  1. Very infrequently, SAU F/S, Import Monster, Just Jap and OTR have had them Make your acquaintance with them if you haven't already! Rare enough are 18x9.5 More rare are 18x10.5 Rarer still are 19x10.5
  2. This lady knows how to go shopping!
  3. Resourceful!
  4. Looks like a beautiful example Russell! We have the last of the E39s in the 2003 530i Not as potent as yours but it (pretty much) kept up with an R33 GT-R all the way up Macquarie Pass last weekend. They're very chuckable through twisties with lightened aluminium suspension arms.
  5. Many thanks Michael. As my wife says, "You don't smoke & you don't drink much", so... I think it's just a "male" thing to wake up thinking - ummm, I'll just change 'this' to-day; or I think I'll polish 'this' to-day hehe... By the way, these two cars will be paired together for a spread in Performance Imports mag - issue #161
  6. Anyone who's been "spotted" on this thread and has had to use it as an alibi (of innocence)... should fess up here right now!!! jk
  7. Glad to be able to help Anthony. Is the Racepace decat a shiny thing? Flange necks aren't constricting? Pics to [email protected] pls?
  8. Anthony, 1) runkos is after a stock cat back exhaust for his R34 GT-R. Shouldn't be any complaint against Nismo. 2) God_speed might swap his new 20" GT-Cs with the correct face for a R34 GT-R in exchange for the TE37 SLs I think I've passed my memory test for now.
  9. Oh well, if you can't beat 'em... lol
  10. AUTO WEST PAINT SUPPLIES 9/61 Regentville Rd Penrith 47213301 Probably in the "VHT" range. Rated at 288 degrees C Solvent Resistant
  11. JOIN THESE DOTS! * Our state government is very focused on revenue raising * Free money for little outlay comes from speeding fines * Police are staking out spots they've not frequented before * Hundreds more mobile speed cameras are about to activate * Stay within the speed limit and pay attention Q. How do I know this? A1. I belong to 3 car clubs, and it's come to my attention that 3 senior members have lost their licences in the past 3 days - all through strategically placed lidar guns. A2. A HWP officer goes to my church Do not ask me who these 3 people are. That's not the point. Just... JOIN THE DAMN DOTS!
  12. You won't swap me for my Cube, so may I urge you to contact SAU Member DoLphiN who is likely to be still after a VS2.
  13. Motion shots look so dramatic. Congrats to Buildn & Ali
  14. I have absolutely no idea why these are still for sale.
  15. I wonder if different branches might be franchises. I know that if I were an expert who owned a Pedders franchise, I'd be worried about any fly-by-nighters or even apprentices who could bring the name into disrepute. I believe that the head of the Penrith branch does good work + he's on the committee of the Lower Blue Mtns Chrstian Car Club (associated in turn with the Nissan Sports Car Club).
  16. Or you could buy some used D2s Genelle and so help Scott out of his misery!
  17. I'd still keep them + Pics of them on your car + record of your wheel alignment (from your wheel alignment technician) > Dept Fair Trading. If you do get compensated, at least there's no bad taste left in your mouth.
  18. What did you hire? A R33 GT-R I hear, can get you across Lake Wakatipu.
  19. I find it absolutely amazing at what my son Mark has in Snap Ons - top shelf only shown. Other rare bits on other shelves - and he took care of his tools - not 'tired' - never thrown around. Used to be a BMW, Subaru, VW mechanic.
  20. It'll be nice to see you back on the road at some stage Vik in a really nice GT-R.
  21. RS & Ian, You're in the "reserves" list. Cross your fingers.
  22. * Sometimes the rail is irreparable > replacement of the rail OR the car can't be blue slipped * Sometimes the section can be boxed > welded * Sometimes a hole can be drilled through the rail > threaded > pulled down
  23. Certain tyre places score bulk buys through 'parallel buying'. For example, Tempe Tyres often have good deals on Kumho or Continental. Taleb and Tempe both buy massive quantities to furnish other tyre shops (who source their tyres through them). NTW themselves deal only with retailers and don't have any of their own outlets. The rectangular block on the side of each tyre tells you the #week#year as a 4 digit number. So, if you see the number 3209 in the little rectangle, the tyre was made in the 32nd week of 2009.
