  1. It depends if i want sole use or shared container etc. I am hoping that the Aussie dollar continues to do well . All up excluding insurance its going to be a little under 4k (if the exchange rate holds up). Temp rego is pretty easy to get in UK. Insurance scares me. The days i wil be doing are just fun days and having a punt. I am a little concerened about taking it to do Duttons, and sprint days ... way too much gravel rash and bar/bonnet chips... well at least until she road grimes up a little and i forget the sting from all the costs the past few months It used to be a clean track car but after the fire at Winton, kiss of tyres at Sandown it always sucked that it wasnt the neat and tidy car it was back in 2004 when i moved to Vic. But provided i keep her straight then she will be good to go for the next 10 years now
  2. 1000 x votes for white. They are harder to keep clean but a friend has black TC05s on his Sileight and they no longer look anywhere as cool as when they were white! His car still looks cool but white on white is sooo much cleaner. I loved white wheels on my car. And they look ever racier on a black car. I think if you go black on black it will still look good, but white kist makes it look like a race car! Expecially with its war paint on , it wont contrast as well with black wheels. I think much the same reason why my car can never run silver wheels as you need some contrast in there if they are to look their best and ... If the mechanicals get sorted in the next 4-6 weeks she is going into a container and she is doing Spa, Rockingham Raceway and Da Burger Ring But needs the 6boost mani and RB25 box in before i go all that way with her
  3. The wheels are only temp (ie borrowed) until i get some more cash to buy tyres for my TE37s (17") I suspect the car will look better with the 34 wheels though being 18s vs the 17" TE37s. WIll have to hunt down some R34 GTR wheels later in the year
  4. Well i was waiting to put the new TE37s on it and the new engine bits before posting pic but who knows when that will be...so
  5. As an observer, i bet it pisses councils off no end with damage to the shoulder which then can have major maintenance issues for them down the track if not fixed. No councils playing ball then no event
  6. Ah Count Baron, you can get my slops anytime!
  7. The Alps all look pretty similar. This is the road i went to in Austria in July. (Volvo wagon though )
  8. Meh, i would feel like a tool if i had someone drive my car in Clubsprint. It would be a bit like courting a girl for months, spending thousands on dinners, weekends away and gifts. Then when she takes her panties off and says " do nasty things to me..." you jump on the phone and get the Beer Baron in to deflower her for you. Even if i got it horribly wrong the 8 or 9 times i tried i bet i would still be having more fun then if watching Beer Baron reap rewards for my hard work!
  9. Looks rather understeery?!?!?!?! I imagine the twin clutch gearbox makes it hard to do these sort of events as you cant really handbrake and clutch drop to get the car around the tighter cones. Well at least thats what they tell me regarding the EVO Xs with flappy gearbox so expect teh GTR could suffer the same fate
  10. Look at the date for the article...2006?
  11. Thats a lot of money you must have spent

  15. Looking at selling the F40 setup that I have pieced together by buying bits off Yahoo over a period of time as car is going into storage and this setup is currently off the car so that i could have 16" wheels on the car. The kit consists of: - Brembo F40 calipers. Used with one rotor having been slight damage where it rubbed on the rotor. This is how I bought the caliper, suspect previous owner left off a washer which meant the clearance was not sufficient. (See pics) - Pads - Cant say for certain what model padm but most likely ENDLESS (see pics) - 343x32mm RDD rotors. These are Japanese rotors and are in very good health at 31.7mm thick. These rotors are perfect to run under a good 17" wheel as they are about the biggest brake combo you can run under a 17" wheel. I wanted these rotors due to the hat design and are the reason i built up this kit. - RDD alloy radial mount. They have had a little bit of the outer edge ground off so that these GTR mounts can be used on the GTSt or GTR hub. - Braided GTR lines, they are the 2 piece type which are found on most GTRs and a few GTSts This setup weighs less then the STD R32 GTR brake setup! Before installing the calipers need to have the bleed nipple and bridge swapped over to suit the direction of the rotors. Was going to do this before sending them off to be blasted and HPC coated. As you can see in the pics the seals are all in good condition, whilst the paint is in average condition with the clear coat pealing in places This kit can be used on an R32/R33 GTSt, GTR, GTS25t and Z32s and S13/14/15s (braided line may not suit all cars) Looking for $2200 + delivery, not a dollar under The general components: Right caliper Seals Underside of right caliper Left Caliper Underside of Left Caliper Seals of Left Caliper Rotors Close up of fasteners. Of all the brake setups i have played with these are my pick for hat/fastener design Back of rotor (typical to both sides) Thickness of rotors Alloy mounts Pads Lines I also have a set of rear R33 GTR Brembo rotors. I replaced them with new Project U rotors and these have only worn 0.6mm so were only replaced because i wanted slotted. Asking $150
