yeah true. it certainly makes for lots of happy people, because everyone I know loves to hate skaifey. I love the bloke. I think it's because he was the shit when I was a teenager, he was winning races in formula cars, and touring cars (31s and then 32s) and then when he got going at HRT he was just about untouchable for 5 years or so, more even. and I always admired his professional approach to racing and his work ethic. back in the 80s and 90s probably half the drivers in top level aussie motorsport would hop out of the car and proceed to crack a tinnie, suck down a meat pie and top if off with a couple of smokes, where as skaife was always 100% professional, focussed on racing (they are all like that these days though). and he knew how to give TV and sponsors value for money.

Who Do You Complain To When The Police Suck?
Beer Baron replied to DRD-00F's topic in New South Wales
yeah it's $30 for the re-issue usually, though one would hope hey will waive that fee in your case. perhaps give up on dr doof all together and go with 455 MAN, you can be cosmo kramer...... the ass man! -
what is wrong with skaifey these days? he just seems to be all over the shop. I would hate to see him stop driving, but I would like to have him on as a commentator. so it wouldn't be a total loss if he quit driving at took a job at channel 7. poor skaifey.

Who Do You Complain To When The Police Suck?
Beer Baron replied to DRD-00F's topic in New South Wales
mate, you could always just go into the RTA, explain that your plates have been misplaced by the police and they will issue you plates to use in the meantime. sure they wont say dr doof on them but they will either find your ones or re-issue the same ones again. but at least in the meantime you can drive around with the only inconvenience being people wont know you are dr doof. they will think you are AE 78 RV instead. -
Can The Stock Engine Rev Past 7,000 Rpm Safely
Beer Baron replied to bustafat's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
personally if it were my 25 I would not be revving it past 6500, but it's your engine so up to you. sure it will survive 7000 a few times, hell it could survive 8,000 a few times... but for how long? -
yes it's illegal to cut a hole in the bonnet, it's illegal to have something sticking up through the bonnet and it's even illegal to have something like that right up close, or even hard against the bonet. there is supposed to be empty space between bonnet and anything hard so that when you drill a pedestrian at 50kmh and they land on your bonnet, the bonnet can crumple before it hits anything hard. could be tough to get around these things.

the interior is certainly...ummmm... different. but the exterior styling certainly is an acquired taste.... to say the least. but apart from the dubious styling it would be a cool car.

Ats Carbon Clutch Problems
Beer Baron replied to elrodeo666's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
yep, I knew you would love the nismo super coppermix twin. they are a world apart from the old nismo clutches. they are pricey but I think worth every yen. enjoy. -
255/40/17's On 17x9 +35 R32 Gts-t
Beer Baron replied to falcon's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I think you'll struggle to get 255s in there especially 255 competition tyres. stick with the 235s they are a decent amount of tyre for a lightly tuned GTST. -
mm the lamb sounds good. I haven't been much up north I will have to try that next time for sure. I just remembered another favourite. tempura. love it.

happy birthday mate for whenever it was. you are only as old as the car you're thrashing... so in your case I guess that makes you about 5?

you quite possibly have a find coming in the mail. yes they can fine you, and yes they can send it to you in the mail, and if you were breaking the rules it's quite possible they will send you one. it sucks but that's just the way it is. obey the rules, and if not accept that you can and will get fined if they catch you.

fark me, poland is rocking right now. this is the biggest thing to hit warsaw since we gave women the power to vote way back in 2006...

oh dude, I hope that's on the fail list. wagamama is about as far from real, good japanese food as you can get. I mean, they sell duck gyoza FFS!!! duck gyoza i tells ya. oh, that's another for my 'likes' list. gyoza. very nice. hard to get good ones in aus though. edit: just saw the second post, I need to take you to a real japanese restaurant. the crap they sell at wagamana is not real gyoza. it's a half baked 'fusion' restraurant chain started by english wankers who know FA about good japanese food. real gyoza will blow you away after the rubbish they sell.

agreed. he needs to remember the simple rule of racing strategy. as a wise formula one pirate once told me: if one stopping ye be, then wait patiently and see if it's a two stop ye done, then sail up the inside at turn 1.

on the negative side i'm not a big fan of some of the dried fish snacks, I can't remember the name but they are dirty. also going on from my comment above I'm not a fan of the combini oden. unless you are drunk..... in that case all bets are off and you can load up that little plastic cup with some cognac, some vermicelli, some tamago and maybe some chicken if they have it, and don't forget to spoon in lots of the fetid broth it's been sitting in since last week. oh, I do like the pork katsu sandwhiches. you can get the cheap ones at train stations or if you are feeling fancy go for the 2,000yen version from the nearest mitsukoshi which comes in a nice gift wrapped wooden box. lol, japan, the only country in the world where you can get a $20 gift wrapped sandwhich. they go down well with a big can of beer on those long train rides... speaking of mitsukoshi in lots of the department stores they have nice biscuit like snacks, I like the ones with a kind of cream in the middle and sultanas. oh, and japanese strawberries are top shelf too. japanese rice snacks are the bomb too, and really hard to get good ones in aus. you can get some imitations but they are really bland and all taste the same. as you can see I love japanese food, and I'll try anything, anytime.

lol, some serious sarcasm meter failure in this thread. it's obvious the guy is japanese. they are just having a crack at the japanese attitude that outsiders=root of all problems. surprisingly enough, despite what many japanese people may think, they are just as capabable of theft, or assault, on in this case wild, irrational murder. still very sad that radmon acts of violence like this occur anywhere in the world. there are some poor, sick weak minded individuals out there.

