  1. $400 fuel bill, but the movie tickets are cheap I want to take my car to Brisbane one of these days, but will probably do it when there is a proper event on (And not sure when I will get the energy to drive it up there) Track day at Willobank etc would be the go. Maybe there will be a few others from here keen as well, if they ever have cars again...... Appreciate the invite though, shame we are so far away up here in our dark corner of the world
  2. Does it have an oil cooler? The initial problem (if you changed the filter as well) would have been the filter filled with oil and this lowered the oil level a bit. If it has no leaks and you think that to much oil has been put in then it has to be going.somewhere. its not spewing out the breathers or anything?
  3. Very late model R33's had them. They have the cams with the Hitachi drive in them. I think it was mainly the 40th anniversary ones/98 ones (as above)
  4. when I get my copy of BO2 back I'll be keen to play zombies. Took it to a mates place and havent seen it since before christmas lol
  5. Cheap as I always thought the Hitachi CAS was easier to rebuild but apparently not? probably should of had a go at my spare broken CAS today but forgot all about it.
  6. Is Ben's name on the shirt? If so I'm not sold at all Think I have found a colour for my cam covers, It's pretty similar to the colour I already have but its a little nicer and has a little more metallic through it. Will see If I can get a good photo later on
  7. In 2 places at once? I underestimated you
  8. Bogans in an old cruiser wagon were right up my ass at auto corner when I was doing 60 then went past and stared at me as they were doing it. May have boxed them in to stop them speeding but. I'm just a nice guy stopping people getting speeding tickets though The amount of people that look at me like I'm retarded then do 80 in a 60 zone makes me wonder.......
  9. Depends on the switch but the top diagram looks good. You'd have to double check the wiring diagram in whichever switch you choose
  10. That's cause you drive a swift around Come motivate me to do some engine building
  11. Yeah just the price of a whole unit from america is pretty good. Changing the sensor would be alright, not sure if anyone has a number for the bearings, but I have a dead CAS here I wouldn't mind playing with. Gotta try and remember how to pull them apart but. there a bit of a pain in the way they are designed (The S1 sensors that is)
  12. I swear I'm not being a Smarta$$, but does it really matter? genuine JECS/Mitsubushi/whatever internals I imagine is better, but for the price you cant really complain
  13. The restrictors have two main purposes: Keeping oil pressure in the block and preventing to much oil getting in the head What I'm reading into your post there is you want to change the pump relief pressure from 80 to 120psi. This will not mean less oil in the head. You are not changing the restriction but rather exchanging how much pressure the oil will pump. So you still have (for example) a 2mm hole to feed oil into, but instead of only supplying enough oil to hit 80psi, the pump is supplying enough oil to hit 120psi. Therefore there is more oil displaced from the pump before it is hitting relief. You need flow to move oil, you need flow + restriction to create pressure, pressure and flow will increase proportionally if the restriction is not changed. Change the restriction however to a 1mm hole then you should hit 120psi with less oil being displaced
  14. These (AFAIK) are recon units from the US. Much cheaper anyway. Have an S1 CAS from them on my car at the moment with no issues http://rawbrokerage.com/Raw-Brokerage-Cam-Angle-Sensor-CAS-RB25-NEO-R34-RB26-rawb-cas2.htm http://rawbrokerage.com/Raw-Brokerage-Cam-Angle-Sensor-CAS-RB20-RB25-RB26-rawb-cas1.htm
  15. hmmm thats odd I was looking at buying a new one not to long ago (for S1) and they were a little under $500 perhaps they are becomming obsolete?
  16. *sigh* Pressure is restrciction to flow. Think about a garden hose with no end on it, water runs out. Put your finger over the end (i.e make a restriction) and the water shoots out at a higher pressure More pressure often equals less flow, but its not that simple as in they are not directly proportional (from memory). But at no flow you would hit the pumps relief setting so you would get maximum pressure at minimum/no flow
  17. If I got rid of/something happend to the skyline I'd get an E46 M3 .... Well actually I'd probably get a 33 or 34 GTR but anyway... Was thinking of getting one anyway, but not real practicle and a bit to expensive
  18. Kudos sell them for just over $400 not sure where your getting the $1000 from? I bought a refurbed one from the states for just over $100. From RawBrokerage I think
  19. My steering is fine with hicas removed, ecu plugged in and all hicas connectors at rack just taped up Wasn't aware there were problems. Just had the HICAS light always on
  20. No dash light for fog/driving lights. It should however bring your dash illumination on Hand brake light in r33 will also come on with low brake fluid. I know from experience There is no light to indicate low oil LEVEL as indicated on the first page. It is merely a warning that your oil pressure is to low. There is no oil level sensor on r33's
  21. So that's why people buy them. Don't know where either are but lol
  22. s-class?
  23. I've seen the videos of all the Easter eggs etc where you build $hit and stuff happens. But its all to much effort lol Where is this place and what does it look like? May have seen it Those things in between stops that get you are just annoying
  24. F$#@ off rob I'm getting an Audi you bastard haha. You get a BMW 318i so we can have mad 1.8L races
  25. 3 position switch wired to two relays. Up on switch open, down on switch close, middle position off I could do up a diagram but I'm on my phone
