  1. Ok so lets have a vote: This week - Thursday: Friday: Saturday: Next week- Monday: Tuesday: Wednesday Put what days your free and we will see if everyones time off lines up
  2. Huh? I didnt think R33's came with this :S Was it an option that was rarely speced?
  3. maybe vac lines and BOV? lol Does it have standard ECU? if so do an ECU reset and start the car
  4. NPC do twin plates but I dont know to much about them. Agree with above, single plate is not going to be good enough at those power levels. Whatever you end up choosing, Go for a twin plate or better
  5. I had R32 GTR wheels on my R33 GTS-t when I bought it if that helps?
  6. Whos free for a pre christmas meet up? Im on holidays and getting pretty bored so if everyone else has a day off sometime this week maybe we should organise something. Gonna be impossible for everyone to be there (considering people are on different rosters etc) but worth a shot hey? Bring the Zed out for some snaps Ben?
  7. all good, lots of confusion in this thread haha
  8. Whoops sorry. Didnt see the 'not' in 'not trying to install a boost gauge' The MAP sensor for the boost gauge is the only one on the car from factory, because it runs MAF. Best bet if any sensor will do might be to try and find someone who's got rid of there stock boost sensor and buy it off them. But at the same time I think there only a 1bar unit so might not be any good for what your after. I think in the PFC FAQ thread paulr33 lists some MAP sensors that can be used with the DJetro that are cheaper then buying the Apexi sensor. Maybe give that a look
  9. Ok..... Your trying to fit a boost gauge.... an aftermarket one? If so it should either come with its own MAP sensor (if electronic) or should require a direct boost feed to the gauge (if mechanical) If your fitting the standard gauge (in standard cluster) then that black box is what that is for. So if its not there, then you need to get one.
  10. Button Clutch probably? What power are you looking at making?
  11. This
  12. A 0.8 gap will be plenty enough spark. With the larger gap you run the risk of blowing the spark out, or not having a strong enough coil pack to power across the gap. If the larger gap works, then thats fine, but nothing wrong with running a slightly smaller gap Splitfires are replicas of OEM's, well of course they are, there would be no point making them different so you hav to mod your car to fit them. OEM's are fine, If you can get brand new ones, buy second hand ones and you could end up buying coilpacks on the way out and have to buy another coilpack or set. I've run Splitfires with 0.8 gapped copper spark plugs for the last 2 and a bit years, never ever had a miss running 18psi all day every day for the last year
  13. are you talking about the MAP sensor for the stock boost gauge? Cause thats the only MAP sensor that the S2 (R33) RB25 will have. Its located on the drivers side near the firewalll. Has a boost line going to it, and a wiring harness plugged into it (4 pin or maybe 5 pin?) That thing you have circled in your photo is part of the AAC valve, its not a sensor
  14. Splitfires were cheap when I bought them. Never missed a beat. Have never had my coil cover off, have a carbon fibre one now anyway so I'm not gonna be leaving that off lol I dont see any problems with having it off, unless you are getting a lot of water in there from a vented bonnet
  15. I know its not a polisher. I just thought that it had to high an RPM to polish. Im no expert but I thought polishers had to have a lower RPM so they didnt burn the paint. But looking at the Concours 900 polisher that Waxit Sell and they run 2500-6500rpm. So I guess its not as far out as I thought
  16. I think the RPM of that unit might be a bit high for polishing
  17. Dont go on Boostcruisng? lol
  18. You'd be better off with a ca18 kit due to the air speed velocity of the square root of cylinder one
  19. NYC do twin plates. i don't do to many crazy launches but I've broken a drive shaft once doing a big launch. several 4k-4.5k launches at the drags. im not much for high rev launches since my drive shaft let go lol
  20. Win I think I know what you ended up getting, but I wont spoil it for you
  21. Its an NPC 10" sprung button clutch, good for 300+rwkw, car is making 255rwkw atm Clutch bites hard and the pedal is pretty soft. Takes a bit to get used to but once you do its an easy clutch to live with. Cost about $760 from memory. If your gonna get one think about getting there billet flywheel while your at it. easy to do it all in one go.
  22. He's using plastic pistons lol I wish i had money to start my engine
  23. Cant speak for the other two, but I'm extremely happy with my NPC Clutch and Flywheel
  24. Series Gay you mean
