jack car off ground, turn wheel on one side, if the other wheel turns in the same direction then you have an LSD, if its badly worn I guess it might not GTS-t half shafts are 5 bolt and are thicker then GTS ones. My CV's wouldnt fit on a half shaft i grabbed out of a NA R33 when I needed to get mine going.

I just bought a netgear wifi extender that acts like a repeater. main reason i got it was so that i could plug my tv, ps3 etc over Ethernet (into the extender) and get better connections on them. working a treat so far Previously had the d-link powerline AV kit (Ethernet over power) hooked up to a 5 port router which worked fine for ages then all of a sudden had a mass of connection problems between the two EoP units.

Stock Vacuum Pressure At Idle For R32 Gst T.?
89CAL replied to undertoe's topic in General Maintenance
It varies really depending on alot of things. I think around -15 is a decent result but Why are you after this info? What problem do you have -
Still Got Axle Tramp Arrgghhh!

ahh sweet, hopefully mine are the same. Otherwise ill find a way to knock them out on the car lol -
Sounds the opposite to clutch slip, usually clutch slip the revs would shoot up but your speed would remain the same But yeah put it in 5th at low revs, and hold your foot flat till it starts building boost. Sounds like youve done something similar in 4th anyway. Just saying its a bit weird that the speed shot up but revs remained the same

yeah gonna see about some titanium blue bolts for the covers, but as long as my half moons turn up this week I'll put them on this weekend. Should look the goods. Will paint the CAS soon, pulled my old one apart the other day, so I know how to do that now. The inner bearing was pretty wrecked, no wonder it was making all that noise lol
-
Have to post one more photo because the colour looks so much better in direct sunlight
-
Finished, not the best but Will probably end up doing something with the ones that come off the car anyway
-
I have one i didn't need. are you sure its the switch? Mine was the plug in the engine bay (near the relay box)
-
I kinda wish i went a twin plate. bought the clutch and then later on when i rebuilt the gearbox i bought a lightweight flywheel off NPC. ended up costing nearly as much as a twin plate would have but oh well haha
-
My NPC clutch is the best I've ever driven. there a great clutch

Can you try another CAS? I just replaced my CAS because the bearing was on the way out and making alot of noise. Have had alot less knock since then, but my base timing is the same as it was with the old CAS try and borrow one and see if it helps. If your knock reading goes down then you might need a new CAS. If you havent touched your tune then it sounds a bit like something has partially failed. Just suggesting CAS, cause mine was very intemitetly throwing out high readings which werent really repeatable

Still Got Axle Tramp Arrgghhh!

Let me know how the hardrace engine mounts are. thinking about getting some -
70+ on startup would indicate something to do with the starter motor. while the car is running there may be some vibrations through the starter causing knock readings. i know i get the most knock on startup sometimes. Its not so bad when i stop cranking before the engine has fully started so the starter motor isnt being over-run by the engine before disengaging the ring gear I know my starter is on the car tight so its either a bit funny internally or maybe the thin plate on the bellhousing is vibrating with the starter motor

Damn didnt know the rear bush was press fit into the cradle. Have all 4 bushes that i was gonna do whlie the diff was out. if the years are press fit into the cradle then i may not do them after all..... -
I use motul 8100 x-cess and oil pressure is always ok. mine sits below halfway when warm on idle I traialed some Castrol edge 10w40 i think it was but oil pressure was way to high on a cold day when i first started the car so switched back to motul

Stop cost him 6 seconds really (9ish second stop from memory, good pitstop is about 3.4s) I'm a fan of Webber, I really want him to win. But I'm afriad he's just not doing the job at the moment. Wether that is 100% his fault or not, I cant say (maybe the car is designed more for Vettel's style, these are the things we will never know) Not really sure why He wasn't trying to outbrake Button at the end of the DRS zones but, Thought he would have tried to attack a bit more. Hopefully the rumours about Kimi Raikkonen coming back to F1 turn out. I'm not sure how competitve he will be in a Willams but still be good to see him racing again, especially if he drives it like he did the MP4-20

Where To Get New Swaybar D Bushes And Brackets?
89CAL replied to V28VX37's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yep spot on. as long as you know the sway bar OD they will fit fine -
Its evoke metallic, holden (VE) colour. looks really dark in the shade and sparkley grey in the sun. think it should look good Ignitor bracket fitted. need to order more pretty bolts to:
-
Think we might just be on two different pages here, hence the confusion but yeah your right, its a pretty pointless argument and I probably should have left it at the first comment lol Interestingly but, my HKS GT2835 KAI seems to make alot more noise with the anti surge slots blocked off then with them open. Probably because the air has nowhere to go once it gets into the anti surge holes and creates more of a whistle. Still a disapointing turbo so far
-
O.K so I've done some painting trialing out the colour I'm gonna paint a couple of things Cam Cover: Ignitor Bracket: Think its a pretty good colour, just have to see if the paint sticks alright and finish prepping the rocker covers, should look much better then the ones on there now anyway

Had a go at the resistance one where you have to survive wave after wave of enemy, thought it was quite good, Bit of strategy involved with being able to pick what guns, grenedes and assits you get. I thought it was pretty good. Getting better at online, but holy S@#$ some people have been playing a bit to much I think. Played a game before where I got owned by people who knew the map a hell of alot better then me lol
-
I was more focussing on the fact that you said no turbo car you know makes any induction noise, where as all the people I know with turboed cars that HAVE pod filters make plenty of induction noise. Noise comes from the blades on the turbine cutting the air basically. Tell me how a turboed engine is not "sucking" in more air then an NA, this goes against the whole point of forced induction. Your putting more engine into the engine, its not just appearing in there magically, its getting sucked in there. NA induction noise is different but unless its a V8 etc, my old VL Calais had a Pod filter and barely heard any induction noise, Where as my Skyline with the stock turbo, stock piping and my HKS Turbo and custom piping both make/made induction noise. Video evidence OP: If your car is boosting and running fine then I dont see it having any problem, Just thought it was a bit strange that there was no induction noise
-
What do you mean turbo cars don't suck air like N/A's? You don't think that turbo is pulling in extra air to flow enough to create pressure? Every single person i know with a turbo skyline and a pod filter makes a hell of a lot of induction noise. If it has the standard air box and panel filter it will make minimal noise
