  1. i have to be honest I reckon mounting one anywhere other than in either the passenger side duct, or the drivers side duct is a bit of a waste. mounting it in front of the radiator just robs some airflow to the radiator. and then you have intercooler, air con core, oil cooler and radiator all in a row. not good.
  2. does anyone know the name of the dude that takes photos? i know he was there, but I didn't get a chance to see him at the end of the day. I hope he has some rippers for me.
  3. yeah almost exactly a year ago i painted the whole car.
  4. and at least now I'll get some respect from fatz. he rocked up just to call me a pu55y. looks like i took it to heart. hey, all the greats have binned it at some point...
  5. nah, what I always say is some real action is better than ya mum.
  6. yeah it could have been much worse. could have been much better too actually, if my exhaust hadn't melted my rear bar a bit most of it would buff right out... lol.
  7. lol, yeah. hard on the brakes and praying to jeebuz!
  8. and paul, you are a carnt! I shant forget this 'favour' ya bastard.
  9. ok, for all the blood hungry crash addicts. here is the story. I pushed to hard. I 'kissed' the wall. I smashed about 15 bourbons last night. here is the pic: got dust? dust is everywhere. I have a sticker on the side that says "fortune favours the brave" i think it's time I removed it as I have proven it wrong. I also have one that says trackdays require 2 balls. it should say. making a fool of yourself requires 2 balls. now say lots of nice things about me please as I'm a bit sensitive today.
  10. I can feel the suspense.
  11. lol, top post. hmm I think as usual practice doesn't mean shit. alonso was as slow as a wet week and massa got so bored he started remoulding his cockpit on the straight. how many retirements were there? must have been close to 10. Webber as usual had a problem. He would have been in the money for sure with so many drop outs. and he actually passed 2 cars on the track (plus 2 more that retired) before retiring himself. dissapointing to see kimi out. and it was good to see some real balls out racing for a change. and nice to see no-one yeild into turn 1.
  12. dunno what y'all talking about. I was busy taking flowers to pauls mum yesterday...
  13. a top day out. sorry there were no other SAU guys competing. I was reasonably happy. need to do a fair bit of work on the handling balance as rear end grip was non-existant. I did ok though and finished 11th. top 10 would have been nice. oh, and in my last session I 'brisbied' my car. surely pics to follow.
  14. there is no real benefit to them apart from the flames. fuel cut rev limit is not bad, and your engine does not lean out. the rev limit cuts fuel completely so there is no combustion at all in that cylinder. the only positive the bee-r limiter will give you is some pretty flames and some banging.
  15. well I'm all set for tomorrow. anyone that wants to come out, it's free to watch. I'm in car #295 so come and say hi.
  16. i personally would not go for either the HKS ones or the x-force copies. the both have very small turbine outlets (yes partly made up for with the split wastegate pipe) but I have looked at both and was not impressed with the finish of either. though if I had to chose between them I'd go the HKS ones purely as they are made with a better grade and thickness of material. but i would suggest either the trust dump/fronts or the tomei dumps.
  17. there is even a dude on the forum with that as his avatar for the last 3 years or so.
  18. price? and if they are genuine I think you'll find they are watanabe not 'watanbe'.
  19. lol, yeah I heard that on fast and furious. i will try it out next time. it's crazy over there. the freeways are so nice, yet near the city they are limited at 80kph. having said that I didn't see a single car going under 100 and my friend who was driving his car in convoy with me musn't have dropped below 140 the whole time. he can be forgiven though as his car doesn't have a speedo.
  20. yeah, sorry i missed the bit about "use to have a 33" I looked at his profile and thought he still had one (since it says 33 GTST under "cars"). anyway, I still say either just buy a cheap RB20 GTST (they are crazy cheap now) and work it. or DIY a RB26 into a 33. I just think a 26 in a GTST will spoil some of the good things about the 32 GTST.
  21. i say keep your current 33 GTST and put the ol RB26 into that. or if you really want some 32 action either keep the RB20, or go SR22.
  22. yes this pisses me off. anytime I'm going around a corner side by side with another car (especially if they are on the outside) they love to cut into my lane. i mean WTF? if you can't drive around within a lane that is 1.5 times the width of your car then you shouldn't be driving. I get sick and tired of having to avoid other peoples stupid driving just so I don't even up in an accident. I personally haven't found the drivers in victoria to be that bad. in fact on the whole I'd say they are better. the drivers in japan are even better still. far more courteous, and they don't mind a bit of speed either. last time I was driving back from fuji speedway to tokyo I was pushing on at about 140 or so pretty much the whole way and most cars were doing between 110 and 140... and this was an 80kmh zone! (but it's a big wide freeway, i have nfi why it's marked 80km). and they will always let you in. and when you let someone in your lane you will always receive a little thankyou flash.
  23. i'd take a 20l drum of motul Chrono 300V (10W40) if available for a reasonable price.
  24. i've always thought that RB26 into a 33 GTST is one of the much underated combos out there. can make an easy 260 rwkw (with stock turbos, stoc injectors, stock cams, stock GTR cooler, stock dump pipes etc). and the weight difference between a RB25T and a RB26TT is not soo much. however in a 32 GTST I'd prefer a worked RB20 (something like Roy's). it just seems to suit the car better as they are already quite a light, small car and the 20 can still make lots of power, and pull decent revs. plus in the 32, you need to get a 25 box to go with it. the 20 box wont last behind a decent 26. If you want RWD RB26 I say go 33 GTST, or if you really want a GTST I say stick with the RB20, or do an SR20 swap. SR20 in 32 GTST is pretty sweet.
