LOL, its always the Spanish papers. Dirty that once again my plans of going to a GP are bein rail roaded but other people not doing their jobs LOL i used to think Snr Management meant shitting on ppl from great heights and jsut makign sure its there problem and not yours. Sad when you cant sack people and hire the people you want...the problems all becme yours. Its ok though, my visa expires soon which means i have to leave and will jam some motorsport into that time

I have read in several places that the red tops do have ticker blocks, but the RB20s dont want for block strength, remember they run the same cylinder spacing as the RB30 but only have 78mm bore rather then 86, so there is plenty of grunt in any RB20 block. Odds are the person had the earlier RB20 rocker covers on a later model RB20...lol i know thats what i have in store for my car if/when i get it back and i cbf'd

With your new setup and stoopid fuel, what is the power band like with your new setup Paul? Your car used to be only a suspension change and a decent brake kit away from being similar to Mark and Russ's old R32, albeit a tad less sharp because of the extra weight. But it seems you are moving more and more away from an all rounder. Not a bad thing, just curious to know whether you have already crossed that line wih the big single or whether it will be with the gearbox!??!?!?!?

Just thought i would post this up for anyone that reads their magazine and reads their website. Could be an isolated thing or something that will affect a few other sites in coming weeks.

Oil Control In Rb's For Circuit Drag Or Drift
Roy replied to Sydneykid's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Serious question, why dont std Rb20s have the problems of the RB26s etc? I mean, i run 19psi, and its run 21-22psi over days at Dutton Rallies. It gets rev'd out to around 8,200-8,500rpm in 2nd gear, 3rd and up i shift at about 7,800. And it makes 260rwkws at 18-19psi, who knows what it is making at the higher boost? I would think that the boost levels and revs and reasonable amount of power would mean i should see the usual RB breathing problems, but none of the similarly powered RB20s doing track work breath. I mean my catch can is dry of oil. I did ths years Dutton on an RB20 that run 1.55bar for 3 days and didnt breath a drop of oil So what is different about the RB20, perhaps the difference can translate to other RBs????? -
Is that your garage Martin? If so max respect as obviously you can enjoy the different merits of two cool but different cars

I am holding out for a well sorted S2000 or S14. They are the only thing i think woudl survive the trip...there are a few M3s but the good ones are abit too bare in the interior to be comfortable for all the road kms...plus BMs ust arent that quick
-
Really, name them? About the only other car i want is an Exige, but i dont doubt that day to day they would soon wear a bit thin whilst commuting based on living with the softer S2 Elise for 4 days I saw a few at Lang Langs the other week at Dutton, they were under tarps...so lol havent really seen one.

20k makes me think i should just pony up the cash. LOl only i have no idea how bad a T88 13B would be. If it had a T67 i woudl seriously buy it for my trip to Spa and the Ring in 3 weeks. You just need to convince Snowie that we are better then a 50:50 of the car lasting 3 days Going against it are the std rebuild 13B. Spacers on the rims and seemingly absence of an oil cooler. Oh, and its only running 8psi so lag, lag, lag then fark all up top with only 8psi. But fark it would still sound cool and looks wild! As is 15K so i have a few bob to throw a smaller GT35R or something on it This one is the better buy and safer bet it woudl last 3 days of track driving and some fun cruising through on awesoem roads...but, of course it is considerably more money, enough to rule it out.

Yeh, in my eyes no car is worth 150k. LOL, maybe that just reflects my income or my acceptance for my propensity to bend / damage cars But i can easily sell myself on buying an 80k car that i adore and all going to plan would never sell. The alternative is a 68 and get it converted which will most likely end up around the 50-60k, but having owned a 427 65 Impala i would much prefer that styling and sound in a more modern package without the headaches that would come from using it as a daily Since GM are hard up for cash, i dont understand why a model that would be a real money turner for them gets canned. At around 370Z money they would be the best value car by a mile, especally with the 300kw direct injetion 6L. Oh well, back to dreaming LOL, thats assuming i like/want an R34. Great car, but not for me...i am white trash thru and thru...white trash = Camaro
-
Its the only car that i am entertaining the idea of buying, all other offering from manufacturers have me shaking my head that i am not going into hock for that. BUT, with all the drama around GM and GMH these days, is there any indication of them doing RHD models. The Camaro is based on modded VE chassis and was designed to be either LHD or RHD so probable. About this time last year it was shown in Melb due to all the local work that went into the car and there was talk that if globally, essentially between Aus and UK they coul dsell 4,000units annually then it would be a goer. So, being OS and not reading all the local rags and magazines...has there been any talk?
-
Hm, i have only been there with Dutton, but i have never heard of people getting into strife. PI seems to the worst, followed by Sandown
-
LOL, just go buy a GT300 car
-
All drag threads end badly. It would be interesting though, drive your car to a street meet, line them up with teh tyres you drove there on and GO!. Simple, and would be plenty of fun if you had a car that was in the ball park
-
There is a neat Super G RX7 for sale in UK at the moment, complete with T88, at a reasonable price too. Only its a silly rotary, if anyone can guarantee it will put up with a day of laps at the Ring and two days at Spa then i will buy it in a heartbeat

Its good to see another loud silver R32 punishing ear drums all day! Tim didnt get pinged for noise?

What Is Your Favorite Aus Race Track And Why
Roy replied to DJRIFT's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
I think by the 26th July i will have a new favourite track. After planning it sicne 2003-2004 i finally get to drive on my dream track. Here is to hoping it doesnt disappoint -
nice kingscorp, your vids are always entertaining. Thanks for posting

That is currently for sale ,aking good money from what i recall. As much as i love my Skylines, if i could own any track car, i mean realistic so no Ultima GTR or F1 GTR i would have to take the Re Amiya Super G RX7. It would have to be track only as no way i cold drive such an outrageous car on the street
-
There are plenty. There is a decent S7 RX7 at the moment for abotu 8k. There is a cool E30 325iS with the 535i 3.5L six in it for less then 5k. LOL, i have familiy and friends over there where i can leave it.
-
I reckon i can buy a GTSt in the UK for the price of a hire car
-
So no Adam, Ryan, Chris, Ray, Datto boys?

Uneven Tyre Wear At The Track
Roy replied to evil_weevil's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
If they are wearing in the middle then surely its incorrectly high tyre pressures? I was lookint at the GoPro website the other day and thought of you when i saw a little red MX5 having its ringer rev'd out of it
