  1. Hehehe, looks like i will be adding Shanghai International Circuit to the list
  2. I am with others in saying i would miss the first Sandown day you were hoping to run and make sure everything is sorted. Get am 040 Bosch or an in tank HKS/Nismo etc fuel pump and throw away the fuel reg. RB20s are damn tough and will be reliable at 230rwkws, but you need to make sure the fuelling and cooling is right before going to a place like Sandown with such long straights where you will be up the car for all money
  3. What car are Toyota/Lexus running next year. Their new LFA is a brilliant piece of kit
  4. Well i have a sniff of another OS posting which will mean 5 day weekend every 4-6 weeks. But March is looking like a good month for track days in Germany-Belgium. Only thing is i have no idea what the weather will be like.
  5. I was looking on Boxing Day, i can buy you 6 +32 wheels, but will keep looking for the single +34 Also, park the 32 Terror for 6 months and come to Belgium with me. How does Spa, Zolder, Zandvoort finished off with punching some Burger Ring back in Germany. The timing is right, problem is getting a car for Zolder There are other tracks like Magny Cours but problem is i am waiting for them to update their websites. I am thinking i may even export my lil 32 over if i can get all the transport done and temp rego for less then 5k.
  6. You are wiped Russ. I am sitting here twidling my fingers hatching a plan for 2010, if it comes off it shoudl be a good year for doing more OS tracks. Otherwise it looks like my thing is ready for the track again, only i am too scared to put a stone chip in the new paint
  7. Well seems my car is back in one piece...now to find a garage for a few days and bolt all the goodies back on and then go start blowing stuff up again 2010 is looking like it could be a decent year of motorsport provided i can stay in the country... What i really want is a 993 GT2
  8. Didnt have any audio but still a good watch. So sorry to see you into the tyres at Sandown You're one of the cool kids that have tasted steel at Sandown like me
  9. {SHAKES HEAD AT MERCS SIGNING OF MS}
  10. More fluff technology for a car that already has too much fluff technology. I bet owners are too lazy to even jack off manually and have some electronic aid!
  11. Depressed, i want this car but am being deported Have ogled this car in person for years and can confirm that the thing is always looked after and well screwed together!
  12. In an era where either there wasnt as many rounds or clear team dominance in a season. But yes, i suppose there was about the same number of rounds and the loads/speeds would have been similar in the case of ol Nige. But, Nige was younger then 41, was he 36 or something? And if they sign MS surely it will only be for a single season, nless he things at 42 and 43 he will still be motivated.
  13. How big is the std? In the new year with my plenum on i was going to look to mill out a stocker 4-5mm, i think std they may be about 65mm. Was also thinking about trying one of the twin type throttles of the L98/LT1 350 Chev as they are meant to give sharper throttle response, but will have to measure up the flanges.
  14. Buy your GTR an NSX
  15. So who is going to wager on the 2010 Top 3? I say: WDC: Alonso P2: Hamilton P3: Vettel P4: Massa P5: Webber P6: Button Man its going to be a tough season with some of the pairings, the teams that were strong this year and will be recovering next year!
  16. If Schuey comes back then i think the sport with be poorer for it. I loved the guy, then hated him then loved him...but the sport needs to move on, he will eb well past his best and read this Mick "THERE IS NO WAY A 41 YEAR OLD CAN DRIVE AN F1 CAR OVER A SEASON!" Hang it up and MErcedes need to stop trying to buy press attention with talk of MS and best get busy with putting a good pilot in the second seat and get next years car on song as Brawn were only about the 3rd best team at the end of the season!
  17. Tomei etc make the headgaskets in bore sizes up to 83mm and various thicknesses. I have 82mm Tomei pistons and they do the associated head gasket for it. I cant help you out with thickness as i am going a different route with the head so mine will be different
  18. Yes, the pads with new rotors was part of the service
  19. Strange, i have heard from two owners that is not the case. Might have misunderstood or there may have been other issues?!?!?
  20. Try and go for a ride in a 250awkw RB20 before starting the mods. If you are chasing a number I suspect you will find that the car will be far too laggy and not to your liking. Especially if you are trying to do it with an internal gate turbo on the std manifold. Best bet as always is find yourself a 320hp HKS or Apexi turbo and throw it on for a grunty 220awkws. Unless of course you like the lag and hit of a turbo that is a tad too big. And if the turbo you are looking at is rated for 520hp then i say it would be a "very laggy/big hit of power" type of delivery
  21. The R35 is more practical but i would caution calling it a daily driver for taking the kids to school. I know with all these sorts of cars its one thing to afford to by it, and another to afford to run one. But someone care to run past me the servicing costs for the first 15,000kms which most of us woudl do in 6 or so months of daily drivign with kids? I would take the R8, looks horn and goes hard enough to be entertaining and has in my eyes/taste more character. But does get destroyed by the R35 from an all round performance stance...which since you dont get to use that all too often i rather the more tactile exhaust note, 3 pedal manual, scraping the hemroids on the ground etc
  22. Manor was renamed Virgin after major influx of cash. Not expecting anything special from them based on the budget, the team behind the team and their contracted drivers, though will be a real test of Glock
  23. I think you are all being far too hard on old Trulli. I mean, from a team owners perspective he is still one of the 5 or so fastest guys over a single lap. His race pace may not always be strong but that typically goes for the cars he has been driving as well. To his credit he doesnt let the faster cars behind just breeze on past, and he normally holds position even though he is wounded. And with him in the car you will know of the car has genuine speed. Heikki on the other hand,he will just be a solid guy punting the car cleanly at about its limit. In his time on the grid I don’t think he will do much more then circulate the car and help them along with some development and from a teams perspective they know they will be getting decent enough-credible feedback because he has worked with some of the best at McLaren and no doubt learnt.
  24. I left a big steaming present on the bonnet of the 31 for you this morning when out at Dissik Street
