  1. Hard to explain the colour I want. Dad has a selection so I'll see what I like best lol. Anyone keen for a meetup this weekend?
  2. Yeah sounds like its reading off the stock sensor. If you want to check your AFR's I'd suggest taking it to a tuner and spending $100 putting it on a dyno and getting them to tell you how it is. If its just a stock ECU this would be your best option, but it shouldnt be running lean. If aftermarket ECU then I suggest getting a good quality wideband kit. BTW 13.5:1 sounds rich if anything for an NA, probably about right on stock ECU
  3. Yeah I'm thinking a dark gunmetal metallic, or something along those lines, will see what I can find
  4. Buy one from the used section, shouldn't cost to much for a used A/C unit It'll be easier then stuffing around with your unit
  5. Yeah cig lighter illumination wire or cd player illumination wire are the easiest +1 for not hooking it up to constant power lol
  6. Yeh but I think the blue would be a bit hit or miss. Black is safe lol. I might stop by on the way home this arvo?
  7. I have the v1's and they didn't come with that black ring. But if it fits there loosely it might just be to help with vibrations or something. If your worried then ask the place you got them from or email BC direct. I'm only guessing
  8. Coilpacks wouldn't make to much difference on fuel economy (unless they were colpletely wrecked) Most of your fuel economy comes from your lean cruise cells which don't require a strong spark. The coilpack issues mainly occur under boost/load when the spark needs to be strong Having said that splitfires are good for later on when you decide to start modding more
  9. Hook them up to the illumination wire for your cd player. Easiest spot to get a light up power source, ground the black wire
  10. I'm getting rid of the red fuel lines very soon, they were just all I had when I put the plenum on. Thinking of going with black actually cause I'm getting anodized blue bolts everywhere pretty much, then making a stainless heat shield for the exhaust manifold. So everything will be blue black or silver Next year the engine bay might get a bit of a spray while the engine is out and everything that goes back in will get a refurb I think so hopefully it will look new. Don't worry Ben, that's why I put them up. Need people's opinion. So anyway. ATM leaning towards black engine (basically like 3rd photo) with blue fixtures, polished manifold, heatshield and piping, blue vac hoses and black fuel lines. Don't worry either, I haven't gone completely cosmetic with my mods now. More power coming soon
  11. the part in the right of your photo goes aginst the mount (hub side) for the coilover, the other side is where the washer/nut goes, so it spaces out from the hub a bit and doesnt rub/hit as for the black ring.... I never got anything like that with my V1's, it doesnt fit over the bit its bolted to?
  12. We cant all have 26's My little 25 does the job Fritz: Didn't realise you said "your" fuse cover, Might be interested in that.... anyway, heres the options I've thought of and had a quick play in photoshop with: Silver Blue Black Kinda like black but think it wont look as good when its done Who thinks what?
  13. I remember when my HKS box rocked up, felt like Christmas all over again. Hopefully the T04Z delivers more to expectations then my turbo did lol I'm probably gonna go silver on the Cam covers to put a bit of contrast between all the carbon fibre surrounding parts. Will experiment over christmas anyway, have a month off to play around with the car, and I'll be respraying nearly the whole front end and maybe a few other things anyway so will have a play with the cam covers in between
  14. No I dont lol What colour? Have some metallic-ish silver caliper paint which would probably be alright and would resist the heat well... that might do
  15. Yeah but I think polished will look alot better then black. Might just paint them a high gloss silver
  16. I was thinking that, but not yet. I want rocker cover ideas ATM lol. Don't know what to do with them
  17. So everyone sick of the Mackay thread? I'll just make it my own thread, with another Pic I've got my fix of carbon fibre engine stuff now I think, taking votes on what to do with rocker covers - Paint them black or polish them/paint them silver go
  18. Spelling? Just talk to ISC Performance. They have plenty of quality suspension parts
  19. 100% happy to do so
  20. yeah, this It would have to retain a key to turn on the electrics and push button to start only when the key is in. The only way I could see it being safe
  21. It wont let you run 10+ psi boost I've been there, done that on a stock ECU, it'll be much nicer to drive on 7psi, trust me. I replaced my coilpacks did spark plugs etc and it still didnt want to accept anymore then factory(ish) boost. Some cars it just affects more then others, some are lucky and get away with it Just trying to save you some money. Either live with stock boost, or save up for Engine management (piggyback or full replacement) You wont look back
  22. I said it my first post, put it on a dyno and check AFR's, AFM voltages wont tell you the full story. For the reasons that have been listed in the post above plus many more, everything could be alright on paper, but your car is running Rich and causing bad fuel economy. Take it to a tuner and ask him to put it on the dyno and check the AFR's Sensor voltages are really just inputs to the ECU, 4V at the AFM doesnt mean its going to put X amount of fuel into the engine.
  23. have you asked someone at Autobarn? They are the national dealers for Drift parts so might be able to order it in
  24. Theres no need for them to hook into the start wire because they only need to keep the car running when key is off. Should hook into ACC, ON and constant power. What exactally do you want to do? have the normal key to turn everything in the car on then having a race style switch to start?
  25. I'll sell you my dual stage turbosmart boost controller. 2 boost settings changed by a switch in the cab. Hide the switch if you dont want anyone touching it. PM Me if your interested. It worked fine when I was running stock boostish levels
