  1. Well it wasnt sold to me as a V-Spec, but as a normal GTR with Brembo's so im not fussed about that (e.g. I didnt buy it because it was advertised as a V-Spec). Have attached a pic of the VIN plate, it looks real and doesnt look like it has been changed.
  2. Cool, thanks for that. I seem to recall that happening a few years ago when it was FAST'ed. Wonder why it lacks the 7 on the end of the model code which would indicate its a normal GTR, as according to that code site a lacking number means its a V-Spec... *shrug*. It has all the V-Spec running gear and a few other 'mechanical oddities' every reputable GTR workshop I have taken it to has never seen before, so ill keep calling it my B-Spec
  3. Can anyone tell me if KBNR32RXFS AA is a normal GTR or V-Spec? Bought it 5 years ago as a normal GTR, but the chassis plate decoding page seems to indicate it would be a V-Spec. Not fussed either way, it has Brembo's on the front, standard Nissan callipers on the rear and a few other V-Spec pieces in it. It will always be my B-Spec (bitsa everything).
  4. The fuel in my GTR has been in there for 3 years... guess im boned
  5. The Tomei stroker isnt a full counterweight crank and the materials can be different. It depends which step HKS stroker you are talking about.
  6. Nick used to browse the forums occasionally and head out on the odd Friday night, and was the original owner of R32 GTR with JUN number plates.
  7. 10 free beers? Thats enough for me to drag my ass out.
  8. Hi, I am after an RB26 in any condition from blown to built for 1000hp. Dont require any piping or accessories etc, just the bottom end + head + sump. Cheers, Nik
  9. Spotted Nick's old beast JUN parking in Civic on Saturday night. Still looks and sounds as good as ever.
  10. Theres already a million threads on SAU (some stickied) that talk about these things when buying a skyline, a 2 minute search will find them for you. The only way to get true and believable genuine km's is to buy it brand new. If youre picking it up second hand, the next best thing would be to buy one with log books. A log booked car will always be more expensive though, at times up to 50 - 100% more... and rightly so. You are paying for the knowledge that your car probably hasnt been fiddled around with. If you go for one without books then you are playing the russian roulette equivalent game known as importing a car. If you dont like the rules, dont play the game. You're not the first to feel hard done by, and certainly wont be the last.
  11. There hasnt been nice (and actual summernats entrant) cars out in Braddon since 2005. A few nice cars got trashed that year in Braddon (one that stands out is a beautiful Walkinshaw getting pelted with bottles) and the police came down extremely hard on entrant cars cruising around that year too. So they dont really go out anymore as its not worth it. The crowd control is better inside the summernats these days so if you want to see the good cars, go hangout on Tuff Street inside on Friday night.
  12. Spotted a white GTR which I havent seen around for about 2 years *coughs*...
  13. I can show you one at very short notice... if you reply to my pm... oh and did i mention i think the owner is looking to buy a house soon too???
  14. I think in terms of the friendship I had with Integra and the way I fell out with them, I potentially got f@#ked over harder than anyone there, excluding one person. After some events though it did open my eyes that Ed was often "overruled" per se on pricing quoted to people by others involved with the business. I also believe he was "directed" by said others to cut short work etc which assisted in some reputation ruining. However I have also heard since he has moved to Autotech things are 1000% better as hes not being forced to push cars in and out as fast as possible and "upper management" at autotech focus on a quality outcome, rather than trying to make some quick money. But in saying that, I could be completely wrong as well. Its just sad that some of the most prominent and proficient places in Canberra ended up going down the shitter.
  15. Ed never owned Integra, Anthony was the main man in charge and the cause of Integra's 'demise' in my opinion. Ed was/is a good guy, did the work well and left the billing to those responsible for it.
  16. They finally kick you out? I believe my new employer may need some winblows admins.
  17. Thats what you get for buying bombs Hahaha funniest thing fitzy ever said
  18. Ouch, that sux =( Hope the rest of the car is ok. Unfortunately the laws that govern this great place we live in give police and specific rta staff power to issue defect notices how and when they see fit. Doesnt matter how defectable the car is, they can even send a 1 month old brand new stock Commodore being driven by a 75 year old lady over to Dickson for an inspection if they want. And 9 times out of 10 if you try and argue it, they will reduce it to a minor defect but dont be suprised when you get a "random vehicle reinspection" notice in the mail over the next few weeks =)
  19. I heard a rumor they would only accept ACT cars if they had Franjipani stickers
  20. Check all vacuum lines and intercooler piping for any leaks or loose clamps. As its starting to build positive boost pressure it may be blowing open a small leak. Clean the AFM as suggested above, o2 sensor I wouldnt worry about too much (as mine ran fine for years without) and also check the o-rings on the injectors (the problem that elluded me for 6 months).
