  1. other makes are fine as for the S3 question, I'll leave that to someone at UAS, but being a newer car that is based on a FWD platform I'd say it will not be as easy as the skyline.
  2. you can kind of see them in this pic I took. they are black, with a red disk on the backs of them.
  3. hmm, that could be them. i am running the splitfires now (and they have been fine to this point), but I can't help but feel there is a better option. I notice some very hardcore cars built by saurus running what I think are the FET ones, and I noticed when I was at veilside their R32 GTR drag car was running standard coils... I was so shocked I even asked Hiranao to make sure. as at the time it went against my belief that standard = crap. I now seem to lean towards: worn out standard = crap, but brand new nissan coils = the best (but cost is way too much).
  4. very keen to see what you think of the FET ones. they are black right? with a little red bit on the top? i've seen a few saurus cars in japan using them.
  5. yeah when fitting cams for sure it may be needed. but not just bolting on cam gears (which is what the dude was talking about). when I've done it it was: old gears come off. new gears go on. everything else stays the same. drive to dyno, adjust and check results.
  6. lol, thanks boys. well we had: benm morgs shaum steve mansoor all fallen by the wayside, all with 32 GTR. very sad.
  7. yeah we are all in pretty good shape. ripped even.
  8. usually stamped in the centre of the rim somewhere (on the front) or if not on a sicker on the indside, or sometimes made into the cast in one of the spokes (on the back).
  9. ok, I still have a shiatload of seats and want to sell these 32 GTR ones. They are good condition, no holes, no tears. Price dropped to $850 pick-up from me in sydney, northshore.
  10. yeah, I highly doubt steve was even born in NSW. most likely he was born in the south then smuggled across the border as an infant. or he may have been born in nsw, but not originally as a man. you need to look to pillars of the comunity such as my good self and messers T brisby, Fatz and silhouette to see how fine gentlemen from nsw behave... no fangipani stickers, no gay metro mohawks, no died blonde highlights, no gucci sunglasses, no turned up collars, just good honest little battlers in town to drink all your beers, reset your records and root all your women (or men in fatz's case).
  11. yeah, it seems like 12 months ago every whore in nsw had a 32 GTR. of those that were around back then hardly any are left....except me!! muhahahahahahahaha it was fun while it lasted.
  12. damn that's nasty.
  13. holy shiat. happy birthday sweet cheeks.
  14. glad you found out what it was, but damn, next time hold the camera steady or at least focus it! i thought I was looking at a half eaten mars bar.
  15. yeah if you're in sydney I'd reccomend getting UAS to tune the cam gears. heaps of places wont do it claiming no power increase (even some tuners I respect and use). so when I went to UAS I got ben to do it. took around 1.5-2hours from memory and cost a couple of hundred bucks but the result was well worth it. especially on RB26, but they have told me good gains can be had with Rb25s too. so by all means fit them yourself, but just leave them at 0 and get them adjusted on the dyno.
  16. how about we do the driver challenge in your zed instead? I bags going first.
  17. i have to be honest here. i can't see why you want 275 tyres in the first place? 265 is massive. and 255 is ample. especially on a 9.5inch rim a 275 will probably handle worse than a good 255 and the 275 will be heavier and more expensive. no one can tell you for certain if it will fit or not. so many things will affect that. offset of your wheels? ride heigh of your car? castor setting? front camber? rear camber? height of bumptops? only way to find out is buy and try.
  18. degree wheel and dial indicator? wtf. you bolt them on at 0. then adjust on the dyno and check results but at no point do you need the degree wheel and dial indicator.
  19. have you ever watched domo-kun slim? it's not that great. he just walks around saying 'domo domo domo' all the time. lol. was considered the height of cool a few years ago. I guess he still has some charm.
  20. i think what fatz meant to say is......... DOES IT CHIRP SECONDS?
  21. yeah another good point. i will hold off running one as long as I can. I have a fuel pressure guage, and it records so I can watch what is happening with fuel pressure after a few laps. as long as the pressure isn't dropping off due to fuel surge then i wont run one.
  22. i wouldn't use that myself. i would use one like craved suggested. much safer, easier to fit, and pretty much zero pressure and flow restriction. check valve is needed to ensure that after you turn the car off, the fuel pressure doesn't drain away from the rail.
  23. basically as your fuel pump set-up is now overkill for most of the time (street driving) a huge amount of fuel is getting pumped up to the rail and then coming back again down the return. since the engine bay and fuel rail are all very, very hot, slowly (or quickly if you are stuck in traffic etc) the fuel in your tank becomes very, very hot. hot fuel is bad. so fuel cooler helps negate this. 260gts, i would run a return from the surge tank to the fuel tank, and from the fuel rail, to the surge tank. best way to go imo. just make sure your fuel returns are big enough.
  24. damn, even i haven't met half of those people...
