  1. Congrats Michael You've never had so many people around your car have you?
  2. Umm, for girl thieves, the punishment apparently is even more lethal. They're tied down & forced to drink this...
  3. Call up or email "Express Publications" at Silverwater for your back issues. It'll be better if you know what the Issue# is though. Anyway, you might ask the secretary to fish it out for you.
  4. I agree Eric > great for SAU.NSW (or VIC - or QLD - or SA etc) to display at our tent at LowDown, MegaMeet, CardiGras hehe... ...with a car displaying... ...perhaps? Except that ^^ costs $20/plate eh? Ignore the cover folks! It's a furphy lol
  5. May I say this as an addendum that when drilling through perspex, it's advisable to use a low speed. This is because when hot, it can become a gelatinous mass rather than escape to the sides.
  6. Equivalent of RACV in NSW is the NRMA Chris. Sometimes, NRMA won't give you the sum insured that one thinks one is entitled to - yes, mods as well.
  7. I saw you walk away from MotorActive towards your car with a spring in your step Eric > You knew exactly what you were going to do with that wrap! Love the "Yama-Shita" motif
  8. Drilled and Mounted to-day. Mitch_Rona can make up a pair of stickers as I said for $15 And if you already have primer and white paint at home, the all up cost is $26 (including cut perspex and sticker stencils by Mitch)
  9. Why not call a few autoelectrians to find one who's fixed the same?
  10. 1) Immobiliser? 2) Fuel got water? Did you go to a servo that was refuelling? 3) Turn ignition on > off > on > off > on > try to start? 4) With ignition off > put accelerator to the floor and leave it depressed > then start it?
  11. Lol
  12. Hopefully youi'll die in 70yrs time of something else, whilst this thing continues to regrow. By then, just opt to be buried won't you? It stops growing in a coffin. Whereas, cremation smoke just spreads it around.
  13. I wonder if this is what arsonists do during downtime...
  14. If the BRZ/86 launch was a flop, could we not assume that the 'scene' as one puts it, required 'CPR'? Now that they've been a rip-roaring success, could they have been the litmus test for a new 'wave' to come?
  15. When a product is watery, the emulsion has broken down because the emulsifiers cannot keep the watery component suspended in the oil component or vice versa. It's likely, that if the product has gone watery, it has endured extended heat - probably even before you bought it. And the instruction to shake a polish etc, may certainly be not enough to reform the emulsion. This aspect intrigued me so greatly that I felt compelled at the Meguiar's Tech Night last Thur to ask if their products have a Use-By Date.
  16. Ring each of Shannon's, Just Car and Lumleys SV, Chris. ...to see what suits you best according to your record, your postcode, the car itself...etc... ...and proportional to your sum insured, your excess...etc... "Search" button will reveal much... Welcome to SAU!
  17. If you're an AutoGlym fan and there aren't many detractors, you can firstly use their Super Resin Polish. If that doesn't remove them, you can try their more abrasive Paint Renovator followed by Super Resin Polish Meguiar's has their Ultimate Compound followed by their Showcar Glaze 7 Menzerna has a broad spectrum of polish grades.
  18. ^^^ you deserve at least, a jelly bean ...(what we got in the old days).
  19. That's very much appreciated We'll open up our wallets too
  20. Makita random orbital on special atm at Sydney Tools Dulwich Hill for $169 according to brochure Owen
  21. Does anyone require a right-hand-transplant; pending the capture of one said thief? Perhaps a once-caught-and-paroled thief? No? None here on SAU?
  22. So did any of you see the Mg flare go into the mosh pit > severely burning one girl?
  23. ^^^ Similar... My current car has been done with Menzerna polish > Optima sealant > Zaino Wax (by Eugene Chan) but in the... Meguiar's range... 1) Ultimate Compound as Chris stated 2) Showcar Glaze #7 3) Hi-Tech Yellow Wax #26 ^^^^ This is what I'll probably use when it's due late this year.
  24. I asked at the SAU.NSW - Meguiar's Tech Night on Thursday about this. Their product called "Ultimate Compound" is to be used for egg protein stain.
  25. Michael's got his wish! Wow! So now you've got the prettiest R31 in town Michael, who & what do you recommend?
