i'm not a fan of the HKS dumps or the many copies of them floating around. they have a tiny primary and a tiny wastegate pipe, and they rejoing after only a short distance anyway, and they are often poorly finished.

well, it has to be said the worldwide market for RB25 PFC would be pretty small really. I mean, when they were available for under $1K they didn't exactly seem to be flying off shelves. once they became un-available suddenly everyone wanted one, but i bet if they did become available again lots of people saying "yeah I'd buy one" will go quiet again. RB25 GTSTs were only sold in japan. sure lots of been exported to aus and nz etc. but don't forget it's only compatible with manual RB25s which rules out a lot. then rule out all those who want to remain standard, then rule out all those who already have a PFC or other aftermarket ecu, then you aren't left with much of a customer base from which to draw.

I would love to be proven wrong. PFCs are a great bolt in option and I currently have them in all 3 of my cars (not in my truck, sadly they don't make one for 4.2l diesel nissans!). and if I ever (god forbid, hehe) owned a car with an RB25 in it I would love to have the option of buying a PFC for it. BUT from what people at apexera have told me they wont be producing them again. the processors they used to make them are out of production. you never know, things may change but they could not forsee them ever going back into production.

Intercooler Core....from Black To Chrome/silver

oh mama. fark you car always looks nice. ya carnt. -
haha, it's ok mate. there will be one more update though. before it goes to it's new home I will be getting it given a more agressive tune, and some boost, and some cam gear adjustment. I will be pissed if it doesn't break 300rwkw and silently dissapointed if it doesn't break 325rwkw. I will be happy with anything over 325rwkw. should do it easy on around 20pound. and hopefully around 290 or so on 1 bar for low boost setting. my guess is it will be around 330-340rwkw at 20psi and around 300 at 14psi. I would attempt a backflip if it gets to 350rwkw.... everyone should be handy to witness that one...

haha, you old cynic you! for the record I didn't sell the car through the thread, or even through the forum at all. The guy who bought it is now even a member here that I know of. It was not meant to be an ad. just some people on here who knew about the car encouraged me to post something up about it as it's a little bit different and I held off until the car was finished. and then when it was finished that week my new crate motor arrived for the other GTR, so it was almost time to let this one go..... etc etc you know how it goes.

that's a bit rude to the rest of the staff there mate. i have no problem with anyone that works there so I don't know why you wouldn't use anyone other than doug? sure doug is great and has been doing alingments for probably longer than i've been alive but who do you think is training all their other staff???? I don't know how many times you've been there but I must have used them at least a dozen times over the years and never had bad job done by any of their staff. to imply that doug is the only guy who knows what he's doing is a bit strong considering guys like paul joyner are some of the most experienced people in aus for suspension set-up. just call them up, make an apointment and drop the car off, whoever works on it will be sure to do what you ask. george, you will love the ikeya front lower control arms. they are awesome. the front castor rods are literally more than double the thickness of any factory or aftermarket rod I have seen. they are good value too at around the $700 dollar mark considerng you get lower arm, roll centre adjuster and castor rod for that.
-
i don't know about east coast but heasmans have plenty of experience with GTRs and every other type of car. which parts exactly did you get? if you have all the arms that means front lower control arms , front upper control arms , rear lower control arms but I didn't think ikeya make 34 GTR rear upper control arms?

it's okaaaay. except for the fuel control as it's ramping up onto boost. as it ramps up to near full boost the fuel is not keeping up and it hits the 14:1 AFR as boost ramps up to 16psi before dipping down to ~12.5:1 which is ok. but the boost ramping area is always tricky and is usually where you get detonation. as the power and boost pressure start to rapidly increase the tune needs to be adjusting fuel and timing in a hurry to cope. if it were me I would probably want that little area of the tune looked at a bit further.

sorry mate... wait a minute! by crikey I've got it. pull up to him under brakes then hit his 'push to pass' button mid-corner. effectively making it a 'push to spin off' button instead. Ross Brawn has nothing on my strategy wise...

holy moly! love the seat. not so crazy about the $7K price tag though... it would want a heater and vibrating massage function for that dough. maybe a built in beer holder too (for those longer races).

that is awesome. best thing bernie has ever said, and should fire hamilton up nicely.... The F1 CEO also rates Robert Kubica, the Canadian Grand Prix winner and new championship leader, very highly. "If you saw him in a McLaren or a Ferrari, I think I'd put my money on him blowing away Hamilton," Ecclestone said.
-
good on you troy, glad to see you come over to the kubie zone. you have to give the guy credit. I mean he comes from a country where 'top level motorsport' means goat racing around the local vodka distillery. how on earth he made his way to F1 is one hell of a miricale. the boy can drive.

stretch is your worst nightmare. he's called stretch cause his arms are 6ft long like the rubber man. he has been known to pull alongside you on the straight and use his super long freak arms to reach into your cockpit and turn your engine off or give you a purple nurple (very painful at 200km/h). it just depends on what kind of mood he's in as to which punishment you get. look out I say.

evidence? excuse me? take my advice or leave it mate. I'm a bit surprised you think I'm making it up. I'm purely trying to save people from going through the pain of ordering a product, paying for the product, then waiting months for it only to eventually have to get a refund when it's not forthcoming. if you think I'm wrong email them now and ask them how many RB25 PFCs they have in stock (my guess is zero). on the 21st of march they said they would have stock within 4 weeks so they should surely have them by now right? my opinion stems purely from information direct from apexera japan (which manufacture PFCs, unlike apexi usa which just re-sell them). I had tried to order some earlier this year and was told (like many others) that they are out of stock, and out of production.

mate, I am honoured just to be considered amongst such esteemed company, and to further add to my CV (and troys I guess too) we have both put in some stellar performances at the sydney city RSL, and I have represented my country several times with serious drinking in japan. fingers crossed I get the call up.

usually on the firewall, up in the corner on the drivers side. little black plastic box about the size of a matchbook. it will have a little rubber vacuum hose running to it, 1 set of wires running out too.
