Amec The ET Streets 255/50/16's are ok on a 8" rim? With regards to the RE55's. Hows the wear/traction compare between the soft and medium compound? Worth going the soft or do they just chew out mega quick yet only offer a little improvement in grip? Thanks bud.

Hey ppls, I bought a gtr style center for my R32 a little while back s/h from a wrecker. Dropped it in; was a tad loose so I had it shimmed up. Dropped it back in the car still wasn't 100% but noticeably better especially in the wet. Recently the car made 268rwkw and now after a few accelerations its now all of a sudden gone single wheeling when rolling on the throttle from 80km/h in fourth. So.... Are they worth while rebuilding and setting it up real tight or should I cut my losses and outlay 1k :S for an aftermarket? I remember R31Nismoid had his CLSD rebuild and apparently dropped more clutches in it? Wouldn't know exactly what they did? If they used genuine nissan clutches or had them made up custom?

The EVO's sound horn with a nice exhaust for a 4banger. Appear to have a lot of mid range grunt. What sort of power do they make on the std turbo with the usual ecu, exhaust and boost? The STI's go well but seem to lack the top end compared to our lines. I think I'd still be inclined to go the GTR.

When I've had my head at the workshop both times they bled the lifters. I believe it just cleans them up a little; removes old oil etc. Ash. I wonder what the reasoning behind the spec sheet of your cams also stating the lifters must be bled? :S

Whats with this though? Oil pressure vary's considerably while giving it a full rev. 40-20psi can't be too good at the upper rpm's. :S

Bottom end problems. Get another gauge on it to be sure.

If the aftermarket guage is reading similar to the std guage then its safe to say the motor has problems.

Darren- This is the reason for the new actuator? Looks almost like a bit arsed boost spike then ebc then over compensates to correct and then off it goes from there.

Did it have an alarm? Just curious how cluey these little thieves are.

30psi. :S Not on pump fuel or without water injection. Boost is a restriction to airflow. You need to get the motor breathing well. If you cant get it out the only way to get more in is by pushing up the boost. The GT35r is good for up to around 400rwkw. If the build is well thought out. Around 20psi on pump and no need for WI. If you simply bolt it on with a pair of cams don't expect to push much past 330rwkw. Cams, plenum, exh. manifold are all needed.

Just wait it out. Its the name of the game when it comes to nengun. Expect ~1-1.5months wait for your item. If its a pfc or something apexi make expect a 2-3month wait.

Yes. With peak landing at 6000rpm I'm fairly happy with that so first up is a set of cams and then exh manifold and WI. BUT.. I am running the GT3076 so it will most likely run out of air. They have pushed 320rwkw ish before so with WI I'd hope I could squeeze another 30rwkw out of it. Surprisingly no boost creep BUT I do have next to no preload placed on the actuator to make use of all its travel. As a result the actuator is super lazy but it still makes good power in the early rpms despite. With the boost controller on it with my current tyre setup third gear was useless from 60km/h. :S So some work in that department also.
