  1. I'm dreaming of the day you trim down the turbine to something under 80.... I think that would work better for response again. The sl2 wheel is 61mm with a mid 70s trim. You saw the response on that vs your ss2 when they were running the same compressor... Just do eeeet
  2. Is the cam swap a proven drop in upgrade or are you somewhat of a guinea pig working on fair assumptions? Coz if the later I would assume the physical cam timing needs to be redialed...
  3. lol 'ID style'
  4. IBTL Read the hypergear thread, buy one of his turbos. End>
  5. First I have heard for ID failures also....... Across many interwebs..
  6. Considering the block is taller as said above you should be OK, bit of a shave on the engine mount at most. A 3040 and 3540 are identical in packaging size so the above feedback is entirely relevant.
  7. I think it has got to be your cam timing. For the mod list I would ideally want a 3" cooler with 2.5" pipes on hot side and full 3" on cold. But the existing pipes shouldnt hold it back what its missing.. Havent you tried dialing these yet?
  8. Stao please make a small trim turbine G3......... Just try.
  9. I processed a file for a customer named Amandeep yesterday. He was a man deep in sorrow I tell you. Denied his claim.
  10. Yep I thought 115 for the PU highflow was good too. I wonder if turbine trapping efficiency plays a part..
  11. If the original wiring is tarnished it WILL have higher resistance over it and current draw for the coils will be hampered. I'm not sure what sort of resistance you will be looking for but you can definitely test it.
  12. the highflow did better than the G3s first try...
  13. Don't quote me on the colour is all, I remember my SR was white but the colour codes for wiring can be different across models. Just use the test light like I said and it will be the only one. Don't forget to use a high amperage relay triggered by the original 12v wire.
  14. It will be the only wire with 12v at the main 6 pin plug, when you test it with a test light. Generally there will be a white wire to every coil, daisy chained along, which will be 12v. Running it straight to the batter will be fine, all that will do is aid in fixing perished wiring. If there isnt heaps of resistance across that circuit or its not showing low voltage I wouldn't bother.
  15. lol ^ Ive never had that problem to be honest... but yeah. I think they also sell a high mount kit, you need to look through or possibly email him and tell him what turbo you have, what motor and how its going to be mounted. I'm sure he will sell you the right kit from there.
  16. From what I have found online a TC06 will be 12 blade and 64mm. Smaller than a normal TD06. That info may not be accurate though.. The TC06 turbine blades have an obvious cup shape to them.. Its not what were used to seeing in terms of turbine aero. Very 80s.
  17. That's very odd. It may be something like a TC turbine or similar. Can you get me the Inducer and Exducer measurements, along with a blade count? I will have a look and see what it marry's up against.
  18. the first link is an RB specific kit whilst the second one is generic. the second one comes with short water lines and hose barbs so you can hook it up with rubber hose - poop. buy the first one.
  19. So what turbo is it?
  20. LOL HOLY CRAP never heard anything so funny.. It never occurred to me and its been right under my nose for 27 years.... For anyone not following, 'Katse Fai Cota' means 'Sit down and eat chicken' in Greek.
  21. If you have a read of the hypergear thread the above shown return flow is good for about 250kw until it encounters the same issue. I think 1 or 2 members have achieved more with top notch jap branded kits... but that are more or less one off cases. Go the conventional route and ditch the headache and question out of your mind!
  22. its not limiting the amount of boost it can make, its limiting the amount of boost that you can effectively reach because the knock threshold turns to shit. that intercooler would be by far the worst possible option you can have. IMHO it would hold back power to a point close to the stock side mount and would also harm spool. CHANGE IT AND THEN KILL IT WITH FIRE.
  23. Roy I'm sure you are aware but: TD06SL2 = 61mm TD06S = 65mm TD06SH = 67mm So its no surprise your regular TD06S doesn't fit the T67 housing but is too small for the TD06SH........... Its meant to be. Unless I am missing something the above is your answer. In terms of flow the TD06SH > TD06SL2 > TD06S. I hope that helps..
