I bought 1m (smallest amount they would sell me) of black, coiled hose which goes around corners without kinking as it has a metal coil in it. so basically its ideal to make a cold air intake from the front bumper anyway, i only use about 30-40cm so theres still over half of this stuff left. i paid $25 for the metre, but will sell whats left for $10 to anyone wanting to make an air intake (good, easy mod:D) let me know on this thread, or on 0421671266 if you want it. would be easy to pick up on the cruise on saturday! cheers adam

What causes boost to spike when using a bleed valve? Is there anyway to prevent/minimise this? Under what conditions is boost more likely to spike? Ive been told to minimalise the hosing i use from the wastegate actuator to the bleed valve and then to the throttle body (i think thats how its setup) is this a good start? thanks adam

the only problem with circular ones is finding somewhere in the engine bay to mount it...

on australian fuel (98 octane) i dont thinky you should run over 1bar (14.5psi) with octane booster and the right tuning im sure 1.5 bar is possible but over time the engine will breather more and wear out due to such high boost levels. im running my t04 at 14psi with a bigger pump and std injectors at 90% duty cycle

15.0-15.1 hence my dazzling time with the T04 on 8psi

you can get a flat 13 from 200rwkw or so if you setup the suspension right. but drag times arent everything, wheres the fun in driving in straight lines? you need to find the balance. and id be damn happy with 250rwkw i couldnt get to the ground:D just hope im rich enough to buy a new set of tyres each week anyway good luck dinesh, looks like the cars coming on nicely and with 13.8 youre already one of the quicker R33 gtst's down the 1/4 mile :uh-huh:

well ive been under my car for the last 30minutes. i can confirm that my TA34/T04E turbo is a .50 compressor and 1.06 exhaust hahaha its frickin huge! anyway, for reference on an RB20 this 1.06 exhaust housing spools at 4000ish. it varies slightly with conditions (ie gear, up or downhill etc) but if i nail it in 2nd in a straight line you get full boost by 4000rpm. this sucks for getting the car sideways or taking off quickly but it kicks ass for freeway overtakes/pulling out of corners.

just went outside and looked at turbo compressor AR is .50 cant see shit on the exhaust side.

i didnt actually read the whole thread. besides mack we dont know how big my exhaust wheel/housing is cos we havent looked!

ive got a t04e on my RB20. lag is pretty bad! full boost by 4-4500rpm but it goes fairly hard when on boost. am currently making 201rwkw @ 14psi

its not illegal if you have a small filter on it (i dont think) my catch can just has a few holes drilled in it to provide ventilation which i believe would be illegal however no-one has ever said anything to me about it...
