  1. So how is it driving a left hooker? I found it rather wierd at the Ring in a lowly VW, something quick would be confusing for the senses
  2. I dont get all the fuss about Monoblock calipers. There are plenty of OE monobloc calipers that i would think are less durable then two piece calipers
  3. Cool, good to see it all back together. Looks good and you dont even have the money wheels on it Hoping my paint will be finished before xmas and all my mechanical fixes by end of Jan, then we can go rub panels and undo all the good work of others
  4. That can get expensive then Cheaper to give her a credit card and send her to the Mall
  5. I just got back from Dubai and i was blown away how cool a place it is. Really nice resorts its not too crazy a price and there are cool cars galore. There is certainly plenty for the Mrs to do to keep herself busy whilst you go do what you have to do at the race track
  6. Im jumping on a plane!
  7. They are some mint brakes. I often look at the 4pot Brembos that some Nasca teams run, but have to keep telling myself what i have is fine...sadly they are not cool like your setup. Curious to know the total width of the caliper and what it means for wheel/rim clearance offset wise. LOL, my PI footage is here, my youtube name is the same as my NS username. Check out the Spa footage, way better then any PI footage in a GTSt http://www.youtube.com/user/OZHCR32#p/u/11/y2az4jeRzvg
  8. I love this car. Would be such an awesome daily driver. I hope you are replacing it with another R32
  9. ZR1s are too exxy and you can go to town cheaper on an LT1 with a Lingenfelter kit etc Oh, and i forgot as i have been running around the planet on holidays....will remember to keep an eye out
  10. You have to, have o, have to take this car to the track to give it a run. Forget times, it will be amazing to just open up the taps on the thing and know you wont spend the year in lock up Aaron used to have the best 34 around, i think there are now two equally fark off brilliant white R34s getting around Vic
  11. Reaing EVO a few issues back they wre talking about the new McLaren road car and his focus on making that part of the business work. Does anybody remember the number of cars that must be on the grid otherwise promoters can murder Bernie? Forgetting the new teams for a minute. Sauber and Toyota gone, and possibly Renault. ( i expect them to pull out, i dont care that they signed Kubica). So thats only 14 cars on the grid. I am half expecting one of the new teams to pull out, or at least fall over mid season when their hack has been or rookie driver bins too many cars and they cant keep pace with actual chassis etc etc So is it 16 cars that must be on the grid as promised to even promoters? I think Bernie is going to have to get busy with some support for some people
  12. They creep up on you the silly things. In 5 weeks time i will have had my car for 10years! 8 years ago i would have told you i would have had a 94 LT1 Vette by now...oh well.
  13. I think Trulli is good enough to get the job done if the car is good enough
  14. McLaren washed their hands of Heidfeld years ago and Kimi wants a seat. Kimi will be at McLaren before Heidfeld. i think they would be chasing Rosberg, Sutil, Glock and Heiki before they go Heidfeld, but nothing would surprise me. I still cant see why Rosberg would chose Brawn over McLaren....and i cant see how Rosberg isnt the best pic on the market after Kimi so McLaren have some good options before going to Heidfeld
  15. The real question is if the Concorde agreement means nothing to Toyota then i am not convinced that Renault are not for sale to the likes of Prodrive-Richards etc. Irrespective of signing Kubica, the team is up against it in a time where it has less money then Honda, BMW and Toyota, their prospects for next season are grim with a poor car, new drivers and losses in engineering departments. So, what are the odds if Toyota do call it quits in 10minutes time that Renault will also hand over the team to the likes of Prodrive????
  16. Nakajima wasnt too bad, he was better then most of the GP2 hacks that have come through of late. Kobayashi (Spelling?) had real promise and i would like to see the guy back. I read somewhere that Sato was in with a chance at Lotus?!?!?! Like i said, all these new teams, its laughable that they are coming in with old has been drivers, no testing, no budget, no manufacturer support or even engine deals. Its going to be a circus next year with so much carnage and mechanical failures....its back to the 90s
  17. Can you get Sam to overlay it with my RB20 and TD06 setup from when i ran it on his dyno with my old tune? Be interesting to see how they compare?
  18. Well, here on UK tv they are saying Press Release in 60minutes confirming Toyota withdrawl I wanted to see them hang around, so many new teams next year...its going to be a circus nxt year with Lotus, Manor, USF1 and all these fresh fish Their new boy has some promise and i wanted to see the guy give it a go next year. I cant believe, Honda, Toyota and BMW are not even interested in hanging around as engine suppliers Toyota should just throw their money an resources at Williams and let Frank & Patrick do their thing
  19. Be interesting to see how it goes. I know a pretty serious track car in Vic with that bodykit and it caused a few problems as the thing acted liked a big parachute and hurt top end straight line speed with high amounts of drag
  20. Where is your car these days Matt? Dane, every time i start thinking engine rebuild for more power stories like yours scare me and i will stick with my 240rwkws odd
  21. Agree, he has been awesome in his first two races. Showing more promise then all the other GP2 hacks that have arrived in F1 this year. (Oh, and waiting to hear back froma friend to pick up the seats from you)
  22. Hey Ben might love your car....but i bet it has never caught fire on his dyno. I mean only the real special cars do that
  23. I would never suggest to anyone that they should/can machine wheels. Serisouly, sell them and buy the correct offset.
  24. Fark Dane! Mate, really feel for you! You are bound to turn the corner soon with that car! Hope its only a minor gasket issue etc
  25. You are all mad talking about buying anything with a pressed steel body as the basis of launching a motorsport career You need to get into a control series or a feeder class like Formula Ford and prove in wheel to wheel racing you can make the grade. You need tonnes of natural ability to go with a healthy budget and the sort of dedication that has you wokring second and thrid jobs and volunteering your time with a team To boot it wouldnt hurt to have a sound understanding in mechanics, even better engineering so that you can find the last 0.2seconds that makes the difference between 4-6th places and winning which is the only way you will be able to make a career of it. There are plenty of people out there that can drive, some very good drivers...but very few can make a career out of it Motorpsort is whole lots of fun, trying to make a career out of it is very difficult. First thing you need to decide is what you want to be driving as the styles are vastly different between driving open wheeler or sports cars with loads of downforce and then production based racing where there is no aero, very different driving styles are required....well thats my 4c anyway
