  3. do you know that in over 4 years on SAU I have only ever had one or two 'arguments' with people, and they were car related and only got heated after someone insulted me (not the other way 'round)? all the tension and bullshit is pretty immature and it seems the more people post about off topic stuff, the more this happens.
  4. yeah it doesn't bother me too much. the whore thread was a place for people to chat, and was always pretty friendly. it hasn't been quite so friendly of late. and having regional whore threads I think just made it worse. just think of all the bandwidth we'll save now that we don't have a thread with 10s of thousands of pages in NSW.
  5. well maybe starting a thread to complain bitching was a bad idea? as now it's been acted upon, and no doubt the closure of these threads (either temporary or not) will sove the problem.
  6. 225/50/16 112.6 sidewall (406mm wheel + 225mm = 631 diamter) 255/40/17 is 102mm (so total diameter would be 17 inch 432mm + 204mm = 636 diamter) 245/40/17 has a sidewall of 98mm (432+196 = 628) 245/45/17 has a sidewall of 110 (432+220=652) so the closest to stock diameter is 245/40. but to be honest speedo accuracy has never bothered me a bit. the speedo is only accurate to about 10% to begin with anyway. and no, standard 33 GTR size is 235/45/17 not 245.
  7. i can tell you for certain if you are using 700cc injectors then the standard solid lines will not be posing a restriction for you.
  8. I am in love with Glen Seton at the moment. after seeing him drive a sports sedan at Oran Park GP last week, and lapping in the 1:03s!! (quicker than V8SC) I somehow think I am far too harsh on all these guys. Plus I have his FPR V8 seat in my car and he signed it for me

  10. hey daniel, yep they are the same feel wise and adjustment wise as 33 GTR seats. Just a different fabric. corrine, it's a tempting offer... but you've been beaten by someone offering real money. should be picking up this weekend.

  14. i don't agree with that. he made a mistake. usually a mistake comes with a time penalty, or a loss of track position. by cleverly shortcutting half the circuit he copped neither slow lap time, or a loss of position, when in fact he should have incurred both. with that in mind he should have been: a: ordered to let murphy pass him or b: get drive through penalty

  16. well in that 50 is only 3.3 times 15 and 40 is 4 times 10 the 15W50 is 'better', in that it will most likely have less friction modifiers used in it. BUT it's only one aspect of the oil question. best thing is to pick an oil which best suits your car, and usage.
  17. he didn't gain position BUT he did gain advantage and that should be not on. (ie had he rejoined the track without skipping half a lap he would have been passed by at least 1 car, probably more like 4 cars).
  18. I would go a 225 on the front and 235 rear. or if you want you can go 235 front and 245/255 (depends on availability). Amongst my cars I've had: 235 all round on 9inch rims (GTR) 245 all round on 9 inch rims (GTR) 255 all round on 9 inch rims (GTR) 235 all round on 9inch rims (GTST) 225 front (i think, they may be 235) on 8 inch rims and 255 rear on 9 inch rims (soarer). the 255s are ok on the 9, but I reckon 235 or 245 will be better (a lot depends on tyre brand though).
  19. yeah, the old half track shortcut seemed to work well for kelly. murphy was pissed for good reason, i mean usually when you are up someones clacker, and they fall off the track, you gain a place, instead all of a sudden kelly pops up FURTHER ahead of murphy than he was before. not cool. skaife had a nasty weekend. I feel sorry for the bloke. as for BJ retiring. meh... my friend has a race suit of Brad's. It was made for brad in ozemail colours when he was driving the ozemail falcon, but he didn't fit it properly or something, so my mate bought it cheap, brand new. good thing it fitted him!
  20. i wouldn't put those in my lawn mower let alone and RB26... high flowed standard injectors I've seen have never given long lasting, consistent performance. I've seen ones that started leaking. ones that flowed less than claimed and ones that just failed. not a bargain at all imo.
  21. well I've never had missing parts but I did once open an Apexi power intake box and found a set of vernier calipers inside!! lol, maybe that's why they went broke. too many tools being dropped in retail packaging.

  23. dave, sevs and raws are both operating. RAWS (registered automotive workshop scheme) is what you need to go through to become a raw. a raw can then comply cars under SEVS (specialist, enthusiast vehicle scheme). so the two scheme's go hand in hand. lol, scheme is the right word...
  24. yeah ronin is right, kei office is Keiichi's brand. they are fairly average, ok, but nothing special. the old ones are just run of the mill twin tube jap shocks. apparently the new ones are quite good though.
