Adjustable Upper Arms - Problem R32 Gtr
Beer Baron replied to Ronin 09's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
the arms are definately installed properly, and it looks like it's the upright hitting the gaurd not the arms. the only way out here is run more neg. so hardnen up boyo and run more neg. -
hamilton doesn't do it for me at all. yes he is very fast. yes he is no doubt the most promising young driver in F1, but i don't know what it is, but i just don't care....
-
yes I can't believe what RBR did to webber. he was looking good for a finish between 3rd and 6th but making him pit right after one safety car and before another completely sunk him.

how fast is that! love it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vs3F4zFp5c...ted&search=

Greatest F1 Driver Of All Time?
Beer Baron replied to Kozeyekan's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
schuey is no doubt the best. he one through periods with TC, without TC, with aids, without aids. and he was a master of wet conditions and changeable conditions. yes he has made some suspect moves, and suspect decisions but he is the greatest, no doubt. -
that one is no good. old model and is not full HD. and it's a projection TV which are pretty poor, hence the cheap price. it's a cheap TV basically. like the new version of rear projection which i'm sure you know are far from optimal. what you want is a 40inch sony x-series. should be able to score one for around $3600 if you shop around and bargain a bit. retail i think is around $4400, but most places currently have them at $4000. go to JB and tell them $3600 is all you have and you should be sweet.

An Idea On How To Communicate With Each Other
Beer Baron replied to LatinR33's topic in New South Wales
the forum and the club are 2 seperate things. the forum is just the clubs main method of comunication. the club organises events for it's financial members. it is also cams affiliated which means if you are a financial member you can hold a cams licence. but hey, if you don't want to be in it, that's ok. but if you think there is a problem with the forum, don't take it out on the club. -
yeah wank factor is pretty accurate description of purpose.
-
yeah: "where's my invite..."
-
yeah I know. you're right, it's not all beer and skittles. even at some drift events I've been to I've seen people holding people up just tootling around like they were on a sunday drive, and it's even harder to pass someone on a drift course if they are not playing ball. but I still reckon it's an improvement on aus. and at least they are far more lax with all the freaking red tape.
-
if you want to use it in car on track then stick with mini-dv. HD cams and DVD cams are no good for in car use.
-
that is exactly what I said to marcus. i have been using os tripple in my GTR. basically I just adjusted the rod so the pick-up is not too far off the floor, then I can easily keep my heel on the floor and only lift it once the clutch is completely engaged. makes it much easier to feel the friction point.
-
i heard he was up against some stiff competition... lol. congratulations on gaining 100% of the vote!! I'm sure you will make a fine presidente.

i have the perfect solution. i'm going to move to japan. they have a shed load more tracks. better surfaces. better facilites. cars are plentiful, track days are plentiful. the drivers at these days respect each other and wont hold you up for 3/4 of a lap driving down the middle, then stand on the loud pedal down the straight leaving you with no option other than a banzai move, or another ruined lap. as usual stupid australian farken law making regulation making weeners take the fun out of anything and everything they can. I want a country with far fewer laws and more leinient enforcement of them.

yes, well pending trailer and truck to tow it with i'm in. will need to reschedule a few things. but i'll give it a shot.
-
lols. a brake master stopper doesn't stop brake fluid moving around. it stops your firewall flexing when you are hard on the brake pedal.
-
yeah it's true. I just meant a year or two ago pretty much everything could be had cheaper on ebay. now it seems it's worth hassling retail stores as you can sometimes beat the ebay prices.
-
yes, going nth on RT16 you can see it from the road, but only if you are looking out for it. if you were coming from funabashi then you'd miss it for sure as it would be conceiled behind the service station. the easiest way to get to TS if you haven't been before and don't have a car is get mono-rail from chiba station and get off at sports centre monorail station, then get a cab heading north and keep an eye out for it so you can tell the cabbie when to stop. I have tried to get a bus out that way before but it was a bit of a mission and didn't work out so well. taxi will still be $20 or $30.

yeah, good point! I'm the only pu55y in nsw it seems that shifts between 7000 and 7500, but it may also explain why i'm the only one not suffering from SBS and have driven the car on track for a couple of years now. I will definately be trying to sort my shit out for PI in October. Need to get on a trailer as it's no fun driving a GTR 2000kms for a track day. and even less fun if I break it down there
-
hey it can't hurt and the price was right. edit: thanks for the calculation.

i change my pads when they have about 2 or 3mm of friction material left. after that they loose their effectiveness. as for kms, I don't know, I've never worn a set out. I always change them. but I'd say probably much, much less that 5000kms.

Installing Air Fuel Ratio Gauge
Beer Baron replied to mr_crust's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
no offence mate, but how the hell do you tune a fuel pressure gauge with a narrow band o2 sensor and gauge? a fuel pressure gauge sets fuel pressure and hence itself is set-up with a fuel pressure gauge (funny that). as for tuning your safc with it. lol. i'd like to see that. -
holy shit. I'm actually right for once! I knew i could get approx 200 in 4th, and yeah i'm changing around the 7000 mark or so. so mr djr81, can you tell me what speeds I will have when I swtich from the current 4.1 diff gears to the 4.375 i'm going to put in? basically at 7000, I've always thought. 60 in first, 100 in second, 160 in third, 200 in 4th and 260 in 5th. seems i was a bit off in 5th, but the rest are pretty close. holy shit. I just realised if you rev 5th to 8000 you get 320km/h... nice.
-
you reckon? I reckon I'm getting about 200 at 7000rpm. is there really another 40km/h in 1000rpm? cause if I can get 240 in 4th I don't think I'll ever need 5th with my lowly kw...

Installing Air Fuel Ratio Gauge
Beer Baron replied to mr_crust's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
actually a monster tacho has more purpose than this afr gauge. on drag cars etc you need a very resposive tacho and shift light, and peak hold is needed too. and oil pressure gauge is FAR more usefull than either of the above. the factory gauge is purposely built to be ridiculously slow (so as not to alarm drivers) and it's accuracy is also questionable. an aftermarket one offers faster response, accurate readings and memory function all of which could save your engine. the only thing a narrow band AFR gauge will save you is carrying around the hundred bucks you would have had, had you not bought a useless gauge...
