  1. sweet, can you ask him 2 questions for me: 1. does it chirp seconds? 2. what type of blow off valve does it have? and does it go: "flutter" or "ahhhhchooo" or "woooopissh" or "dadoodadoo". lol, I await these answers most intently.
  2. they are both bolt on, but the HKS ones come with all the gaskets and new bolts etc. the garretts are just the turbos. and I have heard you will probably need to rotate the comp cover so it's on the right angle. the HKS ones come already set at the right angle.
  3. looks like I'm the lone ranger on this one.
  4. best to give them a good clean and see how they come up. take them off, and flush through with warm water (pour it inside, so the flow is going inside of filter to outside of filter). you don't want to be throwing away filters for nothing if they are still good.
  5. i love you discopotato.
  6. i dunno. I mean they are supposed to be replaceable, but you can probably clean them once or twice first. maybe once every couple of year? of course if they are visibly deteriorated then change them.
  7. trader ratings have a coupe of small probs. when I'm looking at my own, I click on "left for others" i get an error. so I can't see who I have or haven't left ratings for. well not easily. but it's good to have them back, so I ain't complaining!

good thing it only costs $820AUD!
  9. no. minimum bachelors.
  10. sadly there is no such thing as a 'cheap' AP kit even in japan.
  11. all GTRs run twin pods mate. twin airflow meters and twin turbos means twin pods, or stock airbox is the only option.
  12. i have to admit i have no idea what you are talking about? there is no such thing as a degree in driving in australia? there is no "bachelor of drift". he needs a real degree to get a working visa in japan. anyway we have gone a fair way OT now...
  13. yeah they are, but as above, they are very soft compound.
  14. my advice is this: you are only 25. start your degree now.
  15. does anyone have any evidence that the 2530s are better than the 2860-5s (or even the opposite?) I mean they are pretty much the same thing, but lately people have been telling me the garrets are better. Now being a brand wanker it hurts me as I want the HKS ones, but if the garrets really are better then I will have to get them (common sense).
  16. yeah he would be getting passed by dudes in hire cars if they were on the track!
  17. hey Boaty. I watched the coverage the other day (think it was on SBS or fox) and have to say the standard of coverage and comentating has come a long way. I was a bit critical in the past, but it is much, much improved. well done.
  18. THREAD LOCKED TO PRESERVE IT'S HISTORICAL INTEGRITY
  19. that is a complete urban myth. the lowest quality fuel in japan is not 100RON, and not all japanese cars are tuned for 100RON.
  20. thanks for reviving a 3 year old thread noob boy.
  21. silvia isn't a hatch back though... as long as the boot compartment is seperate from the passenger compartment (ie, like an R32 skyline and from memory silvia has a rear metal divider too) you should be fine. the type of line little to do with it, though solid lines or teflon lines are a good idea as they breathe less (less fumes wafting around). I would consult an engineer in your state to be sure.
  22. Hi guys, When I heard Apexi were going under I panicked and ordered some Apexi power intake kits. I wanted some spare pods for my GTRs which run them. I bought 4 of the universal kits. These come with 2 gaskets so if you are using them as new filters for your GTR kit you have both the pod-adapter gasket and the adapter-AFM gasket. But you can also use them on GTST, GTT etc as they can bolt straight to the AFM. The kit also comes with 4 new bolts. it doesn't come with the bracket to secure the pod though. I'm keeping 2 as spares for me, and selling 2 as I don't need that many spares! I'm asking $80 each filter. Pick-up from me in sydney, or post wherever (at your cost).
