Better Flowing Intercooler For Rb25 In R32
Roy replied to Russman's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Mate, throw a few screwed bungs in your cooler pipes and measure the pressure drop. also, wouldnt nurt to have additional pair of screwed fittings that let you put hand held temp instrument with two probes to see temp drop. I would be amazed if the cooler is the problem...even if its a cheapie with PWR sprayed on for cred, what makes you think its a restriction. -
A Boy's Love For His Rb20
Roy replied to Roy's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
My poor lil R32...makes no sense, why would you cheat on a pleasant enough, loyal, low maintenance thing...especially when the mistress is a far more expensive old girl with more plastic then substance, and frankly makes you bashful to be seen in public with? Oh well, the 32 was my second love after my 31 so it could be expected in a mid life crisis I would run off with another 80s slapper. -
So when do entries close for the track stuff and can I enter my new car rather then my rubbish Nissan?
-
Nobody? LOL, looks like I will have to get creative on how to remove the air injectors and get the boost back to sane levels
-
Ah,..ok. Will buy it today and get it sorted for the new HotRod. I feel dirty

Exporting the trackmaster data looks to be a bi of a nightmare as its not in the format that Trackvision uses for any of its dashes. So I supose that means you have to manually tweak the speadsheet so the formatting is correct ? I am just using the trial versions at the moment to get a feel for whether its worthwile for my next few track days

Does Anyone Know The Brand Of This Rotor ?
Roy replied to wlin88's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
What DJ said. The only other Jap kits that use that style of mounting hardware and the 6 pot Brembo is RDD and they only do the one colour for hats...so 99.9% sure its Biot (sadly this means drug money for replacement rotors) -
Try watching Star Sports in Asia....actually its not too bad other then the terrible commentary

So i buy that app for my phone , it uses GPS/data downloads on my phone and then using trackvision/Dashware etc i splice the vid with data ?

Not very common in Aus but when you read motorsport magazines and they are very common especially in rallying in Europe etc due to being Cosworth/Pi manufactured ECUs Does anyone know anyone that can tune them in Syd or Melb? The ECU in question is only the introduction unit so not too complicated Overview The Pectel T2 ECU benefits from leading edge technology developed in the Pectel high end ECUs. Fault protected drivers are used to control four high-impedance injectors and two ignition channels for fully sequential operation of four cylinder engines to 10,000rpm. There are six external analogue sensor channels including a standard lambda sensor input; an internal sensor is used for barometric pressure compensation. Three output channels are provided for PWM or switched control of external functions (such as a fuel pump, idle speed control, wastegate control etc.) and a switch input is provided which can be used for a lap beacon etc. The system includes 512kB of battery backed memory for engine data-logging (40 simultaneous channels from a possible 120, with independent user-configurable rates of up to 100Hz). An engine logbook function is also provided, which records maximum and minimum operational parameters from the previous 100 engine runs.

..Good thing to know that insurance companies are carnts no matter which country you are in. Not a single broker or mainstream insurer will cover me due to not being a UK resident, not holding a UK licence or the type of car (or combination of) So knowing they blew me off over the email last week, didnt expect after 5 hours of calling over 12 insurers that I would not have a policy Snowie, or anyone else...any throughts or experiences when you were looking at exporting your cars over here for giggles. The one thing i didnt count on is in all my previous discussions I had a work permit as was a resident...not the case now....just a lowly gypsy on holidays Fark, this is the country of club motorsport, classic cars, and students and professional secondment. Cant believe you need to be a UK resident/licenced to get a car. I asked what would happen if I flew over from Ireland and needed to get the car insured until i got back to Ireland and they didnt know -
Meh, all Rbs are gay. I am all about Cosworth now anyway

I have a T67-25 turbo, brand new by itself as well. I am broke after buying a new car and need the cash so if you want either a T67-25G or TD06SH-25G then i have them both sitting around
-
But what is the point when between 160-200rwkws is plenty on the street. You cant even give 2nd gear a blip without losing your licence. If you mod the car then dont use it where it is safe and legal then thats a shame. On the street my thing drives like SSS Pulsar which us fine for old farts like me

Crock of sh!t!!!!! Funny how a TD06 RB20 can live with a T67 powered RB25 that was making 320ish..and end up actually faster around a track. So if a std RB20 isnt getting smashed then what makes you think an RB24 would . And not eberyone is that arrogant and judgemental about how others have spent their money (which doesnt mean we dont share advice and learn from each others mistakes)

lol. I will defend the lil 20 to the death. IMO IT HAS A PLACE AS A PERFORMANCE ENGINE! I dont care if people are tuners, backyard mechanics, professional mechanics or just average punters who pay workshops to get things done. Every engine has its merits. Funny that those that raced the FJ20, cossie YBB and RB20 rated it as often the best 2l engine in grp a circles. Could not match the power of the YBB but was the most drivable, looking after its tyres better and easier in the wet. I understand RB20 was viewed to be better then FJ for same reasons. so there are better things out there, sure....but its not like the RB20 hasnt shown itself to be capable.... funny that for a pos engine can easily get R32s down the qtr in low 12s and around circuits quicker then all the SR20 and RB25s around them...most recently T67 RB25 that was even stevens in a straight line...i suspect he spent a little more time on corner exit with wheelspin. Not to mention Marlin getting his targa car through stages quicker then well steered GTRs and Porsches

oh yeh, thats the plan. Will see if it breaks. Figure that Count bought an S13 from Melb years ago...only for us to pay for it and go straight to PI for the weekend...the thing ran spot on...so have to see if the Cossie can match that performance...there is also a day at lmola this Friday... problem will be getting there if payment takes more then two days to clear -
