  1. Joel last summer when i had my front mount on during a very hot day it would start to get hot when ideling for a long time or by putting stress on the motor. At the moment i am fitting my new turbo and a even thicker frontmount so i was worried about the cooling. I have given the block a good flush and i will replace the thermostat, the radiator had stuffed top tank so the radiator place found a slightly thicker one (about 8mm) for about 300new so i will be using that with thermo fans. I will let you know how it goes but the next step is a pwr 38mm one which costs $650 + GST at trade price so i did not want to get one of them.
  2. $1600, in execellent condition
  3. To get 250rwkw you should only need a full exhaust from the turbos back, a decent air filter, 15psi boost, a fuel pump (not sure) and a good tune. Some adjustable cam gears would probably be the go as well.
  4. I got my car from there and my old man got his 34 there ( traded his white auto 33 which they still have over 12 months later). They are pretty decent but they can still have some adverage cars live everyone. They could probably be takled down a couple of grand as there prices are not that low.
  5. 32's dont have any side indicators until compliance so they usually put VT ones on.
  6. I was considering getting some of those tyres but the cost to the kms makes them expensive. Any ideas on how much 225/50/16 cost. Dunlop FM901 seem to be the best alternative for a daily driver.
  7. Ill tell you in about a month.
  8. I have a T04e that has a .6 comp and exhaust housing. The one you have is huge and would be of no benifit because the rb20 does need to flo huge amounts of exhaust gassas. Having a small exhaust housing with a bigger comp housing will give different results but would prove to be benneficial and probably not affect your top end.
  9. just go but a test light, will allow you to find live wire when lights are on, only cost about $5
  10. Dont worry too much about the no of kms, many imports that say 50,000 have done many more. Look at the condition of the pedals, steering wheel, gear knob. and look under the car for damage. Id rather buy a clean car with high kays than a low km car that looks a bit rough, think of the number of 2 y/o VTs that have done over 300,000.

    Clutch

Adelaide Clutch services, they have many different types, if you are going to have a few mods done get a heavy duty pressure plate with a cushioned ceramic clutch plate, easy to drive with and bites well, about $500 all up.
  12. a couple of times the dash lights went of when i was driving, i just switched the lights off and back on again and they worked. The headlights still worked though, so i have NFI what was going on, only happened twiced though.
  13. I have a remote filter kit and cooler im going to fit soon as well. Autobarn mile end or outlaw speed shop will be able to help, should only be about $60 (guessing as i got everything for $200 second hand).
  14. I can email you a pic of them on the car. Check the speddy website www.speedywheels.com.au
  15. If anyone has some decent 16 x 8 wheels and wants some 17's we could work out somerthing, the only reason i want to try and sell my wheels is to get something i can put sticky tyres on that dont cost heaps.
  16. I have a set of speedy Atix-5 wheels for sale. They are 17 x 8 with 2 v/good tyres and 2 good tyres. They will fit on GTST skylines and probably other cars. They are a copy of the AVS model 5 wheel in a shiny silver colour. Looking for $1800 but open to offers.
  17. Does this one still just plug into the lighter socket, what are the main functions.
  18. thats the one, your turbo needs something like that for your dump pipe, there are two parts, the clamp and the bit you have to weld to the pipe.
  19. Do you think the stock regulator will be ok to use with 550cc injectors and a 044 pump. The injectors will have plent of spare duty cycle so it should be ok im thinking, wanting about 240rwkw.
  20. sound good, when is the next meet at AIR and will you be ready. Maybe a run with Keir, two 9 second GTR's at the same time:)
  21. give me a month and i will have pics of my to4e on my car. Your turbo looks like it needs a special clamp to be welded to the dump pipe as there are no studs sticking out like on most turbos. Go see a turbo retailer and they should have somthing.
  22. Sold, sent you a PM
  23. I was in their shop the other day and they seem like pretty good guys, and the have plenty of trick bits for sale. Edit: that where i got my turbo from but they have put their prices up a bit now.
  24. im very interested but would need it before Christmas, how much are we looking at with a plug.
  25. The rear suspension parts are basically the same between all 32's, 33's, s13 etc and once you start modifying things (shocks springs etc) the handling characteristics change. The skylines have better front sus set up with double wishbone setup which is supposed to be better than the setup in the silvias. The brakes on the lines are a step above the s13's and these are all things the need to be considered. When they were made the s13 were a cheap preformance car made for as little as possibe (look at the interior) while the skyline was a more expensive luxury performance car. Both have similar performance possibilities but the s13 would need more spent on it to match a skyline in all areas.
