  1. Typo 98 vs 100RON. And i cant remember what rims and tyres my car had on it last time it was dynoed so since the curves are pretty similar just offset, perhaps there was a diam difference which meant the difference in response and curve. But having driven the car a bit with the new setup, I still think the 6boost setup if anything gives away a tad performance compared to the Greddy manifold, there is absolutely no way as far as i can figure that anyone can say the 6boost works better then the Greddy manifold for my setup. I just hope that the thing is a reliable beast of a thing and I get years of serves from it
  2. I thought the GPS was for the fish finder? That is mega. When driving an R35 that quick, i appreciate to do that time the thing is quick everywhere. But does th edriving style differ much...it looks like you can carry a good wack of speed to the apex and with the grunt and response the thing has get on it after the thing is sorted in the corner and it lunges out of corners. It appears as though your entry speed is high....???? So, so scary quick for a road car
  3. I would ... but truth is if it looks easy then the thing is being driven well. Its only when you are slapping the thing all over the road and it looks hard and but is actually probably slower .. but looks cool and impresses the kids
  4. Dont waste your time of money with R888s. Federal 595RSR id you can front $400 a tyre, or just the cheaper Federal or Khumos otherwise
  5. The most responsive curve was the Greddy manifold and 100RON. The laggier curves are the 6boost manifold with 90RON and then the same with some ignition wound out of it
  6. Interesting that my TD06H-20G is bigger on the hotside. Might explain why it did perhaps perform a tad better then there very similar setup L2?!?!?!?! Dont think it really matters but interesting to know.
  7. It was funny at Silverston in the mega 135hp Caterham. There were not that many cars i was quicker then. But as you woudl expect the mega caged, brakes and flame throwing EVO, STI and R33 GTR were on the list of cars that I genuinely overtook and pulled away from
  8. Also, what Nismo wheel were you running that they did not clear a 330mm 4pot AP? I am looking for a second set of 17s to clear 343mm and 4 pots
  9. No 10cm housings
  10. I sent him an email last week about a TD05-18G with a 10cm housing....maybe a call is in order
  11. Point me in the direction of a cheap 10cm housing please
  12. He makes 270rwkws on that other other type of dyno, hub is it???... whatever they are called. A friend made 270 with a 20G on his RB25. But I cant see them ever making 300rwkws on a Dyno Dynamics...not a chance. I know of a well buit and tuned SR20 making 273 or so....all with the 8cm housing. If you want a bit more power then go the 10cm housing. With the 2.5L i dont think you will miss a lot of response and bet you get a nicer power band with a bit more top end power and wider power band. Also, the whole TD06L2 vs TD06SH comparison. Tim and me have very similar cars, exhaust, cooler, mods etc are all the same. He has the L2, me the SH. There is no difference in them. Tuned by the same tuner, on the same dyno, but mine on 100 his on 98 my car had more response and something like 1kw more, but it did come on a bit earlier. So put that down to the 3deg more ignition accross the map....and really, there is more to be gained or lost based on other variables rather then whether you are running an L2 or SH. Both setups stop making power at about 20psi so its not as though one even flows better and allowed more boost and top end....it was all much of a muchness If i didnt believe that I wouldnt be selling the L2 i have ona shelf and keeping the SH.
  13. So you can see the L2 and T67 have the same 11 blade wheels with the same pitch, where as my TD06H-25G has 12 blades and steeper pitch so would probably spool better but be a tad more restrictive. So perhaps the story i was told about T67 being an SR20 turbo because of its exhaust wheel and the TD06H-25G being an RB25 turbo is wrong ???
