  2. you let your old lady give you advice on engine rebuilds? wtf?
  3. its closer than that here, just costs $3/L and has to be pumped by hand....
  4. checked the map sensor readings to see if they're normal? as said, check the plugs aswell if you havent since last time it ran
  5. with the money you save from doing these instead of no limits you could buy your own lap timer
  6. well i did sort of, if you call that driving you grandpa.... you were leaving as i was walking into the carpark
  7. nismo spray pattern is fine as said. they also make 740s for rb25, not just 555s
  8. spotted what i think was bubba in the open air carpark on riverside drive this avo
  9. as i explained before the temps are at different places.
  10. 4 x 13B anyone? does that mean 4 times as many apex seals to replace every 2 weeks
  11. your getting mixxed up. the ecu simply reads the afm voltage and uses this to determine load and therefore the correct amount of fuel and timing. all nissan AFM's max out at 5.1v, but they dont flow the same amount of air at 5.1v. the standard rb25 afm's hit 5.1v at around 200-240rwkw, depending on the car, and run out of resolution, the car can still make more power but having the afm maxxed out makes tuning above that rough and dangerous. a z32 afm is simply calibrated differently and flows more air before maxxing out, which allows the ecu to accurately measure load up to a higher power level. the afm does not max out at the same point as the ecu's load cells, in the power fc example i gave the standard afm would max out around p15 or p16, just over half the load of the last load point of the map. the ecu uses the afm to determine load then uses the map (load vs rpm) to determine fuel and timing, they're seperate things.
  12. if you set up the power fc to suit yes you would have more accuracy with a standard afm, but you'd be lucky to notice any difference. the afm voltage and power fc load points arent linear either, its exponential. for example, on the power fc base map for a rb25 the last load point (p20) is double p15 and nearly 4 times p10. its set up this way to give more accurate tuning under light load. also you can adjust the load points to suit but the base settings (which almost everyone uses until they max them) arent scaled to suit the standard afm, they suit up to and over 300rwkw without any resolution problems. as for injectors the only reason you lose fine tuning is if the injectors cant atomize properly at idle and low load or if the ecu/injector drivers arent capable of opening them for short periods with enough accuracy. with a good ecu and decent injectors (id2000s for example) you can have the car idling at the same AFR's and with the same quality as standard injectors.
  13. you do realise theres a BIG different between petrol and diesel yer? because running petrol would be kinda gay, diesel not so gay
  14. but everyone already knew that? and as said you didnt gain 17kw just from changing afm's....
  15. use whatever mounts suit the car, so r33 in your case and re drill the holes as shown
  16. yer, area still isnt exact due to other infuences but its close enough as a rough guide. single 1.5mm flows around 10% more than 2 x 1mm
  17. 1.5mm feed flows around 80% more oil than a 1.1mm feed, its a much bigger difference that you think
  18. FPR has to be on the return side unless your running a returnless system in which case you can T off the feed line and have the reg going directly back to the fuel tank. but for a basic setup leave it as per standard
  19. apparently they moved to a southern suburb, cant remember where though. tried google?
  20. 30s are top feed as bubba said edit: R33 25 are the only side feed RB's, neo are top feed. redtop rb20 injectors are identical to VLT
  21. basically if its a gt30 that bolts up to the same dump pipe as a standard turbo its no good
  22. try honing it and see how it turns out then go from there
  23. haveyoubeentypingaslongasyouvebeendriving?
  24. i tend not to do man dates
