  1. +1 will be fine. if it was blocked pressure would drop as its pre pump not post pump.
  2. it would only use the o2 sensor and only under light load. the way the gtr's are set up you cant use the afm's to adjust cylinders. still pretty advanced fueling for an ecu that was designed in 88-89
  3. check the cranking fuel tables if you have access to the software and cable.
  4. if you use e85 you could safely run more boost as the EGTs would be a lot lower, meaning a lot less stress on the turbine wheel.
  5. so does anyone know what sort of compression one would get with a standard neo head on a standard 30e block. 33 25 head gives ~ 8.3:1 with ~62cc combustion chambers and according to the 30det guide neos have a 50-51cc combustion chamber. i know its not the correct way to figure it out but using that it looks like you'd get just over 10:1?
  6. theres as gay as aids, then theres as gay as aids and herpes, then theres a screamer pipe, then theres a screamer pipe on an internal gate turbo and finally rb20s....
  7. lean mixtures wont always induce knock, timing has a much bigger effect.
  8. why do you need to remove the dowel?
  9. yep, too much heat will kill a sensor pretty quickly
  10. best realistic spot is in the standard o2 position
  11. i have one sitting outside i can take pics of. just of the chamber?
  12. its the turbo water feed banjo bolt. you'll usually get away with just 1 washer. i think i have a few lying on the pavement in my backyard if you really want one....
  13. pretty sure myne were the tomei ones too and closed up a fair bit
  14. yer the only time you have to limit it to 6-7psi is with the standard vlt ecu and high comp. once you get a tune you can throw just as much at it as a 25/26/30det
  15. just like all the other mobs they buy base 91 from BP then add their own additives to make 95 and 98.
  16. would also been keen on the bulk buy when i get my motor running, hopefully 5W50 will be alright.
  17. 99% of the time USPS tracking doesnt work, by the time the updates along its journey come up on the net you've already had the package for 3 weeks.... their priority mail isnt all that fast either.
  18. the ecu interpolates so every cells affects the 3-8 cells around it aswell. ignoring load, if you have a cell at 2000rpm and your doing exactly 2000rpm it'll take all its values from that cell, if your next cell is at 2400 and your doing 2200 it'll take half from each. likewise if your doing 2100, it'll take 3/4 of the 2000rpm cell and 1/4 of the 2400rpm cell. no idea why the map skips 2800, does it have an extra cell up top instead?
  19. dont quote me on this but i think they changed production location/method to something cheaper a few years ago and thats when they started having problems. all the reviews on the net were done a long time ago when innovate probably were the best.
  20. yer if it only happens cold you can rule out o2. is it cycling in and out of fuel cut? or is it a different kind of surging?
  21. also had 2 lc-1s die, seam to have turned to rubbish in the last few years.
  22. yer inflated to roughly give flywheel ps. some people just prefer it that way....
  23. it sounds like your maps tuned leaner than 15:1 which will cause cycling problems with a power fc and o2 feedback. basically with o2 feedback turned on and a lean map it'll inject off your base map, read lean from the o2, drop fuel in until it reaches stoich then lean back out to the map again. if its tuned properly just turn o2 feedback off, you can get better economy without it. or the other option is to use your wideband to simulate a narrowband but change the values so the ecu sees stoich around the same AFR's you've tuned for (eg 15.5:1). as for the o2 feedback setting your correct, it simply sets the correction figure limit for using o2 feedback, meaning any cells lower than this number will use o2 feedback (under the right cruise conditions) and any cells higher will ignore it completely. I usually just set it to around whatever figures are on the map in the area where you start going from cruise to light boost, usually around 14:1
  24. meh, im using the supercheap blue hose on myne, has held up fine so far. run the biggest gap you can without misfire, start with 1.1mm and see how it goes. so get some bcpr7es-11
