  1. Wish I still had my go kart
  2. Parking is pretty good. As I said it's not right in airlie so less ransoms walking around. It's undercover but not secure (can walk in and out of the car park no worries). 660 a night for the 4 bedroom penthouse I think it is. But there might be a 2 night minimum stay
  3. Hells yeah. I think I'll be flying solo that weekend (Jodie has to work) but Brock is a possible chance of coming. I'll still try and convince Jodie as well. I'm keen for good airlie photo opps Penthouse at blue horizon (yes I'm beginning to sound like a broken record about this place) is awesome, 2 story thing that would neary be as big as my house. Only penthouse I think I've ever stayed in so my input doesn't mean much but yeah I'd be all in for that
  4. Don't bring my workplace into it lol But yeah it's been talked about again and again and I dot see it happening. Townsville has a round for the V8 supercars. They wouldn't do another one here There's noone here with porsche careers cup cars, or any other 1 make or GT series cars here that I know of. And public race days would therefore be to expensive to cover the costs/insurance etc As I said. It doesn't look likely, which is Sad yes but from a budget point of view you can't really blame them
  5. Some skylines manage to get power, others don't. R&R is rich and retard which is basically a safety mode to protect the engine when abnormal things happen (eg. More boost/airflow, knock) When this happens your cars power will suffer.
  6. This Save yourself $30 now only to have inferior studs break This means buying studs again and going through all te effort of installing them. I'd rather spend the extra $30 for piece of mind. That is by no means breaking the bank
  7. Would be great but I don't have high hopes I don't think there's enough people/cars/potential race series' to justify it sad to say, would love to be able to go for a race around a circuit without having to travel a full day first
  8. just get them from Nissan, there not overly expensive for genuine items. And it never hurts to have genuine parts to put your mind at ease
  9. ah ok sweet. That was my plan, having something to cool the air down without injecting it into the engine. That way the tune wont be dependant on it. Its just an idea at the moment but will see what happens. So you say yours sprays from the back of the core? I thought it would be better to have it blow through the core? But if your getting the results shooting it from the back then that would be better. Dont really want to attract attention either. Thanks Phil Will look into a NOS purge kit if I decide to go that way
  10. Ok so both nipples are connected and join into one which then goes to the actuator? If so then i don't think it will really cause problems, but it is weird for it to be like that. Really it's just two different points to pick up the boost feed from, there's discussion on which is best This isn't a normal setup but I don't see it causing major problems as boost should be roughly the same at both points, I think turbulence plays a small part but don't remember. Plug one up if possible I guess? Or run it how it is......
  11. Have you put it on a dyno? With a pod, exhaust, fmic, fuel pump, splitfires, 8psi mine only made 140rwkw. They hit r&r really bad when they see unexpected airflow (more boost) It probably won't be making near 200rwkw without a tune. What wheels/tyres are you running?
  12. Looks almost like they tee'd off there to hook up a gauge to it? Can't think of any other reason why you would want to tee there?
  13. Lol that's awesome. I'd like to experience anti-lag. Just not in my car lol, I think your in the same boat as me, turbo is responsive so anti lag isn't really needed. I think I saw somewhere that you had an nitrous sprayer for your intercooler Phil? If so what brand is it, I'm looking into (possibly) having some sort of cold gas spray for my cooler (NO2 or CO2)
  14. Honestly. Just fork out for an RB25DET You could do an RB25/30 hybrid but this can send you broke. You should be able to pick up an r33 half cut for $4000-$5000 (although I haven't looked at half cuts for a while) and you will have a gearbox and motor and can probably sell some of the other parts to make a bit of money back
  15. Yes that is right. Low beam and high beam work independently of each other. Theres a tutorial here somewhere that tells you how to make them both work with high beam but As for your locking problem.... Do you mean the door lock tab in the trim moves as if to indicate it's locked but the door still opens? If so pull the latch off and see if everythings all good in there
  16. +1 for it being tune related. At 5000rpm a valve hitting the piston is not going to end well. Think about human reaction time, it would have hit the piston at least 10 times at those engine speeds before he backed off. If the car drives fine now and es checked everything I don't think this is your problem
  17. Plenty of second hand power fc's floating around. Plenty on here in the classified section for that matter Id choose a power fc over the 2 other options you mentioned. But have you considered a VIPEC?
  18. Blue horizon is pretty good cause it's about 5min walk out of airlie. And you get an undercover parking space with your room I'm pretty sure
  19. Depends if your on a budget or not Blue Horizon is one of the nicer ones, at not to bad a price Or you can go classy and stay at peppers or you can go cheap as and stay at wanderers If anyones looking at accom, should post up what you find here. Being easter weekend It may not be cheap.... or available very long
  20. Strange..... Ive run Both datalogit and FC-Hako on my brand new (3 week old) laptop with windows 7 64-bit. Had some issues with FC-Hako at the start but worked with the creater to help him develop a firmware that would work A VIPEC would be a better ECU for my car. But I cant really fault the Power-FC, It was cheap as well (I got a really good deal on mine). Is it the tuning of the Power-FC that makes it a pain Ben? Or are you just interested in all the extra feautures of the VIPEC overe the Power-FC's more basic setup? VIPEC will be sweet in your car anyway, Anti-Lag launches anyone?
  21. Probably just the design of your pod. I wouldn't be to concerned
  22. Yeah pull the box out and have a look. As said above when they start going they go pretty quick. My stock clutch continued to get worse when I drove like a grandma to conserve it, if your mate was thrashing it then for sure it could have gone much quicker Don't let people drive it unless you know there not gonna treat it like shit
  23. Road tune is done. Will just have to see the torque curve and see where it needs touching up etc. So will purely be a power run, hopefully won't take to long. They seem to be hell busy lately there but
  24. Latest tune was done by Brock (used to work at rdp... Think you know the one anyway, he's been a close friend of mine for quite a few years now) I may be moving to brisbane sometime so wanted him to get a feel for my car (he lives there now), and he enjoys the practice with fc-edit as well so we have a pretty good deal with each other. Reality is I would like to eventually just do it all myself, easier, cheaper and noone to blame if something goes wrong BTW: I've done some experimenting with FC-Hako, it's a good cheap alternative to the datalogit if you have the software already I'll be posting up some Results when it gets it's first dyno, won't be at the target yet most likely but it's a work in progress ATM as I decide my next step. Details on what I've got will be posted to when I get a power figure (even though some of this may be obvious already)
  25. iPhone is win on night shift..... Might ring adrenaline soon, need to get a power run done to see where my cars at
