  1. Bloody expensive to service as thy require a special transmission oil specifically engineered for Nissan for that particular CVT. I have heard ~$1300 for a trans service (correct me if I am wrong guys). Also, if it breaks, good luck finding someone in Australia to fix it. They are truly a fantastic transmission though.... smooth as silk. As Zei said, definitely do a search BEFORE making a decision so you have more of an idea of the positive's and negative's
  2. Well that settles it then! Where were you 40 pages ago, Ben?
  3. 6-speed manual.... Those pics look to be from the PM35 Axis S which is a 3.5L RWD Stagea (2006-2007) going by the seats. It is also used in the Z33 350z and the V35 Skyline.... unfortunately that 6-speed is for RWD only. EDIT: just noticed the floor mats
  4. huh? How so? Very easy to service. Fixing? Dunno, only one that really needed fixing that I know of was Scott's.... and he went for a full rebuild. Are you confusing the V35/Z33/M35 5-speed tiptronic with the V35 CVT 8-speed?
  5. If it helps with your decision, I can tell you that after a lot of chasing, emailing and phone calls that the Kids Heart R35 conversion for M35 Stagea shown at the Nagoya show is a one off and no kit is available.... as yet They used the actual front end of an R35 (no FRP) and molded their own skirts/rear. Unfortunately it is only intended as a show car for advertising purposes only.
  6. Sounds like a wank to me Maybe a tighter controlled over the right foot would net the same result?
  7. Maybe a stupid question but if that is the case, how would they be able to be tuned to different car setups (for those of us who prefer not to use piggybacks)?
  8. HERE Gotta love that Dolphin price tag, eh?
  9. Unfortunately I have not yet had the time, Rianto. Will be getting around to it as soon as I can and will let you know
  10. You don't have one on your car Andrew? I thought yours went on first...
  11. Mines, Nismo & Impul all do stand alone ECU's for vq25det. I like the Nismo one personally, mainly due to the fact that SNOW is removed and an "economy" map is initiated when you flick the "snow" switch.... pretty cool I think... although I do believe that SAS were looking at the possibility of dual maps using a similar technique. If you really want one of the Jap ECU's, the easiest way would be to contact RHDJapan and request that it gets listed. Part numbers and as much detail as possible make this easier AND you get a (small) discount for getting the item listed
  12. Pretty sure there are 2.5 M35's getting around with these dump pipes (One is in the process of installing a highflow and this dump, hence the .5) Have heard good things... but you will need to cut the support of your OEM dump and weld it onto this new one. I do prefer the one that is being tested on my car though Larger mouth and neck, straight taper to increase velocity and into a 3" flange..... here is a snap shot if you were curious.
  13. So are you turning right or going straight? Tell me about it. Not only did I have a commodore pull right up to the rear of my car just as I had changed into reverse to back into a park at a shopping centre (yes, I was indicating), effectively blocking my path, but the Patrol in the park opposite me (nose first park - should be made banned) decided that because nobody was moving on his right that he would reverse out of his park! The horn on the Stag has never had such a workout.... and the Patrol stopped less than 1/2 a meter from my driver side window. You want bad drivers? Take a trip down to Mt. Eliza in Vic. Expensive cars with owners that have absolutely no awareness nor caring for anyone or anything around them. .... must.... control... frustration....
  14. Probably a silly question, but would using a standard airbox & panel filter with changed piping to the turbo be fine? All I hear are guys being told that changes to the airbox or popping a pod on is not legal if a FMIC is installed.... but what about airbox to turbo piping that still uses the stock AFM?
  15. Are the skirts from a coupe or sedan?
  16. Give it a minimum of 3 weeks
  17. Sounds like an.. err... interesting game. Hey, whatever floats your boat I guess....
  18. haha, I was just pointing out that Jetwreck is in Sydney. eManage was tuned by etuner who has done a very nice job of it. There is an ECU re-flash in the works which should be good to go quite soon I believe but no, no other tuned M35's at the moment I am afraid.
  19. Yes. 1x Haltech Interceptor (Jetwreck) which is NO GOOD for the vq25det and 1x eManage Ultimate (Scotty nm35) which IS good for the vq25det You can also go with an HKS FCON as it has a harness for the vq25det.... just have to find a tuner
  20. hmmm... now where have I seen that Stagea before? Any idea's Scott?
  21. ..... what do you mean "or"?
  22. A good sales person should know their product
  23. lol... I knew I forgot something from my list above.... but maybe I should try to play some Aussie CD's on the DVD ROM.... if the salesman says they work, well....
  24. Active Yaw control? I think he is talking about the ATTESSA... All factory options are standard? How the hell does that work? Aren't they options? 350z style interior? umm... suuuuuure "NEON" engine? ffs, the word NEO is written on the damn engine cover! Also love the way he slams the rear door.... doesn't he realise that it has a self shutting mechanism? Bloody hell.... you would think that someone who sells a type of car would get their facts straight.
