With work i simply dont have the time in Melb these days and a mechanic is going to charge me between 5-6k to install the new turbo setup, manifolds, gearbox, clutch, exhaust, and fancy electroinics i have for her
  3. Me? Hmm, i went to PI to watch I got my car back about 6-8 weeks later then planned so didnt get a chance to do the things it needed maintenance wise etc etc...just ran out of time. This working abroad really kills car stuff...lets me buy plenty of parts that never go on the car though Mechanics charge 3 x what the parts cost to install...lol i can butcher all the parts installing them myself for free

  8. Yeh, 18x9 +30 with i think they are 235/40/18 tyres. The guards have been pumped, lipped, rolled as much as possible without giving them a dramatic lip and they actually swallow the wheels pretty easily.Now looking for some 10.5" +32 rears to go with 9.5" + 22 fronts
  9. It is depressing how much money there is over here in Singapore and also Malaysia. Such expensive and uber cool toys everywhere. Except for the pink R35 i saw on Wednesday that had a black roof drift style and had the most obvious mask lines from the respray. Cant wait to do Sepang, just have to wait and hear what car a friend is organising for me , i would rather a punt of this thing

  11. Depends on which hats you have. Alcon, Dixcel, Brembo, Stoptech all make a decent 332 x 32mm rotor. I guess you run Brembo so you can get Dixcel replacement rotors off yahoo or out of Japan. Since the dollar is doing ok you can consider buying new stoptech hats and rotors as the hats are damn similar but sadly dont take the Stoptech rotor (assuming you run a Brembo hat) It may work out more viable as the Stoptech replacement rotors are very cheap compared to many of the others out there

  13. Bugger, i have a 343mm bracket for the F40, though its buried in storage Dont run PMU 345s...lol for gods sale. Way too expensive., Grab some B-Spec 343mm x 32mm rotors. Good sturdy design and reasonably priced replacements and they are a very easy rotor to adapt the F40 to.

  16. Even more reason to get my car out there and do a massive oil down and bin it on the first lap. Ruin it for all other cars sp nobody else runs, and all (only) footage they get will be my car. Think of the air time and sponsor opportunities. I truly have a unique mind when it comes to marketing strategies
  17. They are shit...dont do it!!!! Because i have one with Tomei 2.4 internals that i am looking at running....one day when i am in Australian long enough to enjoy. I have Tomei solid lifter conversion that i will also use and i will run some R34 GTT Tomei Poncams. I have not put a NEO head side by side but it only runs 9.5:1 compression so it seem perfect for a 2.4L as when you increase the diam of the combustion chamber to suit the larger bore you lower the compression...so will work out well. I am a bit concerned about the stud pattern on the inlet side as i expect like the RB25 NEO head which does not accept R33 RB25 inlet plenums....the RB20 NEO will be problematic with inlet manifolds
  18. Anyone list the prices on the 378 or whatever they are Alcon Vs AP rotors? Curious to know what they are worth and whether they are 36mm thick
  19. I rate the F40s. I grabbed some 6 pot Alcons and got all wet over them until i realised they run 376x36mm rotors A bit bigger then i was expecting/hoping. Oh well, back to std brakes while the car sits in storage. One day....i will just burn it and build a track GTSt like Two Bens Racing
  20. Well i was going to pack my car up and send it to the UK, but 7 days before i fly out the mechanic has been busy with rubbish GTRs and the cat currently doesnt drive as it has no brakes....i think 2010 may continue to be the year of the hire car
  21. Guys, not going to part with this or that one. Before sold off some about three years ago i did have every issue of Zoom and HPI, and Motor from Mrch 2000. But the pile of mags is a mismatch...there is a GTR special in there, i saw it when i was throwing them on the ground...i think it was the one with a solver R33 on the cover. The Issue 1 GTR special went to the guy that bought my complete set

  23. Hi people. Over time i have tried to cull down the number of magazines i have laying around, but its time to jstu get rid of them. I have years worth of HPI, Zoom, EVO, Speed, Fastg 4s, Hot 4s, F1 Racing etc etc. I am in Southbank and need a pick up before Wednesday. Probably 3 cartons worth of mags worth over $1000
