  1. yer hook it up to the standard o2 sensor signal wire. in standard form 1v is rich, 0 is lean and .5v is stoich. its still a good idea to tune it properly around cruise though as the narrowband is only used under constant throttle and having a big difference between the tuned afr and stoich (or whatever you trick the pfc into being stoich) will result in a bit of surging while cruising.
  2. yep, needs atleast another 15-20 degrees under light load.
  3. if its a standard ecu just fill up with 91, 98 is a waste of money anyway
  4. yer everyone should just use t62s because anything less is just too small and weak
  5. checked the bores for round? what orientation does the cp guide say to use?
  6. you can use any of the garrett gt30 housings then
  7. yer remove the housing and measure the widest point. if your gonna swap it you need to pull it off anyway
  8. yer the solenoid blocks the return and therefore pressurises everything after the cam and before the solenoid, which includes the internals of the cam gear.
  9. you need to measure your turbine wheel to see if it has a 60mm turbine or a smaller cropped turbine. if its 60mm then go to mtq and buy a .82 garrett housing to suit a gt30 and sell/return your current housing. with a .82 IW housing i'd expect to see 1bar of boost around 3800-4000rpm on a mild rb25
  10. if your not running vct just leave the solenoid in there unplugged. or a short bolt if you have one in the right thread, dont block up the oil gallery though as it feeds the front cam journal aswell as the vct
  11. yep just a filter for the unit itself
  12. 1mm or 1.1mm iirc
  13. you can install the gauge anywhere before the fuel reg, so yes
  14. either elongate holes as said or bend the studs if its only a tiny bit. dont put too much force on them though as you'll severely weaken them
  15. just jap are handy for little bits and pieces
  16. 36psi would be roughly what you'd see at idle with the vac line hooked up. BASE pressure (0 vacuum) is 43psi on all twin cam RB's, always set it with the vac line removed
  17. yer, base pressure is with 0 vacuum/boost so set it with the car off then check it with the car running and vacuum hose removed. set it to 43psi for now then when its on the dyno getting tuned you can raise it as required
  18. they all do it. dont think you can change it, but its been a while since i looked
  19. the standard reg is at the front (cyl 1) of the rail. the other thing is a damper. so basically you want the reg in the return line. standard base pressure is 43psi iirc
  20. yer the cheap ones are very unreliable. but the one supplied with datalogit is decent, works perfectly 99% of the time for me with several different tuning programs and ecus
  21. cheapest option would be to buy a decent serial to usb converter like the one that comes with datalogit
  22. what ecu?
  23. basically it results in this
  24. careful with ebay, its probably made in china. not all boost is the same, chinese air is inferior to japanese air
