  1. 9.0:1 minimum even on petrol. Evo 9's are 8.8:1 R35 is 9.0:1 RB25 is 9.0:1 9.0:1 - 9.5:1 would be nice is predominately on E85. You are going to flex it so the 98ish map(s) can be relaxed.
  2. Why such low compression if you're using E85 all the time?
  3. Your car should run 7's then.
  4. My OS 5 speed is getting rebuilt ATM. Interested? Told ya so .
  5. No mate. It isn't at a shop. Micko is doing the fab work so it;s just a case of hipping away at it when we can. With any luck, Hypertune may take the car in this week for the intake piping and cooler fitment.
  6. R33 GTS has the RB20E - SOHC head, good for 100kw or so. R33 GTS25 has the RB25DE, 147kw in type S form. 33 single cam, non turbo rb20. Yucky!
  7. .Talk to mick and hypertune!
  8. Twin turbo pipe mod should be done regardless.
  9. It's got nothing to do with track work. For what it's worth you'd be better modifying the two pipes that bolt to the compressor housing instead of the snorkel. The snorkel from the guard to the airbox, has that been opened up?
  10. I'm with Scotty here. Buy a front diff instead.
  11. What's done to the head apart from drop in cams?
  12. 4WD should be installed by now. They bought a new one.
  13. You do need to find a Non V Spec rear housing. From memory there are no dash lights that come up by doing it. Bloody v spec. Good in theory, Rubbish in real world!
  14. What mph have you trapped. It would have to be north of 137 mph!
  15. 1700's Pete. Thanks mate. Maybe drill the second set of injector bosses out? Haha
  16. For the sake of an update... An update. Gates are on. Gate waste pipes are done for the most part. I put an 18.85 psi Spring combination in, mostly due to peer pressure (looking at you Micko)!! I was thinking 17.45. Hypertune are doing some coolers on an R35 ATM and should be done hopefully next week. When ever it's done, I'm going in. That will be to fit up the cooler (no stock brackets line up anymore) and turbo to plenum piping done. Wiggins clamps (blown cooler pipes will be a distant memory) will be used on all joins apart from where it meets the manifold. I am not pulling that Nismo plenum off in the car. It's 15 times more painful to pull off than a stock one. If ever the motor is out, I'll put one on then. Surge tank design is pretty much confirmed. Really, the only thing missing from the puzzle is injectors but with the dollar, I'm putting off that purchase till when I need them. The other week Reaper was around with his 8374 snailed NUR. It should go damn well on the stroker! Also, another mate is putting one on a 3.0 so it should make for a decent comparison.
  17. http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/434511-rb34-24u-rb26-800cc-open-deck-engines-v3/page-12#entry7671967 3.15 is old news. 3.4/6466 is where Ian is now.
  18. Talking to RAMS cylinder heads last year, anything over 1.0 mm OS, you need to replace the seats for larger ones. 1.0 mm you can recur the factory ones.
  19. Rightio, I have had the full effort NAPREC "RB26 drag kit" + the "RB26 drag combustion chamber kit" done to my head which was ported by HKS Japan. I chose to only take out the intake squish pad. Whats in the head is listed below; - NAPREC Big valve - combination valve guide https://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&hl=en&prev=search&rurl=translate.google.com.au&sl=ja&u=http://www.naprec.co.jp/product/p004&usg=ALkJrhhLdKu4fyLlk8pZTewN2weuv0jj9A - heat-resistant sintered sheet ring - the cam cap stud bolt , - valve guide replacement - sheet ring replacement - the race for the seat cut (protruding alignment) - water jacket air vent hole processing - oversize jacket plug-in processing - 1.0 surface Labs until mm A custom set of cams were made using an Alfa Romeo Naturally Aspirated lobe of all things that measured 260 @ 10.85 mm with a very agro ramp rate. The HKS step 2 springs valve floated with anything more than 19 psi/5500 RPM from memory. They got ripped out and replaced with supertech single springs. Not an issue so far. Below is the final result using a 2.8L/-5/E85/9.0:1 comp combo. Turbo's are well and truly finished. What is interesting was at 19 psi (where the gates were set) it went 441 KW. How much of that was down to the valve size itself, who knows. The -5's are coming off and a single 8374/1.05 is taking its place. I hope this helps.
