  1. I understand they are different, but do tey have the same PCD to bolt to the blocks?
  2. If it wasnt a race import i would be very interested, but need to be able to drive it as i am not spoilt for space or tow cars. Would be a good basis as they are so light!
  3. I am assuming that sumps on RB20s from an R32 GTSt and an R32 GTS4 can be swapped. Are sumps compatible between RB25 and RB20? Looking for a sump option for an RB20 that wont mess with my swaybars
  4. So i am wasting my time getting a 40mm alloy jobbie from Race Radiators in Melb? I shoudl just get one of these crossflow PWR jobbies? Like Sav Man asked, how much are they?
  5. The cost of gaskets, studs etc in my eyes means instantly no rebuild is budget. Just hope my RB20 lasts long enough for me to get all the parts together over a long enough time frame that i dont realise the large expense that is a built motor
  6. Need a 4wd sump off an RB20. I am located in Melb. Dont need the diff or anything as its going to be chopped off anyway for use on rwd RB20
  7. So Cameron, how is this all going?
  8. Hey Juggernaut, can you post an update of the full tuned setup?
  9. LOL, this in the internet so usual caveats apply If this was a finanace website i would say something like "do your own reearch " SO I am talking out my ass as most know, but i think you will find why he has the -5s in the first instance is that the engine builder/tuner has had more success with the -5s then the 2530s. There are a few in the Vic club that have gone from 2530s to -5s, some because they wanted to go tarmac rallying, others because it was seen as an upgrade...though they do concede that the -5w make less power, in Vic anyway there is a trend to use the -5 as they are better for track work. (on 2.6Ls anyway) So, take that with a grain of salt as the above is just an obersvation, and perhaps i am reading too much into the fact that this build uses -5s in the first instance. After spending all that cash on 2.8L, V-Cam, brakes etc etc i would be surprised if it wasnt a concious decision to use the -5s.
  10. Dont worry about after. Seriosly, if you have done a track day on a sump of oil then i dont see a problem with running it for 4,500-5,000kms. Temp and contaminants are what hurt oil and i cant see you getting too much f either sitting in traffic or going for a drive on the street.
  11. Duncan, you do at times seem cursed with that car. Hope you get it sorted and back out this weekend
  12. I change oil every track day, but i do it the other way around. I change the oil before every track day. That way i know i have anice fresh sump and filter before every track day and oil that is in decent enough condition for pottering around on the streets, which lets face it, you can barely gas secon gear on the street so hardly stressful for the engine or the oil you are running
  13. Yeh, hire cars are costing me too much money and am doing some touring around Ireland, so have have another 4.5weeks of out and about. Will be leaving it with a friend to either sell or store depending on work has me doing in the new year. At $4,000 i can absorb the short term hit in the hip pocket
  14. Those crazy Germans may use BMWs for Ring Taxis, but being a tight ass Australian means i will run a povo pack Skyline. Plus, if i break one i have an idea on how to fix it, and have an idea of whether the one i am looking at is decent or rubbish
  15. The best RB24 thread on SAU using the RB25 crank is by Legend01...have a read, there is sure to be some good info to help you out. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/-t...end01&st=20 He used Arias pistons
  16. NOPE! RB20 goodness.
  17. At a day recently there was a mad punter piloting a bike engined Radical and the thing was in the high 30s, i think it was 1:38s or something crazy, so long straight or not, a Radical will be coming onto the straight 30-40km/h quicker then any road based track car
  18. Roy

    R35 Gtr Or F360 F1?

I dont rate Ferraris as i am a farking idiot who cant admit publicly that they are awesome and make you drive around with a big gaping smile from ear to ear....i mean i am simply too manly to asdmit that some Italian pose mobile is such an awesome thing to drive around in. The GTR meanwhile is quick, but so is a coffee enema
  19. hehe, test driving Ring Taxi on Thursday. If it checks out i so am going to just spend the next 3 weeks driving around doing skids on icey roads in the Alps
  20. So if you run one of these uber duber RB30 cranks that have been offset ground can you still run std RB30 deck height pistons with std RB26 rods, or do you need custom mating pistons for the RB30 crank?
  21. Those that have run the same turbos on the same engine confirm that the -5 is more responsive and much better on the throttle response (supposd transient response of the turbo) So i have no doubt te 2530 may make more power, but it seems they will not provide the same response either...so its horse for courses...lol as is always the case with silly Dastuns
  22. Hislops Falcons have always been quick. I recall his old EB GT running in Improved Production..it was a weapon but those poor 8" wide tyres
  23. If not sold then PM me your bank details and what you would like for postage to Vic
