  1. Chris' Black Beast getting the 3M Wrap Treatment. Spectacular job > Any comments yet Chris from admirers?
  2. My Pics of Owen's Bonnet Detail with Group A. Tutor:- Matt Bowen - good isn't he?
  3. You would have required the talent from "Argo Fark Yourself" to get that car out of Wisconsin > Jay Leno's garage
  4. 2000 VIP spots if all taken > Pay an extra $10 at the gate for a VVIP spot hehe.. Have a great time fellahs - especially at the SAU display!
  5. Well explained Mike - and thank you. I noticed on my last visit to Japan and that was decades ago, that younger people were desirous of copying America - their advertisements, their music, their baseball and at the time, a fastback mustang-like celica. Maybe many of them these days have also gone for automatic transmissions. There used to be a saying in Italy, "Autos are for cripples." In Australia, the trend went firstly towards > FWD > autos > Korean pricing > and who knows: maybe the Japanese trend of hybrids - which TG haven't caught on yet here - but, but, maybe after the demise of Falcons...
  6. Daniel's friend did more policing than the police!
  7. But the cops would have checked out the plate, driver's licence# and address surely?
  8. ...been posted up in NSW section too Daniel. Commiserations to your friend.
  9. ACT > but surrounded by NSW I'd be vigilant about this car... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/420432-car-break-in-bruce-area-act/ Posted up by long time SAU Member Manuel Kasko Ph# 0408 257 613 ...if you sight this mongrel in YJF.45E a white Ford ute. Likely * broken tie-down strap on LHS of tailgate * broken LHS tail/stop light
  10. 1) 'Twas also given a decent rundown on Motive DVD #11 by Andrew Hawkins. 2) More pics of her in the Archives section of SAU R32 GT-R 21st Anniversary 3) More pics of her in Performance Imports magazine #133 re: 21st Anniversary Gorgeous car - ugly price - or is it? To become part of the Jay Leno or Billy Joel collection perhaps?
  11. Wrap it in cotton wool for Texi Mick
  12. CvonK in previous documentaries has been innovative, open minded, motivated and with $$$ behind him, a risk-taker. To implicate 30% more torque, 30% more power, 30% less fuel consumption & 50% less emissions with this concept, CvonK has much more to offer us in terms of transportation than 'just' a supercar in the years to come.
  13. It's pretty distinctive! I go onto the M4 through P'matta 2+x a week
  14. Great team effort Andy > Win-win for all!!! You're invited to Tech Night #2 > I'll PM you Andy. And as Arnold says in a film, "We'll be back!" of something like that! Meguiar's team has been gracious to say the least > your tutors were really good!
  15. For whenever I want show plates whilst the car is off a public road > display... I decided after some help from Mitch - SAU Member - User Name "Mitch_Rona" > DIY 1) Mitch can make up a pair of customised 29cm x 8cm stickers for you for $15 2) A pair of black plastic perspex plates can be cut for you - yes with the rounded corners, whilst taking your stickers there to... Cain's Glass 8 Peachtree Rd Penrith Ph# 47315386 Cost? $11 for the pair 3) After carefully sticking Mitch's stencil stickers to the plates (& I botched up one), and next removing the the top sheet... I used Etch Pro spray over the stencil. But you can get a cheapo primer of course. 4) When dry after an hour, you can respray the primer or apply some white (or other colour) enamel paint I used el cheapo. 5) The next day I removed Mitch's stencil sticker to reveal this... 6) And now to do some measuring > drilling. NICE PLATES FOR UNDER $30 > Fit into the recessess for Japanese plates I think. PM Mitch > He'll make up one sticker for $9 or a pair for $15
  16. Great bunch of guys you are & so, the Meguiar's crew enjoyed it too. This club of ours is the only club to have received a complimentary "wrap" > and not only did they give away one > it was two!!! The winner of the "best sport award" has to go to Duncan!!! > there he was minding his own business > waiting for the door prizes to be given out > I held ticket #18 > Duncan held ticket #26 > I said, "Take this. This is the winning ticket!" > Duncan obligingly swapped > The first prize awarded was of course, ticket #26 > Ticket #18 didn't win anything > I'll let you know one day Duncan what was in the box
  17. "GTR_77", you're in if you see this!
  18. That's a good point:- Does a surface have to be devoid of moisture?
  19. Good 'er great news!!! So whilst in Sydney tomorrow > no use visiting you then > only nurses!

  23. I've looked at my former car and I'm afraid that the inside reinforcements are back to front. It was known as the Carbon Devil Wing. http://www.autoselect.co.jp/en/services/carbon_fiber/carbon_devil_wing.html
  24. ^^^ Up to date with 2 sleeps to go... Maikul (Michael) & darksky34 (Chris) & cpd (Owen), can you guys contact Andy at MotroActive please? Maybe, you'll need to arrive earlier than most - perhaps, there's a certain type of preparedness?
