  1. Pull a plug and check the stroke
  2. Racepace i am betting Vettel will struggle, hope not. But just a feeling
  3. LOL, i am stuck in Singapore where an R35 cost almost twice as much....plus people paint R35s pink with black roofs here. Seriously, the owner must have thought it was an S13 drift car . My 175k will be getting spent on strippers, booz and road trips, the rest i will squander on a TVR. Like i said, scaring yourself in a POS 3 pedal car that isnt quick is sometimes more fun Rant aside, I am genuinely amazed by the pace of R35s when piloted properly. Awesome to see
  4. LOL, unless its a POS rwd car with 3 pedals, with no power and even less grip then in my eyes its just not a real mans car. I will join the line of people saying that driving an R35 is like brushing your teeth with an electric tooth brush, sure you are kind of doing the work. But "AAA" batteries are doing the real work for you So, when do i fly in to SA and you get to prove me wrong by giving me the keys for a few hours I suspect the negative comments are coming from people who are envious of either the pace of the car, your technical ability to mod it or your financial ability to play with a 160k car.
  5. Massa and Alonso look to have the speed. Cant see Button doing a brilliant job in his first race at McLaren whcih in the heat is going to require some driving around problems/setup. My dark horse for the only two that may knock off a Ferrari this weekend will be Rosberg and Webber
  6. Hmmm....thanks for posting. Thats a slightly different tune to what his email read but will go back to him now and just grab a Turbosmart off him
  7. Any reason why the leading edge on the front lower lip is angled up? The car does look crazy/scary fast to drive. Looks like it needs a powerglide
  8. Webz has broken the car ... again. I want to know what the full story was with Geoff Willis (was former technical director at RBR) leaving mid last year. The car was unreliable befor ehe joined, and sicne leaving the car has gone back to its unreliable 2007 ways...just like Jag used to be and often Newey cars are ???
  9. I am working in Singapore at the moment and our office is just down the road from a Ferrari dealership. Well about 3 hours ago ther ewas about 15-20 cars from Californias, F430 and a few Scuds and 599s all driving down the road in formation. I am wandering if its a group hand feed / admiration thing coinciding with the kick off for F1 2010
  10. eeek, a bent Audi and Mosler
  11. Seriously, if you want door to door then Historics NC are what i think works well. Cool cars that you can do so many levels of motorsport in SAFELY. Helps when you only have an 800kg 150hp car, you dont get into too much trouble too quickly
  12. Taht rear shot of your car is shit hot Dane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its almost too nice to go Lexaning up and tracking!!!!
  13. I just bought this bad boy...thnk it was about $350 or so...really nice helmet once it loosened up a tad. It was a bit of a shotgun purchase as i have my own helmet design that i want to get so should have bought a plain white Bell / Shoei or something...which reminds me. Anyone know a place that does reasonable priced airbrushing of helmets? While i am away and dont need one it woudl be great to get one and have it painted up
  14. My cock envy gauge is going ballistic
  15. More interested then ever about some of the inner team battles. My thoughts Alonso to pip Massa. Lewis to be comfortable against Button.... Just how good is Rosberg and hwo much did the surgery and injury affect Webber last year? COME ON WEBZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5 hours to go to P1 2010!
  16. Shits me how you buy the Tial gate, then there is an extra $100 in getting the V-band flanges. FFS you think they would supply the thing with the flanges and clamps !
  17. That could be a goer as its readily available. Some pics and a price would be handy He said he only stocks the Turbosmart gear these days, but said to go for either the 45mm Turbsomart or the 44mm Tial...he didnt seem fussed.
  18. LOL. reading crash, the worst website ever. Interested to know what the context and full comments were. But i agree...the cars are slower then years past, have more tyre grip, less cornering speed from less aero, with less hp, safer, more reliable. Montoya took off how many races when he tripped on a frigging tennis ball! They are a bunch of sooks!
  19. Often wondered what the TD05-18G would be like. Its basically an EVO MR turbo so should be rety punchy on an RB20 and make more power then a 2530
  20. I am finally close to removing my Greddy TD06 manifold and Type R wastegate and install my 6Boost manifold to be used with the same TD06 turbo. I hit a small problem as i have a new Greddy Type R gate to use with the 6boost manifold, but with a rough trial fit the big Greddy gate wont go close enough to the collector for the 6boost manifold to be able to provide good boost control So left looking for a replacement wastegate. Looking around the 45mm mark and the Tial V44 or the Turbosmart Hypergate 45 look to be the best options. The Turbosmart gate is a tad shorter by 10mm but both appear to be far smaller then the Greddy gate and will be able to be packaged well. Has anyone got experience with either of these gates being used on 6boost manifolds? Which is the best option and where is the best place to source?
  21. Have always wanted to build up an MR2 from when i lived in Sydney and was a customer of BD4s. Paul's MR2 and the customer with the red one pushed the limits for the lil MR2s locally for a good many years
  22. For road tyres i ran -0.75 on semis i up it to -1.25 (memory)
  23. Yeh, Sepang is really busy the next few months with F1, and its national rounds of racing. Its makign it very hard to find a track day where Joe Schmoe can trock up to and attend
  24. Looks like a well sorted R33 . Go give it a trash and post up some vids
  25. Who knows!??!?! The fact that its a performance application means i would want to be sure it has 360 thrust bearings etc unlike some of the cheaper std prod car 270deg stuff. I suppose there is only one way to find out....but its a risk. The billet turbo guys claims to be able to re do the Greddy turbos with water cooler, ball bearing centres. I have a spare TD06-20G that was ear marked to have this done.
