Welcome! I'm absolutely *not* the expert in this area so I'll leave others to give more info on your q's. Its pretty cool to me that Mine's use Australian turbos.

This is a great thread and going to be super helpful for me too. We moved into this place 3 years ago and the single garage has a really high ceiling, enough for a lift, but the car has never even been in there. I have so many BMW parts and even a heap of parts from my R33's, the last of which I sold about 20 years ago. I'm sure I still have a HICAS lock bar. I also have a saltwater aquarium and I have so many pumps and lights and supplements for that. I really just need to chip away. Sort whats to keep, throw and sell. Like you guys I hate dealing with people online when selling stuff and I try to avoid it but a lot of this stuff will be useful to somebody and we already throw so much out. I have lots of shelves, but they're not well organised or stacked so I need to start there probably.

Jumped in to do the trial with the Alfa around Watkin's Glen. I think I was around 1.16 flat which was good enough for gold at the time. The MX5 trial is tricky, its so had to keep the speed up.

Interesting to me to hear you say this because I've always wondered about this aspect with older cars or cars with fewer available parts. Will you leave yours as a race car or return it to a streeter?

I was thinking about a hoist, the ceiling is very high, but half the garage has a half-height loft for storage and I dont think I'll even be able to jack the X5 up under it as it almost hits me in my 6'5" elevated head when i walk in there. And, yeah nah, maybe if I can convince Bec to let me get another car she'd be open to having as many as we can fit (cough @Duncan) but until that time you better steer clear! 🤣

The 'About Us' got me .. I added something to the cart and clicked 'check out' and none of the payment options in the footer (ie those with buyer protection) were available. Stay the hell away from this one.

Damn it "The GR Supra Supercar will use Toyota’s 2UR-GSE all-aluminium, quad-cam V8 as its baseline engine." There might be no BMW in it! 😢 Regardless, this will be a great addition and I'm keen to see it.

I really need to work out better tagging for location or model specific content. The default tagging system is woeful.
