  1. It sounds like you had a bit of an adventure Rob! I hope to see you around at some more SAU:NSW events. Then I can pick your brain more on Montreal. LOL
  2. The run off real isn't a problem. In the areas there is very little, your car doesn't want to point in that direction if you do lose it, and due to the low speeds (I believe max speed I heard on the day was 130KM/H. Eric can confirm what he was getting down the straight in the GTR). If you do lose it, you don't get that far off the track (Unless you're Duncan and do it with WOT in 3rd with 400RWKW being let loose... And even then, it wasn't a big off) The track is awesome as Duncan said. And we will be booking it again. We had 3 cars who had issues with noises, and they all ended up being allowed to run, as the MDTC staff will help you to quieten it down, in quite a smart way. In regards to booking again, we can basically pick a date that is more then 6 to 8 weeks away, and we can nearly be guaranteed to get it.
  3. OMG! How awesome was the food... I loved it!!! And I do have to say a HUGE thankyou to Kat for helping me out. While I started organising this dinner, Kat did so much work for me behind the scenes, checking restaurant availability, booking it. And a thanks to everyone who turned up, I know I had a good dinner!
  4. Mine was great, I went out friday night, went to a track day on Saturday, had dinner with some SAU peeps on Sat night, and went to help another member remove a stump... All in all a very fun filled weekend...
  5. Just got home. Awesome dinner guys! Thanks for coming. I think we ended up with 16 people in total.
  6. Okay... Just got home. It was a great laid back day! Such an awesome little track too. Thanks to everyone who came, if it wasn't for you, this day wouldnt be the success that it was.
  7. Except the Attessa detects the front wheels aren't spinning and sends power to the front wheels to make them spin...
  8. Damnnit... f**king heavy POS... Lemme guess... Nissan has a mile of extra bracing somewhere because of the sunroof... That and all the shit still inside it... LOL
  9. Nah, rain or no rain, you've still got no traction
  10. That's what we traded them to a dealer at. With 200K on the clock of all of them.
  11. Isn't Noddy's 33 with a RB25 and 5 Speed at 1240 atm or something? LS1 + Getrag has been weighed and proven to be lighter than an RB20 + 5 Speed... 25 and 5 speed is heavier again... ANd wait... Just re read that... You've weighed that POS of mine at 1360 with no engine no box, or with engine and box? If it's with out... Then that sunroof Must be making that f**king thing weigh a shitload more!!! Edit: Will discuss with you on Saturday...
  12. Yup. We traded 3 2003 models for 2K about 6 months ago. They're available, just keep looking
  13. This thread is relevant to my interests... NOw to just read a couple more regs on Sports Sedans... but I reckon I'll have to add weight to my car once I'm finished with it...
  14. Canteen will be open on the day. There is no timing provided for this day (You may bring your own track timer) SAU:NSW Will have a couple of experienced guys who will be able to give a bit of tuition.
  15. To give you an idea on the Jazz, leaving Wollongong, up Mt Ousley, Across Picton, down the Hume to Canberra, and return, takes one take of fuel and averages 6.3L per 100KM ringing its little tit off at around 110KM/H the whole way (Not letting it cruise up the hills and lose speed... Giving it the shuffle back and getting up it) It takes me around 35 - 38 Litres for that trip. Around town (I live in Wollongong CBD, so often drive on the cold fuel map for most of my trips) I see 7 - 7.5L per 100KM, and that's having a fair bit of fun in it (Revving out to 5500RPM each gear basically with a fair bit of throttle) I HAVE had my old Jazz as low as 5.3L /100KM, but that was keeping it sitting on 80KM/H on the freeways etc. When I lived in Shell Cove, I regularly saw 6.0L flat per 100KM because to and from work was all smack on 80KM/H.
  16. Jazz > Echo.
  17. +1 to the Honda Jazz.
  18. I'll get Shell to check for you Adam. I'll email everyone by Wednesday with a confirmation of who I've got payments for etc.
  19. BUMPED! The route has been modified slightly from the above, as mentioned above part of it went to dirt. This is still on, let us know if you're coming.
  20. I *might* have an AFM floating around, I'll try get out to my Dad's house and have a look and see if I do still have it.
  21. Hey Jarrad, I remember getting the form, and noting you, I can't remember if I've confirmed payment, but will be all good. Cee, there are still spots. Eric, I also got your work mates form.
  22. Where is your O2 sensor, and where was the Dyno one? You will get a different reading between reading in the dump Pipe, VS after the Cat
  23. It's in the 80 zone.
  24. Hi Tim, You should have gotten an email back from me saying it was. I remember seeing your name and payment.
  25. Shit no Pat! 5:30PM is knock off time! 8:30 - 5:30 Mon - Fri... The same grind week in week out!
