  1. Hi Need a CAS for an RB25DET, There all the same from what I know but would perfer a S2 R33 one. Preferably from somewhere in QLD so It will get to me a bit quicker. PM me if you have one Thanks Callan
  2. So if anyone has a spare WORKING CAS, please let me know Mine sounds like the bearing is about to explode
  3. I just has a look in FC Edit and it only has VCT: then a value. For me it's 4700. Guessing it must be the switch off point as I can definitely hear my VCT solenoid click at just above idle when I give i give it a quick free rev. Can double check in sensor check later
  4. So You have the wrong spitfires for your current loom and need the loom that came with them put in place of yours?
  5. What exactally has happened because the coilpack loom should plug into the main loom, so you should just be able to buy a coilpack loom and plug it in then away you go
  6. I was told 20psi was pushing the limits of the head gasket and/or head studs? Is this not the case?
  7. Wideband is able to read a 'wide' range of AFR's but a narrowband is designed to work it a 'narrow' band of AFR. A narrowband basically just reads about a 1 point AFR range, as this is only as much as is needed to keep a lean cruise AFR. The ECU only needs to add fuel if it is above this range, or take fuel if it is below this range till it gets within the region that the narrowband will read. Or at least this is how I understand it widebands will work on a larger range. Its the sensor that is the wideband part. The gauge/controller is basically just reading signal from the sensor. AEM UEGO's dont ever need to be calibrated, Innovates require fresh air calibration every 3 months (recommended at least) from memory. Have absoloutly no complaints about my AEM kit, and there not overly expensive at the moment
  8. I've run 18psi all day every day for the last 6 months on a stock motor. It's about as much as I personally want to throw at it but I think others have gone higher
  9. Ok sweet as. Thanks
  10. sounds far to rich at idle thats for sure......
  11. Pull the coolant nipples out of your standard one, paint it anodized blue or something and use it Unless you are running serious power, STD throttle body is fine for performance
  12. Go read in the x-force traders section the article on backpressure And also, the turbo is the primary restriction on a turbo car. You want to have as much gas flowing after that as possible. AFAIK you could run a 5" exhaust on a stock 33 and it'd be no different power wise to a 3" exhaust Or am I wrong? If so, damn I've been way off for years lol
  13. What gap did you set the plugs at? What's your setup? How much boost? Etc Could be stock ECU having a fit if your running higher than factory boost levels or to large a gap in your plugs/ non ideal plugs
  14. I tried downloading it from a site that has some random skyline/Nissan stuff on it but it only partially downloaded every time I tried. I'm not in desperate need of it but if it works on windows 7 64 bit I'd be happy to have it It's very handy to have
  15. Exactally You could rebuild a turbo to stock with steel wheels if you wanted. Not sure if you'd call it a highflow but it wouldnt go bang on 15psi which is what he is after. My gt2835 Kai ran fine on my old tune up to about 11psi, just cramming more boost and flow pushed the tune to new cells
  16. Here comes the excuses
  17. Ok so who's available/keen on a Saturday day/night meet + photos. Some of you want to go to the drags (think that's Saturday) so we can split the day or you can all go to that together I want to get photos of any colored cars during the day and probably black cars at night (as they look a bit better at night) but I will take photos of all the cars at both times I've got a few little things to do saturday morning but will see what everyone wants to do then work out times
  18. Talk to "hypergear" on these forums. They will recondition your turbo, change the ceramic exhaust wheel to steel and machine the housings to allow more flow and more power and safe to run more boost to. PM hypergear or give them a call (google search will give you the site)
  19. It'd be cheaper + Better to just get your stock turbo high-flowed. Get it modified to suit your needs. I dont think a GT2860rs is the best turbo for a 25.
  20. Haven't got a bad thing to say about my x-force 3" MS exhaust. Sounds good, hasn't been restrictive and hasn't had any issues in the last 3 years
  21. Yeah the kit I have fits ok but makes the bonnet sit up at the back. May modify them but there not so bad. May try some stronger wire to hold them together while they go on. Will post up photos when I sort it out. Dads tried some strapping tape (the plastic stuff) from his work but the ends on the struts are rounded so they were just slipping off. Have tried wrapping wire around each end and hooking them in the middle but the wire we used wasn't strong enough
  22. So I got a bonnet strut kit to trial on my R33, but because of the acute angle the struts are so damn hard that it's seemingly impossible to get them on the mounts. The kit is for a 180sx so it's not made for a skyline, but it fits alright apart from the slightly to long and very hard struts lol Just after some ideas on how to hold them compressed while putting them on the car. Thought maybe someone might have an idea. Otherwise I will find shorter struts or get a bit of gas taken out of these ones maybe Thanks
  23. Massive restriction on intake side or massive leak on pressure side. If you've already checked that the wastegate is functioning and the turbo is spinning then has to be one of these Could also possibly be an exhaust gasket. Did you replace them with new items when you put the new turbo on? (T3 flange gasket will cause more problems then the dump pipe gasket)
  24. Ok the stock r33 solenoid is hooked up from actuator to solenoid to boost source. But I know the connection your talking about that is hooked up to the BOV return line. I don't remember exactally where it goes as standard but I do know that the Vac hose from the BOV return line MUST be blocked. Not sure if you have hooked this up somewhere in the system but it is not necessary with an aftermarket boost controller. You will loose all your boost through this line if it is plugged in as it goes to the inlet side of the turbo, therefore is always suction
  25. yeah I probably wont bother, I get pretty good economy out of tuning it to set values. Cars been a bit strange lately, went a bit lean the other day on cruise so I tuned it back to where it should be and now its gone rich, so think I will have to check over everything to see why its doing this