  14. TD06L2-20G see attached T67-25G TD06H-25G
  15. The T67 is T67-25G. Never seen any other type of T67 so it doesnt run a TD07 comp wheel. It runs the same compressor as the TD06H-25G, so the only difference between a T67-25G and the TD06H-25G is the exhaust wheel. For what you want I think its too big...ie both are too big. The reason you see the T67 on SR20s as I am told the turbine has more/different pitch blades so spools up a little better. I have never put a friends T67 side by side with either my 20G or 25G....although i know my current TD06SH-20G is running the 8cm housing off his T67 as he wanted my old 10cm
  16. Why wouldnt you run a 20G on an RB25? A friend use to run one and it was an animal! Made 270rwkws and no GT-RS, 3071 etc coyuld match it. He then went 25G and it made way more power, 330-340rwkws but there was a huge difference in character of the car and by character I mean response. Also, the TD06L2-20G does not run the TD07 comp wheel per se. The 20G is the comp wheel, ditto the 25G etc. So a T78-29D is bigger, so is the T78-33d. You need to look at what comes after the - to see what is happening with the compressor side. Unless you are going ext gate I would stick with the Garrett based turbos as they seem to have better internal gates.
  17. That is awesome...but depressing at the same time. Any vids?
  18. Mate, in my car I have never been near a 1:10 let alone a 1:01. Thats is seriously moving. Even with the circuit changes that seem to have dropped times a little, anything under a 1:04 is moving in my eyes! Wakefield is a good little test track, but does favour gadgetry more then some other flowing tracks.
  19. Ok, its on! Have done an exchange with a friend for some parts which means amongst other things i now have some new SARD 700cc injectors. So they can go in with my new fuel rail with full ptfe/braid lines and fuel reg and we can start to see what sort of boost we can screw into my thing with E85 Its on ... IS ON LIKE KING KONG!!!! Must be in the tune. My thing does not hit that hard and sure as hell doesnt break into wheelspin, a little bit in st but 2nd gear just hooks up I like the 20 in the corners as it has less torqe to turn the tyres and easier to get on the loud pedal. By corners i mean corners, not silly 120 deg turns on a skid pan, but 70km/h+ corners on a circuit
  20. Yeh, the more i think about it, there arent really any secrets for gettingt oo big a turbo / s on boost. If they are too big then they are too big. ITs different if they are line ball, then maybe plenums, better exhaust, some cam selection will help. But twin 2530s are pretty big for a 2.4L. At best i would think GT-SS, but then that will limit you to less then what a TD06-25G or a 3037 can punch out. Its going to be cool and interesting to see the results
  21. If those electric pink dildos with ass finding radar and SCADA control R35s can do 61 sec laps then there is no problem matching those times at Wakefield in the GTSt. Dont need shortcuts, just need a cute girl in short shorts and boob tube running up the length of the pit wall with my timign beacon shortening the track for me. Everyone will be so distracted by her athletic display along the pit wall that nobody will care she will be shortening the track by 300mtrs
  22. Its not that up to date as mods took access away from me.... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/SA...mes-t46199.html I have done a 1:01 in a GTSt
  23. Well, hurry up and get this bad boy finished I can only guess what the setup will be like.....but I can be sure there is no way it will be in and making meaningful boost, enough for 200rwkws at 4,000rpm. What are 2530s., 320HP? So you have about 650hp of turbo to get spinning. Think a single 2530 on an RB20, then on a CA18....you are trying to spool one up with a CA12 minus one cylinder. So not saying done do it, there is merit for going wins when chasing 350rwkws. Only be sure your expectations are realistic so not to be disappointed ...and my mates R33 had a 2530 on an RB25. No way it waited until 4,00rpm to come on. The thing was too responsive as it was always lighting up tyres. Best street car-230rwks going i think!
  24. If you have been in an RB26 with 2530s then you will realise with more compression, displacement and mutli throttles they are still not that responsive or really go anywhere under 4,500rpm. Maybes its the weight of the car that doesnt help either. But when they are on they are good things. I suppose to your advantage is the fact that you have the same stroke as the RB26, only you are down a few ccs. I expect it to not really be hitting 18-20psi before 4,800rpm or so....at best....but will be interesting to see how it goes. Seems that this E85 stuff is a pretty good band-aid these days As for the missing ingredient that coul deven help the response of your setup...well I am not telling, as what will my RB24 have over yours
  25. Very cool. Have often thought how some baby twins like GT-SS would go on an RB24. Cool to see you have man'd up and done 2530! There is only one thing missing from this build to make it my dream RB20 build
