  1. Hamilton at least won GP2. His inexperience threw away a WDC in his rookie year....and he is a the freak of the group that have graduated to F1. Glocks performance this year is really all you can ask for a GP2 graduate. I thnk he has donea good job this year. He is far more experienced then any of this years GP2 pretenders. Pantano at least hads years of racing experience in GP2, F1, etc. All the hot names Grosjean , Buemi etc all have talent, but no way they are ready a seat in F1, especially at the price of the likes of Bourdais and Rubens. Hell Button catn even beat Rubens....so .
  2. Have had a few people trial fit on various cars but nobody has front the cash. Will take $1450 with tyres or $1350 without tyres. Fronts are still near new, rears i have no idea as friends have been driving the car whilst i have been away, they were still plenty legal Currently sitting at a friends over near Ferntree in Melb NEED these gone as have too many car parts cluttering up friends houses and work
  3. Man, he is 25 or something. He is already too old for F1. and he hasnt even won the GP2 series The gy has nto doen enough to deserve an F1 seat, a test seat ...yes. A race seat... NO But i am not a team manager so
  4. No way i want to see Senna in F1 next year. Get back to the days where if you win a Jr series then you test for a season or two. Good on Renault for giving Piquet another season, but if Bourdais, Rubens etc get dumped because young upstarts with a fancy name get a drive then ... meh. its F1 so i should be used to politics ruling surpreme. If Bourdais gets binned for Sato then i will be annoyed with STR. Sato isnt as bad as people make out, but no way he is the same cilibre as Bourdais and has had his chance with plenty of teams. For Bourdais to get dumped for hm wudl be a joke !
  5. Yeh, the bolt size difference was the hardest thing. My aftermarket GTSt braided lines use the block like the std one which is why i modded the bracket with a bend and a newly drilled hole so that i can mount it up factory like.
  6. I think he was talking about GTR_Geoff. i didnt realise Jeff Fear had dramas with his. Explains why it fell of the face of the planet. Wish i had a cool pic of it burning...but then again not really. Would have done more damage if they didnt get to it early
  7. Man, you guys all freak me out with the size wheels you are jamming in under the GTSts. I want to run a 9.5" , maybe 10" rear but only because i want to run a 265 rear tyre Anyway, the car has 9" +20 offset which should be doable and when the guards have been pumped for that sized rim i should be able to get a 9.5" + 36 on the rear aand run 255 tyres. Is anyone running wide rims with decent sized rubber?
  8. Strange. I have aftermarket braided rear lines and they screwed into the GTR caliper no problem. So sinc emy aftermarket GTSt lines worked, i assume then the std GTSt lines would work. I would also expect that the GTR are the same as well. I did modify the bracket that they all mount to the caliper like the R33 lines do, but i wasnt supplied any of the std R33 lines so just made my GTSt ones fit
  9. Dan..your guys are the Kings of getting it going again. I cant remember the dramas you had at Lakes Entrance, btu i remember the damage meant pulling this, welding that and off you went
  10. If he is Johnny on the spot with the driving then a R33 with good rubber can do those times, Fatz and Dincan proved that in his old R33 GTS25t
  11. The early 90s was it for good looking F1 cars. The Footworks, Tyrells etc etc. Every car looked great between 90-92 But my fav...
  12. Interesting that Pedro de la Rosa tested the Force India. McLaren head mechanic testing a Ferrari powered car for a team he doesnt drive for Nice one Ron
  13. You put them inside the house so that the wife could see? Brave man! Yeh, i think as much road driving as you can do jsut top get as many heat cycles into them as possible
  14. Was wondering how on earth he was going to swing the Targa thing, irrespective of the actual date of birth
  15. The Williams looks ok. I dont really care. The look will grow on us, as long as it helps the racing. I do fear for those front wings though in a race start
  16. So good to hear Tims car out there screaming around the track Will have to see how much louder my car will be with the new exhaust

    Fire Works

lol, i am in India at the moment and dodgy Diwali fireworks for the win... nothing beats little kids shooting each other with fireworks. Seems perfectly safe to me I would bring backs bags full if only customs would let them through
  18. Eww, TAco Baz could have at least go tdecent hats for th efinal fling
  19. Your car isnt that old so there is probably little to be gained from upgradign to braided lines. Especially if down th etrack you may consider a new setup, your braided lines will most likley not be able to be used with the new setup. But is pretty simple, check your brake rotor thicknesses, if they are healthy then get them slotted. Just buy some Endless CCX pads and get some Castrol SRF fluid in there. If that isnt enough braking capacity for your car then fair enough...you will most likely need bigger brakes. Yes R34 GTR Brembos do bolt on. For around the same money your other options are G4 etc brakes which people seem to like especially for the price. ...i will add if you are frying GTT brakes with good fluid and pads on the street, you seriously need to look at how you are driving But seriously, you must be hitting some crazy speeds to fry the std gear so maybe best just slow it down a tad
  20. Just remember we are lucky with Skylines as swaybars are relatively easy to bolt on. It is not so easy on EVO Lancers and i know of a workshop that has a spare frotn end from a rear ended EVO in their workshop so that when they receive swaybars they use it for dummy setup as they are sick of having to explain to customers why they had to charge so much for ill fitting sway bar installatio
  21. Comer on man, be fair. You are talking about shocks needing attention after 6 months of rallying....any idea of the sort of abuse they take over single event? I would sugest a single rally event woudl be worth 40-50,000kms of street driving. Especially when you consider that a clutch needs replacing after 2-3 rallies....and at the other extreme they say a single track day is about 6-8,000kms of street driving....then the shocks dont seem to be hanging in there too badly
  22. Hey, it going to hurt the ones i am going to have for sale. But the quality of Whiteline gear as gone to the dogs, and their bars damaged my sump. There is of course a reasonable reason why this has happened, but they were rubbish to fit, worked well and they are sold as a bolt on swap wich turns out you need links with to stop them damaging the car. Hell the holes in teh bar were too small for the botl to go through. Be thankful its the rear and its just hitting the diff....think if it wa hitting a light gauge steel sump ...and while i am whinging. Their customer service is pretty ordinary. Sydneykid off the forum used to be the main reason i persevered as he provided the sort of service and support to the product required. Bt as all things in life, some changes with his work/life etc whatever means he isnt on here as often as he used to be and without his understanding and support of their product i am no longer a fan. But, yeh as Ronin suggets links are the answer. Good luck with getting them...you may be best to just make some adjustable ones using rose joints, whcih any switched on suspension place will be able to do for you
  23. Why TEd wants to sell the HDT Kingswood is beyond me. It has been way nicer to him then the Cortina
  24. Still got the packaging? Check you didnt get R32 front shocks. They are about the same but slightly different length, from memory R32 shocks are a tad shorter. Could be wrong and they could be longer in which case i am way off
  25. 68RS baby! So they are not import to Aus? I read a while ago they were going to? I know there are a few in AUS for durability testing
