cars to you anymore. Needless to say, my car is now at Croydon Racing Developments in Sydney and I am stoked with their service and professionalism. Some people comment that they charge too much for work, the difference is they know these cars inside out and do the job once and do it right, down to every minute detail that others would miss and come back to bite you in the ass 6 - 12 months later. P.S: Im with Richard... Pro Engines rocks!

The insurer has to repair the car to a quality standard of what it was before the accident. They will never (or rarely) use second hand parts due to unknown condition, it will majority of the time be brand new parts. I know if someone smashed my car and the insurer fixed it with second hand parts I would be really pissed off. I havent been in this exact situation but my sister has. In the end she coughed up the money for it, as to fight it in court would have cost more in legal fees, especially if she lost than it was worth to just pay for the damage.

There was a post on a different forum by someone who visited the HKS technical factory in Japan only a few months ago, where sitting along side their track evo was the R33 GTR. He seemed to hint that it had just undergone an extensive rebuild and was being prepped for a return to the track.
-
Yeah I was shocked at the ticket prices too. And you will see the cars out multiple times during the day, not just once... and thus far, every time the HKS car has gone to an international event they dont strictly do drags with it either (those that saw it on the rained out day at willowbank will understand).
