  1. nope cant see the whole article....
  2. wouldnt have a link to it would ya Troy?
  3. Anyone here put their battery in their gtst in the boot of their car? I was going to rewire the bosch 044 fuel pump for a direct feed from the battery, and i need the space in the engine bay for a remote mount filter, and catch tank.....so im gunna move it to the boot. I know i have to run a + cable to the front... Do i need to put the battery in one of them battery boxes? Ive got a Delkor Calcium battery (660cca) Is that ok to use in the boot (dunno if it qualifies as a sealed battery or not)? Any tips, or things i need to watch out for are appreciated.
  4. No difference in startup would be because the HKS has a thermostat in the sandwich block. exactly the reason why i am fitting one Id say that having the oil go through the lines, and cooler would have to have some part in acting like a heat sink. Id rather have the oil in the motor heating up to temp as fast as possible. Its like the intercooler just acting as a heat sink when you are sitting at the traffic lights....
  5. I agree with pete about the time it take the cars oil to warm up. The mechanical gauge ive got indicates that it takes more than 5 mins sometimes to get the oil on its way up to 70 + deg. Sometimes if im putting on my way to work at 3am it may just barely get to 80 as it is....I dont sit in my car with it idling waiting for it to warm up. I get in, get organized, then start the car and take off slow.... As for : Gtr's do run more than one, there is a water to oil cooler where the oil filter is located....but since i dont own a gtr, i cant tell you how many other it runs....
  6. you can see on some of the cheap kits >$300 the fittings are rather small compared to the brand name ones which use earls fittings. I dont like the idea of putting any extra restrictions in the oil lines than there has to be. Oil filters do put some restrictions on the system but there are websites out there that have tested all the brand name ones - incl. K&N and Purolator (which i use) and these give the least restrictions to flow, as well as the better design for filtration. I dont normally boot my car around for extended periods, but the other day i did (wasnt a hot day either) and within 5 - 10 mins oil temps shot up to ~95 deg. Water temps stayed around the usual 85. I wont be fitting a cooler without a thermostat, as i believe the info about cold starts, as well as daily driving i want my oil to stay around 85 as well. There is an operating range for oil, and the quicker i can get my oil there, and keep it there all the better i say.
  7. Cubes, you still up to do the subframe bushes/pinapples this christmas? Always better when you do it over a pit
  8. pm me how much exactly you are after....i hate guessing games Anyone else got one thats not working, or busted etc...let me know!
  9. Howdy, Just after any dead/dodgy hand controllers for an Apexi Power FC. I just need the front display to be in decent nick (the bit you look at with the numbers) I dont care what condition its in, even if it doesnt work.... If you have one thats dead, or not working then i'll pay cash for it. Let me know what you have.... B)
  10. Without having looked into it, could someone explain why gtr std items are better than gtst std bov's.... And yes i did have a HKS ssqv, and took it off....car is extremely loud with the venting (with the 3Lt more than before) , without adding extra notes and tunes to it
  11. Got any further with this SK? Ive been looking for another kit to build, as ive just finished my last Looking forward to seeing how this comes out....
  12. series 1 r33 and rb20det use the same clutch. The slave, fork, pivot ball etc all need to be the ones that come with the r33 box....
  13. depends on what compression you want to run doesn't it?
  14. Id just like to point out, that i have had another run since the 200 above Its now making ~220rwkw with a little more timing again....that above run was done at 1 bar Cubes refuses to believe until i produce a printed sheet....
  15. Becareful of putting a too bright of a globe in the std lens....i remember a mate wanted to do the same with his 4wd spotties, and the sales rep said you can blow the glass if its too hot, or bright....? cant remember exactly...

  17. This has been my dilemma disco GT35r is a little too big, and the GT30r may be a tad too small.....ive been looking into building one of these bitsa turbos for a long time....
  18. Are the headlights aligned preoperly to begin with?...lol sorry, had to ask Makes you wonder why Nissan put factory fog lamps on Id also be intersted in some upgraded headlights....without going xenons etc...
  19. im guessing, but id say it takes the speed reading off the dash, as i havent got my speedo cable working atm (no speedo reading on the cluster) and the pfc hand controller shows no speed. Cubes has his speedo working, and the speed reading works on the pfc. I dont know if its the same as for the std ecu though...?
  20. The guy gave you a discount for less than 10, then a price for 11-14...what if we get 15 + people...any more of a discount?
  21. id say wheel sizes are more important than ar's
  22. how did the revs change blind_elk? whats it like at 60km/h in 4th and 100km/h in 5th?
  23. Bagging Shaun and his dyno (on the open internet) because your not happy with the result you got (on a dyno day where he is pressed for time) doiing his best getting everyones car on and off is bad form in my opinion.... Sky30's car did wheelspin (you could see it and hear it), which Shaun had to restrap it down cos it got a little off line from memory...
