  1. Item: Work XD9 rims Age: near new Condition: Excellent Price: $1650 with 2 near new tyres and 2 worn tyres (though still legal). $1500 without tyres. $1400 with the small scuff mark on front right wheel from the second morning i drove the car No wheel damage, just chipped the paint off and intending to get the paint fixed, even though because of the wheel colour its hard to see the chipped paint To Fit: for my R32 GTSt, but will fit R32 GTR, R33 GTSt, etc etc Location: Southbank Victoria Contact: thread or PM Comments: Purchased these wheels because they were +30 offset rather then my old +35s and was hoping that they would clear the brakes i had laying in wait. Though, massively pissed off that even these wheels do not fit the brakes So need to move this gear so i can afford to fix bodywork on car and either flare guards or go GTR guards so i can run +22 or +15 offset wheels to clear brakes i will buy further down the track as it appears as though the wheel offset for an R32 GTSt meansi cant run the Brembos, Greddy etc etc brakes that i have tried Item: Greddy 6 pot brake setup Age: New in packaging. One was unwrapped for trial fitting Condition: New Price: $3100 To Fit: S13/S14/S15/Z32, R32 GTSt/GTR. R33 GTS25T/GTR etc Location: Southbank Victoria Contact: thread or PM Comments: The kit is an S13/14 setup, so will fit both 4 stud and 5 stud cars. Kit is all brand new with lines, pads, rotors and of course calipers. Rotors are 330x30mm. I grabbed the S13/14 kit as i was hoping that the rotor would be more suitable to an R32 GTSt with regards to wheel clearances as Silvias run higer offsets then R32s (typically) . The only difference between this kit and the R32/R33 kits is the hats are drilled both 4 stud and 5 stud. Would make a good upgrade to even GTRs. If you are going to use these brakes on your GTSt or Silvia then be warned. You need to be running a wheel with an offset of around +25 or less. Wheel designs vary and so will the offset required. My problem is i want to run a wide a wheel as possible for tyre and grip reasons, which means i cant go to a +24 offset like i used to with my old 17 x 7 AVS front rims. Will consider trades on forged R32 GTR wheels that are 17x9.5 with offset in the range of +15 to +22
  2. I didt realise you were building a Chev powered R32. Very cool! I have often dreamed about such a creation, the only other engine i would consider instead of a chev would be a 20B, but Chev would be better long term prospect/ Cant wait to see the finished result!
  3. The Le Mans Audi turbo diesel V10s are like 8 years old now. So one should be going pretty cheap in Europe. I am just going to get one of them so i can get my speed fix
  4. Use the grass, there is miles of race track out there that people don't utilise!
  5. Question has to be asked why not then ust throw a complete RB26 in with harness. Less engineering involved and you get the extra 100cc. LOL where do you draw the line with the spend ? hehe thats why i still run a std RB20
  6. LOL, in the 7 months you have been working i have done....oh, no track days Good to see your ride back out there
  7. Jump in either car and follow the other around. You will get an idea of where the respective cars are weak / strong. But even then it is influenced by the parts and mods differences between the cars. I know of a few GTR drivers that have driven my car and have commented on how well it stops. I have never asked htem whether it actually stops better then their cars, my experience at the track in brakign zones is that i can keep with them under brakes, sometimes even catch them up. But then again i am coming up to the corner some 20-30km/h slower, so At the end of the day, i personally believe it comes down to the sum of the parts, that its. GTRs are quick in Vic because they are the properly set up and comprehensively modified cars. There is only two rwd Skylines that i can think of and both are still compromised in the build and just getting the finishing touches at present. Indication of their first few trips to the track are encouraging and i look forward to watching them get some track kms under their belts and seeing the times they can punch out.
  8. LOL, i love how you dont even entertain the idea that it is possible I would be surprised if it was as close as they are saying, but i wouldnt be surprised that he did have to dive on the brakes to miss the pace car. The FIA really need to police the speed and behaviour of cars under the safety, far too mcuh darting around and beside one another. I understand they need to keep temp in the tyres and brakes, but they should not be pulling alongside one another. Best solution is no darting up and back, side to side behind the pace car. Remove the pace car then allow the drivers a lap of no overtaking and getting heat into the tyres and brakes and then a rolling start accross the start finish line ie Indycar style. This removes all the darting behind the pace car for the laps its out there, then gives the drivers a finite window to get heat into the things then introduces chaos on the restart as drivers do the rolling start
  9. HOLY ...! Kimi has not been able to turn that pace into results Be interesting to see on weekends where Lewis has beaten the Ferraris convincingly, whether Heikki was on the ball at all. About the only one that is obvious there is the OZ GP where Heikki did get shafted by the racing gods
  10. If you are going to go cheap, then go HSD. I have been in a few cars runnig them and they are not too bad, and they are new, locally available and height adjustable

