  1. Its over in Perth at DMS Electrics (FC-Hako) with them looking at it. But so far They seem to think its something to do with the actual program and not an 'issue' I'm not sure what other programs you might have that will go any further into the Power FC? I have FC-Pro and have logs of what it is doing, and the only thing that is different between my 2 power FC's is the ignition timing. There is a small spike in TPS voltage at the point where timing goes from 10 degrees retarded to normal IGN timing, but its 5mV. I think they are going to send me over there V5.11 Power FC to see if I have any luck with it. If it works fine then I think they were willing to do a swap I'm not to sure apart from that, do you have any other programs for the Power FC? I dont have it on me at the moment however
  2. Ordered a new TPS today, no good news so far about my dodgy Power FC, so hopefully that might help Dont know what to do with this Power FC really, I'd be really pissed if I bought another one and it did the same thing.
  3. If you have zip tied it so the blend door is in the full cold position and ur not getting cold air then you have a problem. Are you sure its in the fully cold position? And yeah see if your AC compressor clutch is engaging. Should be able to see the front of the compressor stationary then start spinning when the AC button is pressed on
  4. I do more then spend half my day driving around or shooting things but
  5. Ahh Can't wait to finish work. Spending far to much time fixing diggers in the pit, in the sun this week. Going home to Put my engine together would be a bit more fun
  6. -Bonnet -Lights -Front Reo -Front Bumper -Front Grille This is all you need. The plug for the front indicators/driving lights (unless this is what you meant above) is also different S1 to S2
  7. Looping or blocking the heater hoses off may produce cool air, but may produce ambient air temperatures if your already playing with the blend door, cant you just zip tie it in the cold only position or something? That is the easiest thing to do.
  8. I said the other day "If it was legal to kill people, I would be so much happier" Too far?
  9. T3 Flange and 6 bolt nissan (RB) rear, or dump flange Thats all you will need to know, not measurements. T3 flanges are the same
  10. Drain has to go to the sump and needs to be welded so you HAVE to pull it off You'll get a -10 weld on fitting in the spool kit
  11. I've had people not giving way correctly, not using roundabouts correctly and I think go through a red light doing the same thing as what you said Rob all beep/abuse/be gay I hate people who sit and give way to me when they are stopping to do a reverse parrelel or angle park. No one knows this rule it seems. Car parking must always pull over and give way
  12. I'd say you'd be able to claim it on insurance anyway. as above, unless someone Witnessed it and is willing to pick a side then 'noone' is at fault is this a rhetorical question?
  13. I can't even remember the last time your car moved under its own power There was no rush on the engine around Christmas, and now work will hold me up till around the start of Feb Will make big steps when I'm home next week anyway. Will see how far I get. after the pistons are in, the head is ready to bolt on, its all assembled and torqued up.
  14. Stock actuator will not allow the car to hit this low a boost level. There is either a boost leak somewhere or your boost gauge is faulty (I'm not sure if your reading boost on the Gizmo or on another boost gauge)
  15. Made progress today. Amazing I know After finally deciding I needed to get off my ass and start putting this engine together I stripped the block bare, cleaned all the oil gallerys out, cleaned all the journals and bores etc, cleaned the crank, Installed the oil jets, lubed the bores and deck, installed the crank and semi installed the main cradle. Also installed one of the plugs I had to install, the rear ones hard to get to and I was slack to do the restrictors lol When I come home might even get it looking something like an engine
  16. Just wish it was straighter, other then that its pretty cool What was that Hyundai thing like? I saw someone else went on that, cant remember the details but I think it was a prize of some sort? Some nice photos anyway, can't say I'm really a fan of the car but still good Its getting closer and closer to March, I'm pretty keen to get some F1 shots in Melbourne, can't wait for that Really be jumping in the deep end as I've never taken any fast moving shots like that but its the best way to learn I guess.
  17. This Better off being over-full if the dipstick is wrong then under-full if the dipstick is right
  18. you have to pull the engagement drive off the shaft to get one of the bearings off. To do this you need to get the disc out of the sensor. I think you can unscrew half the sensor and just move it away (this is how I did it) but not 100% sure that this doesnt damage the sensor.
  19. A cheap upgrade like some RDA slotted rotors and some new pads will help a fair bit for the price. It's about all I have and my brakes feel really good. Obviously not going to be stopping like a Formula 1 car, but still pretty damn good
  20. Not really up to Par, but I dont mind it anyway Canon 550D 50mm f/1.8 It's a bit scrappy, and I know the faults it has, but it was a quick shot to celebrate being 1 step closer to having an engine built IMG_3863 by 89CAL, on Flickr Going to try a Pano shot in the next week or so when I find time to go take some shots at a nice place I found
  21. So I pulled one of my spare CAS apart yesturday and all went pretty good, I had to drill the pin that holds the engagement drive out and bent the pickup disc a bit. Not sure if the new sensor comes with a new disc? I was thinking about just using a roll pin (Cutting down to size) in the hole for the engagement drive Is there any parts list at all for these? Bearings are easy enough to replace but the rest of the stuff not so much
  22. They suit some cars and not others, I bought JJR ones for my 33, my originals were leaking and I thought I'd see how LED's went. Pretty happy with how they look, they look really good during the day. Another reason I went with them is I'm pretty close to having LED's (or HID's) everywhere in my car OP: I'm 99% sure the ones Just Jap sell are the same as the MARS performance ones on ebay http://stores.ebay.com.au/Mars-Warehouse/R34-Skyline-/_i.html?_fsub=830555013&_sid=205080723&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322
  23. Why Build an engine when you can take photos of the parts instead IMG_3863 by 89CAL, on Flickr Tried to get some photos of the colour I'm putting on the cam covers, its a bit hard but you get the idea: Might get keen tomorrow and clean the block and get it ready for pistons and painting.
  24. Rough estimate on fuel, and yes movie savings would help Events here....... drags, drives or drifts is about the extent of what can be done here I'm letting you finish it....... are you letting yourself finish it but? I've found some motivation today and put my pistons and rods together, just hanging out for a second person to put the c-clips in. Damn they are little bitches to get in
