Did you happen to weigh the rear cradles? With the alloy hubs is the GTR rear end any lighter? Alsowhat Ti exhaust have you scored Marlin? My twin mufflerTi Trust exhuast is the street one which i am told is more expensive then the single muffler race exhausts...i am waiting for some dyno time to see if it makes the power i am after

...cheers! Thanks for clarifying. IS there any talk of the PDK box for GT2,now or next model? Interested to know your thoughts as a current GT2 owner whether you would want the next model (or your 997) to run a PDK

I haven't sold it...i am actually picking it up tomorrow from just having had some work done to it. I wanted to burn the R32 not that long ago but cars are a love hate thing:)

Doesnt the GT2 have the uber magnetic suspension etc? If its anything like some of the other systems i have seen and read about then aftermarket suspension will just make it handle worse????????

Yeh its around somewhere. It did do Dutton in 2007 and track days up to end of 2007. I was OS most of 2008 and all of 2009 and i live around the corner from committee meetings so just walk:)

I vote for less jibber jabber and more 997 pics. Is Porsche thinking about using their PDK in the GT2? I hope not but if they can get the weight down to the point that it is similar to a normal manual...and they turf that silly reverse pattern/direction for shifting and use proper/more common paddles then it could squeeze a bit more performance from the thing....

Meh, i dont know. They said LP was the quickest to Forrest Elbow, and i dont know any different...but i do expect that a race engine to be down in power and/or not rev'd as hard as a practice-quali engine. From memory the V8s in Grp A trim had a higher rev limit, higher compression ratio limit and more cam freedoms then they later enjoyed when they moved to the control formula?!?!? (Based on memory only)

And, great to meet Stu in person....thanks a million for all the help gettting me registered and entered at short notice. Made it all look easy which i am sure wasnt the case given the lateness of the change .
