  1. by the way you can buy 2 entire headlights brand new from nissan for 2k. I think the globes are about $300 each max.
  2. There's a good chance your car doesn't have Xenons in it. Did you import it yourself or buy it from a dealer? Cars coming in these days have to have the xenons replaced with halogens during compliance.
  3. You should enclose pod filters anyway to keep from sucking in hot engine bay air.
  4. Three brands come to mind: - Mongoose - Black Widow - Brant Costs are about $450 - $800 installed depending on what features you get.
  5. Like I said Discpads.com.au have good prices for all DBA products.
  6. One thing to note is that much larger boards are still using a standard forum interface for their forsale sections and have done so for a long time and they are going strong. I think SAU forsale was/is a thriving marketplace for second hand import parts at great prices but if its not being used or if people are unhappy with the way it works and less people read it then we may start to lose a really good part of the forums. I myself have bought and sold a ton of stuff on here without any issues! The peak of SAU trading (imho) was when we had the regular for-sale forum and trader ratings in our profile. If we work on that trader ratings thing and have someone to moderate the feedback (i'll even volunteer ) we could have a really effective trading system.
  7. I bought slotted DBA 4000's for my GTR for 231 each. $260 is too much mate, call Discpads.com.au
  8. I think the new classifieds are clunky and the old system fit in a lot better with the forums and the way things are done here. I know chatting is against the rules in the For sale forums but some feedback/open questions are often good. If it aint broke dont fix it i say. :D
  9. The stock Skyline boost guage in an R33 reads in mmHg (millimetres of mercury)
  10. Yeah mine has the carbon rear-diffuser and electronic rear diff as well. Don't know if either of them changed for the V2. GTR bonnets are aluminium until the V-SpecII which is carbon fibre. The M-Spec goes back to aluminium but probably had a CF option.
  11. Does the VSpecII come with a standard oil cooler? What brand cat are you thinking?
  12. couldnt agree more!
  13. Like you said, there probably isn't one then.
  14. They come up occasionally on the forums and sell for about $100 a pair.
  15. The GTR has one. It worked in co-ordination with a small chip inside the key. Look at the GT-t key, does it have a red insert in the top?
  16. Are you saying you dont plan on fitting at least a 3 point immobiliser alarm anyway? The inbuilt immobiliser (if it exists on the GT-t - not sure) does not count anyway because the Just Cars clause states that it must be an "Australian standard 2 point immobiliser". The inbuilt system has not submitted to meet Australian standards.
  17. I have a spare set of stock front brake pads for any R34 GTR ~ 1/99 onward for sale if anyone needs them. Almost full meat left. $250 (save $750 ) They are currently just sitting around at home as I bought them in case i needed them for compliance.
  18. I would get one, I dont know who sells them here though?
  19. $600 isn't that expensive. If you were to buy a Japanese cat in Japan from say Yahoo auctions you would be paying these prices: Genuine Nismo cat: ~ 63,000 yen - $785 + postage + duty + GST + agents fees Apexi super cat: ~ 53500 yen - $666 + postage + duty + GST + agents fees SARD cat: ~44900 yen - $559 + postage + duty + GST + agents fees So $600 for a proper cat doesnt seem so expensive to me.
  20. kabab: He had access to an R34 GTR to nick parts off for compliance He said that above somewhere. Nice ride mate, i was at Advan performance the other day and the fellas were saying very nice things about it.
  21. R32 GTR is listed on Redbook in 1991. http://www.redbook.com.au/vehiclesearch/pr...=NISS91ER&veh=y
  22. I bought some Nismo R34 eyelids and will scan them in when they arrive - you might be able to make up some copies for R34 guys.
  23. 600 is actually pretty cheap considering it is a real hi-flow cat and not a tarted up catco. Have you got a picture of it at all? Whereabouts did you get it installed?
  24. There's a thread on here also where there some guy in Melbourne getting the same exhaust I have for $910. Which is just under what i paid but I dont know the specifics.
  25. The tip does not trumpet at all. It looks pretty much identical to the Apexi N1. It costs $1065 retail at Advan but yeah you might be able to get some discounts. I paid less than that.
