My drivers door never had it but my passenger door used to lock at around 20kmh then one day the passenger door solenoid stuffed up so I got one from a S2 R33 (NA) and put it in my S1 and it never locked above 20kmh since. So think the OP Might be on to it as I'm pretty sure theres one less wire on the S2 Solenoid as it might be done from elsewhere in the S2's
  3. Yeah as above, better off to let it warm up before you boost it. I've always let mine get at least 5mm above the cold line on the gauge before boosting it.

  6. Any boost source off the manifold is fine. I'd rather not take it from the Fuel pressure reg cause then thats two lines that can split and result in incorrect fueling due to the FPR getting the wrong boost reading Boost gauge is the same thing. And yes my theory is its best if your gauge and controller are both seeing the same boost from the same source. You cant hook your boost gauge into the line that runs to the actuator as this is taken off the IC piping usually which means it wont really see vaccum. Manifold pressure will be needed for both controller and gauge. And taking them from the same spot is the best to ensure there both seeing the same boost
  7. Dont be crazy with it yet. I ran mine in for 1000km as suggested (no major clutch slipping or launches) and I dont know if it makes a difference but I'd rather listen to what NPC told me and follow their procedure I dont know if mine felt THAT soft lol, think its a bit harder then stock but def nicer then the exedy

  9. It's not pretty Purple like mine And my pedal felt alot softer with the NPC then the Exedy cushion button. Bites like a bitch, I'll always suggest an NPC to anyone who needs one
  10. I cant believe they were saying "we're in a good spot now" when he came out in front of Grosjean, who then was immediatly faster. What race were the Mclaren guys watching :S Can't help think that if Lotus got on the front row they might just run away with a race. Kimi and Romain both smashing fastest laps at different stages. Great win for Webber but, drove a solid race, good to see how planted the car is, it looked amazing through the corners But whoever was directing the race coverage, what a $hit job. So many times they cut away when there was a car catching just beore the DRS and missed an overtake to go get some shots of something pointless. I think it was useless coverage of an exciting race
  11. Can you jump start the car? If you cant jump start it (hook it up and it still wont start) then I'd say the battery might have dropped a cell It sounds like it could be either without further investigation. Grab a multimeter and another car to jump start. Hook the multimeter up to the battery and jump start the car. If it puts out between 14v-15v then your altenator should be O.K. If this is fine then then let it run and charge for a bit, turn the car off and leave the multimeter hooked up. Battery voltage should be about 12v (will probably sit slightly under) with the car off. Now you might need two people but measure the voltage while cranking the engine. If it drops below 8V theres a definate problem. I think anything below 9V isnt real great but I'm pretty sure you may still start the car with that Do some of these tests and report back what you find

  13. Not sure if it was just going from an iPhone to an S2 or if its the keyboards themselves, but I found it really hard to text on the android GB keyboard. I downloaded the ICS keyboard (which is pretty similar to the iOS one) which is a hell of alot better. Can't really put my finger on why..... but it just is

  15. Suzuka 2005 in the MP4-20 - 18th place on the grid, took first place on the last lap from Fisichella. Best race ever in a car that should have won the season if not for so many reliability issues Nicest McLaren for a long time as well

  17. If mine dies I'll have a hard time deciding wether to switch or not. Buying a new PowerFC is easy. Plug it in, load my tune and away i go. But the added features of the Vipec are worth retuning. Decision I hope I wont have to make for quite a while

  19. I coulda had that 180 But it was a bit impractical for me having 2 thirsty sports cars It's looking good now anyway, It was crying for a rear spoiler I think. I'm still not sold on the flares but I think I'm on my own with that The PowerFC is plenty enough for the 300rwkw or so that I'll be aiming for with my new setup. Might start ordering parts soon. If I was going to get something else I think I'd go with the Link G4, as there essentially the same as the Vipec anyway. From what I heard the Vipec was being phased out and were just going to be sold as Links from now on but that seems like its untrue now I think I got my boost sorted but I'm not willing to pay $40 to have it stuff up on me tonight seen as I just spent quite a bit of money on nearly a 3 week holiday. Not sure what my next pay is going to be like either so will probably give it a miss tonight. Knowing my luck it would probably rain anyway

Having owned both I find the texting on iPhones better (till I downloaded an ICS keyboard for mine) but other then that I like the android for downloading apps, customizing, the fact that it has flash player (or can be downloaded) It used to annoy the hell out of me putting my apple ID password in every time i wanted to download a free app, I get the security thing but I dont really care if someone steals my phone and downloads a million free apps All in all thought, iPhone users are always gonna hate androids, android users are always gonna hate iPhones. It's like a nerdy Holden vs Ford battle Most iPhone users dont give the Galaxy's enough of a try before they chuck them down and say iPhones are way better. It took me quite a while to get used to my S2 but I dont think I'd ever go back On topic? I think its stupid when the apple connector works so well and so many people are going to lose use of there previous docks/accessories well.... stupid if your a consumer, smart if your apple

  23. Yeah its the PFC boost control kit, it used to hold boost fine after a bit of tweaking. It cuts the engine if boost gets a certain value over the set boost I've been using it for probably near on 3 years now and its only this year its started to play up so I'll try and get it to work, if not I'll just assume its on its way out and buy another EBC It's alot of money to spend on something I already have is the only annoying part As for the PowerFC vs Vipec thing..... Yes the Vipec is better, but the PowerFC works fine and I already have one. I've looked at the software for the Vipec and while it looks simple enough to tune inj and ign maps, theres way to much other crap to worry about. Would take a while to learn it all Maybe one day I'll change, but I cant justify it now. I nearly bought nengun's d-jetro version of the PowerFC for GTS-t but again, couldnt justify it

Also went for a drive tonight and found that the thing is overboosting and hitting boost cut on the power FC, it ran faultlessly last year so might have to pull some plugs/lines off all the boost control system and see what I can do. Otherwise the boost settings will need adjustment and I dont know how long that will take or how effective it will be. So I'd say I wont be at test and tune unless I find and fix a problem tomorrow. Changing the settings would have to be done on the way to Palmyra and I'm not sure it would be good enough to spend money to race and have it stuff up again Anyway.... Heres another photo from my trip, I just finished editing some photos so thought I may as well put one up here.