I think the izakaya thing is like a way to slug people who just go there to drink and don't order food. so they bring you the pickles and charge a 'service charge'. they want people to order food and drinks but I guess plenty of people just go there to get hammered as the drinks are often cheaper than bars. since they aren't making that much from the cheap drinks they charge you the service charge since you are taking up space that someone could be sitting in and ordering food instead of glass after glass of lime chu hi. think of it as rent. the fact they give you pickles is just the japanese way to cover up this tax and give you something in return. I love so many japanese foods and have lots of favourites. karage (chicked of course, but fugu karage is good too! albeit quite rare) pork katsu karee love ramen too (shio ramen, negi ramen, chashu ramen, miso ramen they are all good), need to get the tamago in there too, it's not complete without it. love shabu-shabu, suki yaki is good too oh, one of my top favourites, yaki niku. i've had some awesome yaki niku over the years and it beats out shabu shabu in my eyes okonomiyaki (love it. definately favour hiroshima style over osaka style.) takoyaki, so nice when it's hot and fresh Oden is good for something different (and I'm not talking about the stuff you get at 7-11 when you are pissed, that doesn't count! all it does is stink up the joint) I love sushi, and it's one thing that you can get in sydney just as good as in japan I love yakitori and most of the small snack type dishes you buy at an izakaya I also love japanese snacks, otsumami. love the little banana shaped things that come with peanuts and are just a little spicy. wasabi flavour chips are good too, and soy snacks I know it's not really japanese food as such, but I love MOS Burger. MOS cheese burger, and the regular Chese burger are great. I even like their hotdogs! Terriyaki burger at maccas and ebi-filet o are nice too if you are smashed that's all I could think of off the top of my head. I'm sure there is more! I agree japanese sweets are vastly different from our tastes.

Can I Put Rb26 Into Gts4 Shell?
Beer Baron replied to 23gtr32's topic in General Automotive Discussion
gts4 is closer to 4.4 (4.375:1 to be precise) you will need to install your GTR rear diff too. or you can keep your rear GTS4 diff (i wouldn't, they are rubbish) and take the crown wheel and pinion out of the GTS4 engine and put that into your 26. or a third option is to take the crown wheel and pinion off both the front and rear GTS4 diffs and isntall the rear one onto your GTR diff and the front into your 26. then you have the GTS4 ratios but with the GTR rear diff (front diffs are the same apart from the ratio so no real change there). -
How To Install Air Fuel Gauge (r32 Gtr)
Beer Baron replied to tin-pain's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
it most likely wont work, and even if it does they are useless anyway. it will not tell you anything meaningful. My advice is sell it off and replace it with a useful gauge, like oil pressure, or exhaust gas temp etc. -
I think kimi summed it up very well. and showed a very mature approach. "There's not much I can say," was Raikkonen's reaction. "My race was ruined by Hamilton's mistake. Obviously, anyone can make mistakes, as I did two weeks ago in Monaco, but it's one thing to make a mistake at two hundred (miles) per hour but another to hit a car stopped at a red light. I am not angry because that doesn't achieve anything and does not change my result! I am unhappy, because I had a great chance of winning."

lols. trying to be cautious. not trying hard enough in my book. haha that is laughable. of course nothing is ever louise's fault so I guess it should come as no surprise. lol, trying to be cautious indeed. both kimi and the bmw driver (kubie I think) were able to react with even less notice than louise and stop, he had more time to react as the light was already red as he approached, and there were cars sitting there at a dead stop. he just ploughed on in. as for penalty, it's a tough call. on the one hand I'm not a big fan of the guy. also his carelessness directly took out one of the main WDC contenders so since kimi got penalised by having his race ruined by some noob, maybe the noob should cop a penalty. on the other hand, I don't think anyone would suggest he did it intentionally (though if it were schuey everyone would crying that he did it on purpose). still it was a very careless mistake and should have been so easily avoided.

what do you mean "check"? what are you checking it for? just to see if it's valid? to see what trim/variant/colour it is? to see if it's stolen? to see if it has finance owing? no one here can really check any of those things. if you want to see if it's valid contact your registering authority. if you want to get the model info contact toyota. if you want to find out if it's stolen or has finance owing then do a REVS check.
