  1. I have Castrol edge in mine, honestly there isn't that much difference between them all. I perfer the Motul, it seems a bit nicer (quieter) with it, but at the end of the day most of the higher end mainstream oils will do the job. I changed from Motul puerly to make life easier for me. I was having to order oil every time, where as going down to supercheap and grabbing a bottle of Castrol is much easier I'm trying to get some info on Link + Link accessories but not having much luck with it. So far because I'm not that desperate for it I have just been emailing some Australian dealers and have emailed Link ECU direct. Link ECU gave me the closest dealer to me (Townsville) which I already knew but fair enough they are doing there job. At the moment I'm trying to find the info I need, I think I need the expansion cable to run the IAT sensor (as it uses an extra input) so basically I just want to know this and if they supply boost solenoids. Also, My Power FC's are still for sale Fault is with my car not the unit itself for those playing at home
  2. Autobarn used to. I used to get my 8100 Xcess from there but they stopped selling that. Think they might still sell 300V.
  3. What Sony does to the PSN to fix it? Can hardly complain, it is free after-all.........
  4. Heard a rumour that narain karthikeyan was in line for the Force India seat. Really glad that Sutil got it instead.... Not long to go now 3 more days of work between now and when I fly to melbourne for Round 1
  5. Checked your sensors in senser check (in ETC) on the commander? Check all your parameters (individually would be easier) as the problem is occuring. Perhaps look at airflow and see if it is doing anything weird
  6. Are you talking about the spigot bush? Because that's at the front of the gearbox, sits in the rear of the crank. There is no bush that the tailshaft sits. The female yoke sits over the male spline and the seal sits on the outside of the female yoke
  7. Gonna lend me the money for one? A4 beats RS4 for economy. I already have one fast car
  8. Nah nothing to crazy, sensible car just getting an A4, hopefully with an S-line kit and decent mags on it. Probably the only thing I'd touch would be the wheels. Park the Skyline most of the time, drive something that doesnt chew fuel and will be practical later in life. Thinking ahead and all that. Should be sweet anyway. Bit nicer then a commodore
  9. Rumour? lol I dont want to buy one, I'm going to buy one Just waiting for the time to be right. Probably be going for a look some time soon
  10. So I'm selling Both of my new Apexi Power FC's, have got a response from the Apexi engineers and they say its my tune, but I've used the base map and played around with the timing in these areas with no results So If anyone knows someone after an R33 GTST Apexi Power FC. I have 2 brand new ones. STATUS and others said they have had no troubles with these so it may just be an issue with my car, but I'm not really willing to chase it if they arent going to offer support. Chasing $1100 for each Power FC. They are both the latest models, come with everything in box including new EL hand controllers. Looks like I'm getting a link
  11. Valve stem........ NO Pirtek or enzed will have a fitting
  12. On Turbo compressor housing or elbow off Turbo? Surely it can't be to hard to find. If you run your hands along the pipes a nipple should be noticeable
  13. Not sure what this is doing here.......
  14. Yeah used an ND and polorasing filter to try and bring the brightness down to take a longer exposure. Would have been nicer if I could have made the exposure longer then I did but just wanted to have a go. Want to go do a night/twighlight shot one day. will see how i go
  15. No. The moving part is inside the solenoid. The end should be hollow. You might be able to see it. Is your neutral switch working? If the car thinks its in neutral it won't work
  16. SP Tools. Good mix of price and quality. I've been using SP Tools as a Diesel fitter for 5 years now and haven't broken anything. Realisticly if your only going to use them for this one job then a set from supercheap will do the job fine. Should be enough for the odd job on your car
  17. Looks like a temp sensor. Does/did the car have an after market ecu with an intake temp sensor?
  18. actually yeah it shouldnt effect boost on that side of the turbo. Did you pull anything else off that you've just forgotten about putting back on? Did you bend the actuator arm at all?
  19. No You need to drain the oil. Once you take the driveshaft out, the rear gearbox seal doesnt seal on anything and the oil can just pour out. The driveshaft meshes with the rear shaft on the gearbox - Female spline on the driveshaft, Male on the gearbox So the sealing is done on the outside of the driveshaft coupler
  20. Did you use a new gasket? If you used the old one and have a bolt not tight then this might be your issue.
  21. So will it be a sub par ps4 game when it could have been a brillian ps3 game? I'm not sure on any specs for the PS4 but I assume it will be another leap forward from the PS3 and therefore they wont be able to get the full potential out of it with a game coinciding with the release. They should do one last hurrah for the PS3 and then start working on a PS4 version. Or release on both platforms - hopefully this is what they do
  22. Why do you want genuine Nissan Oil?
  23. I'd go a different oil man. Have you talked to the V35 guys on here to see what oil they use? I've used Castrol with no issues, even used ATF for fun (because it was free) and that even wasnt all that bad. But the Redline shockproof so far is very good. I shouldnt have to use it because I've rebuilt the box, but I think the box has an issue with one of the gear sets because I still have alot of play in 5th on and off throttle. Anyway. I wouldnt expect the oil to be causing that much drama but worth a try I guess
  24. Driveshaft is easy, just unbolt the centre bearing and the driveshaft flange from the diff, the driveshaft just pulls out of the back of the gearbox (need to empty oil first) You might be able to do the seal without pulling the box, I dont remember changing the rear seal so cant remember whats involved
  25. Ahh ok. yeah shouldnt be a box issue then. Who recommended the Amsoil? Can you pull the boot for the clutch fork aside and feel around inside the bellhousing for some bits of clutch (wether its major bits, which I think is unlikely, or just some dust from the clutch) Seems a bit odd for a new box