    Z06 Vs R35

Here is the thing, watched any production car racing? The HSVs do respectably well against the Evo and STIs. On certain tracks they are easily quicker, Holden happen to be building a good car at present and people seem to have trouble accepting it. I love the fact actually, as they say, variety is the spice of life
  12. If discussing events and actions is being a hater, then i dont care. Tags dont bother me like they do others But when you are driving for McLaren or any other top team, people are watching and going to be critical. I dont have any real objection to how Heikki moved over. Heikki was clearly slower, Heikki isnt in the hunt for WDC and the positional change was not for a race win. So i dont have any objection to Lewis being let through. It would have been interesting if it was Heiiki leading and not PK Jr?!?! Or Heikki is on the same points as Kubica? But thats not the case so the move was the only sane thing to do. What i find alarming is how Heikki cant get near Lewis over a race distance. Lewis has on occasion been far superior to both Ferraris, but on the same weekends Heikki cant beat the Ferraris let alone Lewis. Its a big IF, but if Heikki is as good as everyone says, and how his qualifying efforts are brilliant etc in light of fuel loads, (i think Heikki went longer then Lewis again) then why is it he cant bring the car home in 2nd or 3rd? Fark, he got beat by PK Jr who came from the back fo the grid. Then if Heikki isnt getting the same support over the race weekend, and its affecting his race then thats where i think they need to be fair and label him a number 2. Simply because if its internal politics that means it is difficult for him to do wheel for wheel with Lewis, and is even possibly compromising his poerformances agaisnt the Ferraris then his reputation shoudlnt be taking a bashing because he cant get near Hamilton. Personally, i think Lewis is simply better, but not to anywhere near the level we are seeing on most weekends. If Heikki is clearly that far off the race pace of Lewis then they need to be looking for a new recruit for that seat. Out of interest. Does anyone know where to get the 5 fastest laps of each GP we have had this year?
  13. Same dyno, both std RB20s, same intercoolers, similar exhausts, the TD06 had adjustable cam gears and the TD06 had a different tuner. But you can see below the TD06 is more responsive and perhaps a tad ore powerful, though my car was running more boost so.... You can see the boost curve is very similar between the TD06 and the GT-RS
  14. Lewis is looking good, but like last year the only person that can beat him is himself. Surely he cant throw away a 2nd championship! Not two years in a row. Personally I am hoping Ferrari can get their act together and at least make a contest of it. Its laughable that Hamilton only has the small points lead that he does. I dont think i can like a bloke who makes silly mistakes through the championship and still walks away with it
  15. The thing is, and its a big thing. At least Lewis acknowledged that Heikki moved over for him and made his job easy. What will be interesting is if Heikki actually leads a GP and moves over for him? Lewis was recently talking about how he got there by himself with no help from others (referring to other ex WDC offering him advice) I thought that was a suprememly arrogant comment, but was good of him to concede that on merit Heikki could have decided to race him and held him up. What amazes me is that Heikki is nowhere! The combination of Lewis and McLaren has been so clearly superior at a few GPs and Heikki has been unable to follow him and get the 2nd step on the podium
  16. Sorry to read the car had a tangle Free BUMP
  17. What the hell is a tall boy? Isnt it an item of furniture
  18. But last year Alonso beat Lewis in 5 out of the 7 final GPs of the year. No way Heikki is going to take any points off Lewis from here on in. And, i cant see why people are getting so excited about Lewis' overtaking. He put it up the inside and the other cars made it amazingly easy for him. I was gob smacked how easy they made it. If you want to look at top shelf passes look no fruther then Heikki's move on Kubica. It was top shelf
  19. Heikki should have let him past, and did let him past. The comical thing is that Heikki talks like a number 2, walks like a number 2, and is a number 2. But nobody is saying it. From the start of the year the talk was that he was the team mate to support Lewis on his way to the WDC. Which is a shame as it means its we wont see any meaty racing between team mates. But the season is too far gone for Heikki to bother. Apart from Lewis the only people that deserved their pay cheques on the weekend was Vettel and the BMW boys. Great GP though, but very frustrating to watch with some below par performances from drivers that should know better. Piquet did well to get over the line, but he didnt seize his chance. No way Vettel would have give it to him that easily, knowing that Lewis had everything to lose and only two points to gain by clipping wheels. Was great to see Alonso and Vettel punching it out down the grid
  20. It already had the perfect steering wheel though. NASCAR style
  21. I LOVE 1200 Coupes! And only because I am wierd, i have often considered how long a 20B and weight of a 20B vs a Nissan 4? A 20B with relatively small GT series turbo would be a torquey and capable engine in a little coupe
  22. So how did the times compare to the crazy old guys in their crazy khana cars?
  23. And here is the thing... Heikki's quote from the weekend ... "Fifth position was not what I had hoped to achieve here, but I am now looking forward to the Hungarian Grand Prix, where I will try my hardest to fight for a podium finish." He cant be serious. He is driving the exact same car (So they all keep telling us) that hsi team mate is, a car that has won 4 races this year. Yet is great aspiration is to finish on the podium? Shouldnt he be aiming for the top step, i mean the car is at present clearly the best package out there. I like you Heikki, but now i know i am not reading too much into the whole Flavio didnt care to lose you to McLaren so there isnt anything that special there
  24. Yeh, and it was an interesting year. Ferraris were in the mix, and the McLaren drivers were fighting each other for race wins. This year, Heikki may as well be back on Renault and happy runnnig around in 6th or there abouts

    Z06 Vs R35

LOL, i love people that take that approach. So a car that goes around corners? Have you seen the lap time the Z06 does around the ring? Its slower then the R35 but not by a whole lot. So it obviously handles well. I also find it amusing that people talk about wanting a car to go around corners, yet choose a car with all the electronic goodies with it so it takes a lot of the skill and art out of the equation. Saying you like corners implies you like the driving challenge and then wanting a car that has the smarts to do it all for you seems a bit silly to me Just an observation
