  1. It shouldn't last that long Having said that, I've stored E85 in just jerries for 12 months (while he engine was getting built), whacked it in the car and tuned on it. No issues at all!
  2. This! Who cares how much it is, if you're worried about fuel consumption with a drunk RB for daily duties, you really need to think about it and look at buying a small daily. United might be taking the piss a bit with their 107 "race blend"... Meh. Put an ethanol sensor and a half decent ecu in the car. Run the car on 98 and when you want to be a clown/trackday fill it up with ethanol. It really isn't that hard.
  3. You should give Racepace a call and ask them what the think about type b's. I'll give you a hint, they got ripped out, sold off and went back to stock. What looks impressive on a dyno doesn't always show what's going on actually driving the car.
  4. ^^^ e flex tune (ie the Caltex stuff) or a full flex tune? Two very different things! Seeing that it's a PFC, it will be one map not the 5-6 maps with a sensor needed for a "flex tune".
  5. What was wrong with the kit?
  6. Stock diff or aftermarket? Please tell you you put a proper front diff in it!!!!
  7. The coppermix isn't slipping, it's just nicer under the foot. The clutch can't help the nugget 2.6 unfortunately.
  8. Wouldn't have changed. 2.6 will always need rpm with that setup.
  9. Amazing box but straight cut. Would get very annoying, very quickly. With the cars still being used on the street mostly, it's a no go.
  10. Mega effort to get that prick back in by yourself. The transfer case ruins your life! Bets on how long this one lasts?? 3 track days!
  11. No shop is going to warrant anything they didn't do.
  12. Why make if any harder than it has to? Just put an appropriate sized exhaust on it and everything will be happier.
  13. 3 inch for 400? Errr... Golf ball and garden hose.
  14. On petrol? As said earlier, you're really boost limited on 98, WHICH HE IS ON ATM! Give the bloke a chance to get it drunk and turn the wick up. I can't see a smaller turbo on 98 getting close to the 400 mark. Far too many guys just look at the peak number. I'm sure if guys got in it and drove the thing they would get out pretty impressed. Midrange grunt > topend. Keep the top end for pissing in your mates pockets in the pub.
  15. I had a look at that work of art. I'd love to see a back to back with that setup! You'd need to port the balance tube to match the big dick throttles. No point having a "hump" there.
  16. It was done... Until the gearbox died
  17. Lol You guys can eat a big black one! Apparently the gearbox will be delivered to Import Monsters warehouse in japan.... Then 4 weeks on a boat. In total it will be 7 months waiting for a gearbox. Totally ridiculous. There is a lead time of 6 months on their bottom ends... Which would probably be 12 going off their gearbox efforts!!!!
  18. I have a few guys interested in my engine so it needs to go complete. I'd like to retain the GT block but it's will just complicate things and make it all soooo much more expensive.
  19. How long did that take???? Good effort!
