  1. You could always look into the Ks Rom remap for a cheap(ish) removal of the throttle issue (and increase of the rev limit ) Looking for a spare ECU to use in the meantime? I think that maybe Bis-e-Bee has one.....
  2. I have the PWR 6cyl trans cooler on my M35. The gear changes are a bit snappier compared to without it, particularly in the Summer. I have mine mounted just behind my grill.... constant airflow and seems to work well.
  3. No fight picked You have to remember that once the thermostat has opened, the coolant is constantly taking the heat from the engine to the radiator where it is cooled and back into the engine again. (thus the need for a good radiator and engine fan to drag air through when stationary) The thermostat only dictates at what temp that process begins, it is up to the quality of the coolant and the cooling efficiency of the engine to maintain that temp.
  4. erm, to keep the engine cooler. The Nismo stuff is designed as bolt on for track days, so in that instace doing whatever you can to keep the engine temp lower is a priority.
  5. Yeah guys, I got it, thanks.... just haven't been online to look at them for a bit
  6. Thanks for the thought TJ.... we are on top of it
  7. Yep. One and the same.
  8. Yes, but you will not find an off-the-shelf unit with an in-tank cooler. Your best bet would be to rip it out and get a custom unit made up using the original as a template and have the OE in-tank cooler ripped out and installed in the custom unit if you do. While it is being made up, may I also suggest getting Nismo thermostat from RHDJapan (Good price & fast delivery). Mine died after the week of 40degree days we had in Melbourne last year. Burst the top tank, bottom tank and also split some of the core.... I guess if you are gonna go, might as well make it spectacular! M35's struggle to stay cool at the best of times, so a larger, more efficient cooling radiator can only help. I strongly disagree! The standard radiator is well suited to the cooler Japanese climate, but it has a limited life over time in Australian Summers IMO 1700kg, AWD turbo wagon in 30-40degrees day in, day out for a solid 2 months? Yeah, I'm sure a small 15mm core radiator will do the trick in there. Unfortunately I would not be surprised to hear of a couple of M35's overheating this summer... as mine and Jetwreck's did early last year. Particularly those that have over 100,000kms on the clock.
  9. Good to hear Rianto.... now just waiting for the laser cleaning instructions.... *ahem* Andy?
  10. hmm... 900nm at 4100rpm?
  11. 2 actually. Both have used Bilstein shocks, one with Bilstein and one with Eibach springs. Pod filter? Really?? Only if you want the induction noise. You will not see/feel any power benefit from a pod over a decent panel filter on a stock M35.
  12. You will love the ARX over a "6". My mum has a Mazda 6 (fully optioned) and she still says how much nicer my RS is. Q's and A's 1. Yes. I have a PA11-NIS in mine, but this has been superseeded by the PA15-NIS. Not difficult to install yourself, just a bit time consuming. Install guide is HERE 2. Definitely not. Andy65b has the english conversion up and running. Look here for screen shots 3. Ok, but nothing special.... once you adjust to the delay. 4. Turbo back exhaust. Fisher mk 2 or 3 intake.
  13. Excellent! Thanks for the quick instructions Chris. Will make things a little quicker (have had the glovebox out before only for iPod install and to change the a/c filter... went no further than that).
  14. You don't have to drive slowly to get good economy mate.... just efficiently although I guess it would be easier if you had that operation to remove the cinder block from your right foot
  15. So have you noticed a difference Nick? Or are you still learning how to drive it economically?
  16. Cool, thanks Andy. Look forward to tearing the glovebox out (again) and possibly part of the dash.... no, not really. Will post up pics on how to rip out the Navi ROM if I get time on the weekend (I can't find it with a quick look in the G35 manual).... ..... unless Chris wants to post some quick instructions
  17. Sounds painful! Seriously though... I completely understand what you mean.
  18. Once the light comes on, I get about 10kms before the "distance to empty" estimate disappears and shows the **'s.... so I would guess around the 68-70L mark.
  19. The Airbox has two plastic knobs on the bottom that sit in rubber support. Just pull the airbox straight up, it will pop straight out
  20. mmmm... big muffins.... Should be cool
  21. What? No Dandenong or Crimebourne... ahem, Cranbourne?
  22. Just throwing this out there.... but pic taken last night. All km's travelled from Friday night and included a fair bit of freeway work but also some suburban driving. Please check the distance travelled on the ODO with the distance 'till empty on the leaf screen (hard to see I know, my apologies). Fisher suction pipe + runner spacer FTW! For those with bad eye sight Travelled = 372kms Est distance to empty = 425kms
  23. At least I would have been if my damn Navi ROM had have co-operated... I do believe that "pv35GT8" is very happy with his though. Thanks for your time though, Rianto. Will talk again when I have ripped my Navi out and given it a damn good clean and check over...
