  1. I've already been humbled by the good fortune that this car left Japan without the exporters knowing that it's an N1 > but Iron Chef knew what it was > JapLink Motors at the time was overcommitted with stock > regarded me as someone worthy to take care of this machine. That makes two N1s now that have made their home in Oz - leaving Japanese shores by stealth. Talk to Kristian to see if he can spot something for you! So, many thanks for your comments Chris, because last night, I opened up my emails to see that Matthew Everingham had finished his work on the N1 > It'll become an A2 size > It goes up on my wall in a nice frame. In June, we need to engage Matthew E. to do some more photoshoot nights (if he's willing) - stills or rolling - and SAUers can choose I'll be happy to help out. NB:- The N1 will be on display 1) Jul - SAU.NSW Winter Tech Night 2) Oct - World Time Attack Challenge at the Iron Chef stall. 3) Nov - SAU.NSW Legends Night
  2. That's a pleasure! Watchamacallit is now on the reserve list too.
  3. So many thanks Matt. It took quite a few things to come together at the same time. And I can't thank Matt the photographer enough for his time + a brand new camera. He even brought along another helper aka Matt who brought his hatchback for Matt Everingham to crouch into. ^^ One that Matt took a few minutes earlier. I must say that I love looking at what SAUers have done with their cars!!!
  4. Ricky owes me too...
  5. 'traitor'! You prefer the R33 GTR, remember? jk You'll end up with "R33 GTR Withdrawal Syndrome!" jk
  6. True^^ Is this car Sonic Silver in colour? The paint code "KR4" indicates that it should be. Geez that VIN Plate is scratched up! And yes, the rivets that hold the plate to the wall don't seem to be the usual look.
  7. In your last will and testament Simon, instead of donating $5K to the Cancer Council, just will your LMGT4 GT500 set to me; and then I'll place the $5K directly with the Cancer Council, > I can also claim it as a tax deduction, whereas your estate can't!
  8. Yes, I agree Bobbeh that anomalies exist. Take CTP. If your Rego is a week overdue, it would mean that your CTP cover is overdue by the same period. So if you maim someone during that overdue period, it can be liability time. The system & timing yes, is stacked against the vehicle owner. If he has a weekend car and intends to just leave it garaged for say 3 weeks after registration is due; he can't take advantage of that interim period and have his registration validated from the time of payment.
  9. It's been a pleasure going through these pictures! And it's a boon to have all the books and paperwork intact!
  10. Eng Certificates not available at JapLink yet Jimmy. AGM is likely to be on or around the last Sunday in May at West Ryde. It'll be good to see a big turnout!
  11. You're on the "reserve" list Samuel - and welcome (in advance) to full membership. If we can slot you reserves in for this night, there'll be be some amazing sights for all members, on display > bring your cameras peeps!
  12. This 12 month lay-by is coming to an end. If the HKS hi-flow cat is not picked up by the end of next week, nick_7g has first option and there is another SAUer waiting in line. The wait is nearly over
  13. Hi Will, When I received my latest BNR34, it came with just one key so... 1) I bought an extra blank from Just Jap 2) I had it cut at Abbotts Locksmiths at Campsie - because it could be cut from computer data rather than off the original - albeit not very worn - key 3) I took both keys to JapLink Motors - now at 21 Bridge St Rydalmere - who programmed them as a pair. Ph: 96383205 Cuttting the new key off computer is a bit exxy If you prefer to cut the new key off the old one, it's not exxy Pairing/programming the keys for SAU members is not exxy Regards, Tez
  14. John's right. So if you plug in a double adapter (that of course works), you may find that the Tom Tom connects properly from either socket.
  15. Darron at Just Jap had once just sold a set of Splitfires > within 2 days there was misfiring > they were sent off for warranty > warranty claim declined (for reasons unknown to me). So even Splitfires can have a glitch or two. Super Spark are the only brand I've known to honour a warranty claim - just about regardless - within the time limit. I still use Splitfires tho' Companies which wriggle out of warranties by any means, make my blood boil. A bad batch of Bosch 044 pumps are cases in point.
  16. Asked a "motor trimmer" for a free quote? They can even strengthen the supporting rubber if required. Michael at 17A Amax Ave Toongabbie - same estate as Unigroup Engineering - is good at his trade.
  17. Owgasm once had LMGT4 GT500 F/S. You might wish to PM him. I think Simon may have withdrawn them. I also have a spare set of GT500 too but I need to keep them since one of my standard LMGT4 rims is a re-weld
  18. Isn't iwantar34gtr after a PFC?
  19. What a cutiieee! Betcha it only does l'il poops n puddles too eh?
  20. Black is an ideal colour I think for fatness Kev!
  21. let's give the 'man' some 'credit' > he puts in extra effort to prep some of his cars eg. a car is imported with snow tyres > he puts on appropriate passable tyres for compliancing > extra effort in putting the snow tyres back on
  22. SAU.NSW Free Winter Tech Night for Members will be about Servicing, Engineering Certs, Blue Slipping. So join up Joe! - It'll be worth it!
  23. The Quote: "Stay within the speed limit and pay attention" already mentioned. > Implies 2 actions. Now we don't want ADD to cause an infringement do we?
